Born Pretty Store Stamper, BP-55 and BP-49 Plates!

 *sent for review*

Born Pretty Store recently send me two of their newer stamping plates and a new stamper to try out. The plates are BP-55, a nice selection of floral, leaf and kind of tribal patterns, and BP-49, a mishmash of stars, hearts, diamonds, moons, and more. The stamper is the soft squishy variety that I've been wanting to try. My old stamper is the old harder kind and I've heard great things about the squishy variety. I like it so far, but I did have to prime it several times. I didn't have a crystal file handy, so I think I should still prime it again with a crystal file. It sometimes wasn't picking up all of an image.

I used Sally Hansen Insta Dri Silver Sweep to stamp over Zoya Leslie. I used the BP-55 plate on my pointer and middle finger, and BP-49 on my ring and pinkie. I love how the silver looks stamped over the pale lavender, it's sort of a subtle look.

I definitely recommend these two stamping plates, especially BP-55. I love the leaf pattern especially, but like everything on that plate. I think I like the squishy stamper too, but I still need some more testing on that after I file it properly with a crystal file. These items are all available at Born Pretty Store!

Wintry Wonderland Stamping with Born Pretty Store Plates!

*sent for review*

One of my 2015 blog resolutions is to try to get better at stamping. This means I have to try to do it more often. Typically, when I do stamp, I do it once, get super frustrated, and then don't try it again for months. Practice makes perfect with nail art, so I need to try more often! I recently got some new stamping plates from Born Pretty Store,  as well as a new stamper (review coming soon), so this seemed like the perfect time to start. I went with a wintry wonderland theme, since it is snowing (again) today.

*purchased by me*

I used two plates, one with an arctic theme- penguins, snowy mountains, an Eskimo girl, igloo, etc. and one with a variety of snowflakes, with China Glaze Frostbite as my base and Konad white polish for stamping. The penguin on my ring finger is missing his tail and the penguin on my pinky was a bit large for that nail (I misjudged!), but otherwise the images made it onto my nails. I need to work on making them be more crisp and not blurry for sure. My mountains are like impressionist mountains LOL. I think it would help if I were a more patient person... :/

If you are more talented at stamping than I am and like cute penguins and wintry designs, I definitely encourage you to check these plates out. The arctic theme plate with penguins is available here at Born Pretty Store for $.99 and the snowflake plate is $2.99 and is available here at Born Pretty Store.

Born Pretty Store Adorable Cat and Moon Decals!

 *sent for review*

Born Pretty Store hands down carries the best selection of black cat nail stickers and water decals on the interwebs. As the servant of a black cat, I personally can't get enough of black cat nail art. I picked these pretty kitty water decals out and couldn't wait to try them. This kitty is fancy looking and very elegant. One sheet of these decals has 20 cats, so two full manis, and costs $1.99. There are 5 different cat poses, all very adorable. This is sheet D244. D243 is shown on the same page of Born Pretty Store, but the black cats are kind of creepy and melted looking. Those would be great for Halloween, I'm sure!

These decals are easy to apply. Just cut out the decal you want to use, remove the plastic top film and soak the decal in water for 20-30 seconds. Slide the decal off the backing and apply to your nail. Add a layer of top coat for lasting power. I used OPI Suzi Has a Swede Tooth for my base here. One note, if you have small nail beds and short nails like I do, these will certainly be too large for your pinky nail. I had to cut the tail off of the poor kitty on my pinky LOL. Still cute though!

I also got these great golden moon decals from Born Pretty Store. I thought they'd look perfect over a night sky-like shimmery blue, so I used OPI Unfor-Greta-bly Blue for my base. These cute decals also come in silver if you prefer, and can be used as little half moons on some nail beds. There's a picture of that on the Born Pretty website if you'd like to see, but I think they're too wide for me to do that. I like them centered on the nail too! These are $2.86 per sheet, so still a bargain for sure.

These apply the same way as the cat decals, with a bit of water. They are so easy to use and really ideal if you are a nail art dunce like myself. They take no skill, so they're also perfect when you're in a rush.

Born Pretty Store has both of these decal sheets in stock and tons of great Halloween and holiday nail art stuff too, if you're looking for that! Remember to use coupon code ERJ61 for 10% your order. I plan on ordering more of those fancy kitties!

