Coming Soon!! and Sale!!

So because the Lady Gaga concert that EC and I were so excited to go to was cancelled, we decided it would be a good idea to have Retail Therapy day and spend all our money at Sally Beauty Supply and Ulta. Good addition to our make up boxes, BIG subtraction from our bank accounts! But we have TONS of new things to show you all, so keep looking out for new swatches of:

China Glaze's Up and Away Collection! It came in the mail today!!!
Our many China Glaze and OPI polishes we picked up on our beauty adventure today!

EC wants to add: Sally Beauty Supply has some good polishes on sale!! We went there because I saw on Getcha Nails Did that the Fingerpaints Holiday collection was on sale for $1.99 each. The Sally we went to didn't have those polishes, but I got Orly Enchanted Forest for $1.99 and EK got China Glaze EMERALD SPARKLE and Medallion (see swatches here) for $1.99. So take a trip to your local Sally Beauty Supply soon!

Oooo don't forget that cool blue Sephora polish from last weekend too! LOL EK and I have problems. And no money.

So I broke down and went to Sallys. And proceeded to buy the Fingerpaints emerald sparkle (I think that's the name - it's the glittery green one :)) on sale for $1.99, and they were having a sale where if you buy a bottle of Seche Vite, you get a free china glaze. So I got Dorothy Who? for free. :) :) :)

But I am now officially on a no buy. I went from a dozen polishes to almost 200 (eek!!!!!!) in just 4 months. Yep, 4 mohths. I too clearly have an impulse problem. :) and no money.

So now I have to channel all of that polish acquisition energy into application of polish energy. :D

I think I probably have enough polish to last a decade, but I know it won't stop me for long. Now I'll wait for good sales b/c except for Vampire State Building I have no strong lemmings. Before, I was afraid the polishes I really wanted from a couple of years ago would become HTF (read: $$$$), so I've been acquiring like mad. There are still a few that would be cool if I found them, but I have no burning need for. That means (I hope ;)) that I won't feel the need to get any new release polishes immediately unless they are limited editions. Everything else must wait for birthday/xmas or a really good sale. :)

Awww booo our Sally didn't have Dorothy Who!! EK bought something with that deal, but I wanted Dorothy Who!

I know what you mean about having so many polishes! But I don't think I'm really going to get too much better on that front. There are too many new ones coming out that I want, plus a big list of old ones that I keep meaning to buy!!

Dorothy Who? really is quite pretty - I'm still waiting for my last (for now ;)) internet small haul to arrive - I got OMG, Mad as a Hatter, Absolutely Alice glitter...and something else...Star of Bombay. I justified DW b/c it has some silver glitter, whereas Alice has gold glitter. :)

It was the only one in the store (and I had to go to 2 sallys) so I felt quite lucky. :)

I don't know how long I'll be able to hold out - I keep trying to tell myself that the polish I already have should be "enough" for now, but I do so love getting new things. :) The worst is that I found a dupe for a chanel I've been lemming but I still kinda want the chanel. Sickness, I know.

Ooooo what Chanel???? Tell me tell me!!! LOL. Buying a Chanel polish just feels so luxurious, doesn't it?? There are always dupes, but I just sometimes can't resist!

I think I need Mad as a Hatter and Absolutely Alice. I haven't ordered them yet because I think, honestly, I was a little glittered-out after all the CG glitters we bought. But I feel myself slowly returning to glitter love LOL, and those are the first two glitters on my wish list!

:) I have 3 decent dupes for Nuit de Russie. See you soon (sinful), Blk Bla Bong (china glaze) and midnight madness (nicole by opi). I'm wearing BBB today and gave my friend a lemming for the chanel, too. :) :D

But I still want the chanel. I actually don't even have any chanel polishes, and normally brand means nothing to me, but those chanels are just special. :)

So I returned some polishes today that I got on sale at sephora (blue grotto, underwater fantasy) and some at full price (brunette on the internet b/c I have about 30 similar reds, lol!) absinthe (b/c it was a backup)...nars chinatown (again, a backup :))...and a couple of sheer polishes from icing. And then I proceeded to buy two dark purple shimmers from icing b/c they look like nars tokaido express and purple rain (at least in the bottles). Sigh. I really am addicted. :)

And I want Nfu Oh nars zulu dupe (569 but they're sold out online). My friend is going to Korea in a week and I'm going to ask her to see if she can find it for me!!! :)

Since I returned so many polishes I'm still working on "free" money. Yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

OOoh I wanted the gold one that came out with that collection, Or de Russie or something like that!
I have a few Chanel polishes around, and I'll tell you, the quality is no different from an OPI or other brand, but they just make me feel special! Stupid, I know...

Why did you return Blue Grotto and Underwater Fantasy? I was kinda interested in them!

Just as a note, I have heard some murmurs that Nars is going to re-release Zulu (!!!!!!!!!!!!!), so you may want to hold off on the dupe.

Free money is good LOL! I ordered some polish awhile back on a Visa gift card and it was so much fun to buy polish on someone else's dime LOL!!

oooooo!!!!!!!! Thanks for the info!!!! I will definitely hold off, b/c I really want ZULU!!! :)

I returned the underwater fantasy and blue grotto b/c I couldn't really see myself wearing them multiple times. I'm just more of a dark color type of girl, or glitters, duos, etc. The pale or midtone colors don't hold nearly as much appeal for me. And I feel like I have to draw the line somewhere. :) I decided if I want a chanel I have to only buy polishes I'm really lemming. :) :)

I did the same thing with xmas ornaments a few years ago - if I REALLY want it I'll get it, but I got rid of 200+ ornaments at the time, so I stopped buying things that were just "cute" or on sale. And that's what those two were for me - just cute and on sale. :)

Speaking of polishes I'm lemming and Chanel, have you seen the pictures from the Chanel Spring runway????? OMG. TDF. I will have to post a link up today, let me find it.

I get what you mean about those two polishes, and good for you for drawing a line. Sadly, "cute and on sale" still sucks me in LOL!
