Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 39- Finally Spring!!

*Sent for review*

I feel like it's finally spring here!!! Wohooo!! The last 2 days have been sunny and got up into the 50s, so it's refreshing for sure! I have some spring-y, refreshing Lynnderellas for your viewing pleasure today, starting with Lynnderella Morning Glory. Lynnderella describes this beauty as a "multishimmered thermochromic vivid periwinkle that shifts to pale blue violet. It also contains iridescent blue flakes with a sprinkle of rainbow dust". The cold shade is just like the color of Morning Glory flowers and the warm shade is a beautiful powdery blue. The warm state really shows off those iridescent blue flakes nicely (you can see one on my ring finger).

This is two coats of Morning Glory. The formula was a little thicker than most Lynnderellas. I had to apply a very thin first coat, and then allow it to dry completely before adding a second coat. It's pretty smooth with one layer of top coat.

Lynnderella Honeydew Froth is another new LE that is perfect for spring. It is the exact color of a juicy honeydew melon, with minty green and pink shimmer. Makes me want to eat a yummy summer fruit salad!

This is three thin coats of Honeydew Melon. It was a little sheer on the first coat, but built up with the second and third. The formula was good otherwise, nice consistency.

Lynnderella April Dreams of May is an older LE that I just got fairly recently. It's my favorite kind of Lynnderella- a chunky glitter topper with all sorts of different glitters thrown in. It has nice red flowers, metallic green hex glitters, silver holo diamonds, and small silver glitter woven in throughout. The base of this one a fresh green tint with silvery shimmer.

This is two coats of April Dreams of May over OPI This Cost Me a Mint (from the SoftShades collection- review coming soon!!). It was easy to apply with the dabbing method. This is with layer of top coat, but if you want it to be totally glassy, you might need two layers.

April Dreams of May is not currently listed on lynnderella.com, but it was there just sometime last week, so keep an eye out! The other two are available now! You can also always email Paul at lynnderellalacquer@gmail.com to see if something is available.

A Spring-y Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 36!

*Sent for review*

Sorry for the radio silence around here lately. Longtime readers of my blog know that this happens every March. It's just one of the fun things about being an Irish dance teacher. I barely have time to shower and feed myself, so blogging time is hard to come by. Stick around for another week or so and it will settle down! Today I do have some beautiful Lynnderella spring polishes for you, starting with the stunning Lynnderella Daffy. Daffy is a gorgeous sunshine yellow thermal with pink shimmer. The cold color is a great bright lemon yellow and when it gets warm, it turns to the prettiest super pastel baby chick yellow. The pink shimmer and yellow micro flakes are visible when it is cold or warm.

I used three thin coats of Daffy for these swatches. It was a little sheer and streaky on the first coat, but really evened out nicely with the second and third. I love yellows and I am really excited about the pink shimmer in this one!

Lynnderella Who Put the "Me" in Mermaid is one half of a cute spring set (the other half is called Who Put the "You" in Unicorn?). Lynnderella says this beauty is "made with five different shimmers, iridescent fire opal glitter, bright aqua holographic microglitter and silver holgraphic micro flakes in a pink-shimmered base".  The pink shimmer really shows through nicely and I am still loving these fire opal glitters! So cool!

This is three thin coats of Who Put the "Me" in Mermaid?. It was easy to apply and has a good formula.

Are you ready for summer?? This polish makes me long for summer days at the beach with a great neon pink on my nails! Lynnderella Pink-Up Line is a hot pink with lots of holo microglitter. It's pretty neon, my camera was kind of having a heart attack about it. But it has shimmer in it as well, so it doesn't look chalky the way some neons do. The holo glitter really makes this one special.

This is two flawless coats. You could maybe even do one coat, it's a real winner formula-wise.

Daffy and Pink-Up Line are on lynnderella.com now and you can order the spring set with Who Put the "Me" in Mermaid? by emailing lynnderellalacquer@gmail.com.

First Lynnderella Friday of 2016!!

*Sent for review*

Happy New Year!!! I hope you had a fun New Year's Eve last night, whether you stayed home or partied til dawn! I have a pretty new LE Lynnderella for you today, Lynnderella Cloudy Blue. Cloudy Blue is described as "blue- and pink-shimmered translucent blue thermochromatic that shifts to clear when warm. Featuring cloud, star and dot multi glitter.". It is a kinda of squishy blue shimmery base, but I found it to build to full opacity on it's own. The mix of pink and blue shimmer in the base is very pretty and soft looking. I didn't get any cloud glitters out in this go round, but I didn't realize they were in this at the time, so next time I will pay better attention!

This is two medium coats of Cloudy Blue on it's own. It was pretty easy to apply, although the glitter tended to get a little stuck together and concentrated in one area.

So I know the description says that this shifts to clear when warm, but I found it to me more white when warm, which I actually prefer. It's actually a pretty opaque white too as you can see. I'm not a huge fan of polishes that shift to clear, as I hate seeing my whole nail under it, so I like that this is a nice shimmering cloud-like white.

Vapid Lacquer Snow Fox and Black Friday 2015 Swatches!

*Purchased by me*

Vapid Lacquer is doing a restock today at noon CST, so I had to get these swatches up today! Vapid Snow Fox is a soft creamy white crelly with holo shimmer and gold, bronze and silver chrome flakes.  The holo shimmer is subtle, but you do catch a glimpse of rainbow-y goodness depending on the light. The gold and bronze flakes are so pretty in the off-white base!

I did three coats of Snow Fox. It was easy to apply and had a really great consistency. With the crelly base, there is a little VNL left, but I don't mind it here.

Vapid Black Friday 2015 is a black holo with tons of the same gold, bronze and silver chrome flakes as Snow Fox. Black Friday is also a thermal, as you will see below. This one has a very strong linear holo flame and the chrome flakes add a nice golden bronze tone to the polish. Black Friday 2015 is totally unique from any other black holo in my collection!

This is two easy coats. I am quickly falling in love with the Vapid formula. It has almost that gel-like consistency and it's just so effortless to apply. I barely did any clean up here!

Here are so shots of Black Friday in it's warm state and changing back to cold. I had to use water to make it change, it was cold out again. CT has had such warm weather, but it seems I keep swatching thermals on the coldest days of the year!

I love how the warm state shows off the chrome flakes really well!

These two polishes, as well as Sweaters n' Denim and several others, will be restocked today on http://vapid.mybigcommerce.com at noon CST. I plan on grabbing Pegasus Poots, Twerk-uoise and maybe Problem Child!

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 22! Advents!

*Sent for review*

Happy first Friday in December! I am listening to Christmas tunes and I'm going to start decorating this weekend. The weather is still pretty warm here though, so it seems weird that Christmas is in 3 weeks! On this Lynnderella Friday, I have some of the 2015 Advent polishes for you!! The Advent series is probably one of my favorite things that Lynn does. She releases a dated polish for each day in December leading up to Christmas. Let's start with today- Lynnderella 12/4/15 Chimney Corner. Chimney Corner has a translucent warm gray base with a purply-mauve tiny filled with lots of holographic glitter and shimmer. The shimmer is pink and it's a nice look with the warm gray polish.

This is two coats of Chimney Corner. Although the gray base is described as translucent, I found it to be quite opaque. It was very easy to apply and nice and smooth!

The theme of this year's Advents seems to be fairytales and Lynnderella 12/5/15 If the Shoe Fits is probably the most perfect fairytale polish I have ever seen. Even the name is ultimate fairytale material! I don't even really like pink polish and I am swooning over this one. If the Shoe Fits has pink, blue and purple holo glitters, small purple glitter and tons of iridescent shimmer. It has the most adorable pink, blue and purple mini hearts, as well as my favorite circle glitter.

This is one coat of If the Shoe Fits over OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender. It was pretty easy to apply, I did move some of the hearts so that they were better positioned. I also tried this on it's own and you can wear it alone in three coats, but I like it layered a bit better. I think it really brings out the shimmer.

Lynnderella Unicorn Candy is the lone non-Advent I have for you today, but it is a fun one! Unicorn Candy is a thermal polish! Lynnderella says this is a "multiglitter that contains assorted neon and bright glitter accented with white and pink-lilac holographic microglitter in a blue-shimmered translucent pink thermochromatic base that shifts to clear when warm". The base goes from a hot pink (see above) to clear (one picture down). This has my favorite circle glitter again in lots of fun party colors, as well as large hot pink stars, large yellow hearts, small yellow stars, and yellow lightening bolts.

Below you can see the polish when it's warm. I had to use water to make it change because it was cold out the day I took these pictures. If I tried to wipe the water off, it would change back, so sorry for the water!

This was easy to apply with the dabbing method. Since there are a lot of larger glitters, it is best to dab it on and push it around with the brush to separate any glitters that get stuck together. This is two (really more like one and a half) dabbed coats over OPI Alpine Snow.

OMG you know the Harry Potter lover in me is freaking out right now!! Harry + Lynnderella= best thing ever!! Lynnderella 12/8/15 The Sorcerer's Stone has gorgeous holo silver microflakes with all different colored jewel-toned flakes. It has a lot of pink and blue shimmer in a clear base. This polish is very unique and just what I like to wear during the holidays. So gorgeous!!

This is three thin coats of The Sorcerer's Stone by itself. I was happy with the coverage and I love how it looks alone, but I bet it would also look amazing layered. It was easy to apply. The flakes are pretty small, so they all lay nice and flat. It was smooth to the touch with one layer of Essie Gel Setter.