Also, I have to share a picture of the packaging of the kitty decals. "Just stick them onto your finger and foe nails". Ahhhh, foe nails. Don't ya hate those?

Born Pretty Store Cat and Skull Stickers

*Sent for review*

I am pretty much making it my mission to acquire all of the cat-themed nail art supplies available at Born Pretty Store. I am a card-carrying Crazy Cat Lady and I do love to have cats on my nails. I recently saw this new sheet of nail stickers featuring cats AND skulls (another favorite nail theme) and knew I had to have it. This sheet of stickers offers both large and small cats in red, green, black, pink and blue, two different kinds of skulls in red, black and green, a couple of crosses sticking out of grass (grave markers? Or am I being morbid?) and some weird 3-pronged boomerang looking items (as seen on my middle nail). I really bought this sheet for the cats and skulls and kinda wish it only had cats and skulls, but for $1.69, I still feel like I got my money's worth.

As you can see, I really went for an authentic cat lady feel to this mani and accessorized with some stray black cat hairs. I apologize for those- Binx went to the vet for his yearly check-up/shots today and he is still massively stress shedding. Poor baby! The vet said he is doing great and she admired how gorgeous he is though, so that's good! Anyway, these stickers were super easy to use. Just peel off the sheet, stick on your nail and finish with a layer of top coat to seal them in. For this look, I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls as my base color.

Independence Day NOTD!!

 *Products sent for review*

Happy Independence Day to all of my US readers! I hope you have a fun day planned and a day off from work. I came up with this mani idea one night when I couldn't sleep and had to do it for today. I used OPI Over & Over A-Gwen for the two red nails, OPI Alpine Snow Matte for the white (top coated to make it shiny) and Nicole by OPI Live in the Momentum for the blue.

The gold stars are from set #3 here on Born Pretty Store (see my original review here) and I believe the crystals are from Born Pretty Store as well. I just stuck the stars and crystals on after applying top coat and then top coated over them, but you could use nail glue if you want them to last longer. The stars are not solvent resistant and I can see a bit of yellow bleeding onto the white nail, so I think next time I would not top coat over those.

Enjoy Independence Day here in the US and Happy Friday to my non-US readers!

Born Pretty Store W-03 Stamping Plate

 *Sent for review*

I've been getting back into stamping lately, mostly using it for fun accent nails, so I was excited to try this stamping plate that Born Pretty Store sent me. This plate is their W-03 plate and it's only $1.99 on their site right now! Hard to beat that! It has an interesting selection of nature-themed patterns, including butterflies, a cute snail, paw prints, hoof prints, a ladybug, a seashell and several kinds of flowers. It also has a flaming heart and feet, haha!

Now, my stamping skills are definitely rusty (they were never good to begin with) and I had a few difficulties with some of the designs. I wanted to use the cute snail, but I could not for the life of me get the whole image to transfer to the stamper. I am assuming this is my fault and I will try again after I practice a bit more. I also couldn't get one of the butterflies to transfer properly. So I ended up with the flaming heart, feet, and paw prints (although the paw print on my pinkie nail came out better than the two on my ring nail). My base color is Orly Berry Blast and I used the Konad white polish to stamp.

For $1.99, I think this plate is worth it. I really wanted it mostly for the adorable paw prints! I want to do a mani with my black cat stickers from Born Pretty Store and these paw prints, how cute would that be! I hope I can work on my stamping skills and get the snail to work, because I really love that image too.

If you're looking around for something cheap and cute to add to your next Born Pretty Store order, consider this stamping plate if you like nature-themed designs like I do. Born Pretty Store has a bunch of stamping plates, including one with a mustache design that I want next! Remember to use the coupon code ERJ61 to receive 10% off your next order.

Fun with Born Pretty Store Decals!

I was hoping to swatch the Zoya Tickled collection today, but I have a massive cold on top of my already bad spring allergies. I honestly can't muster up enough energy to swatch 6 polishes, take 80-something pictures, pictures about 18 pictures, crop at least 18 pictures, and write about 6 polishes. 6 isn't even very many polishes, but I am exhausted and can't put the tissues down for very long either. So today I have two cute little looks with decals from Born Pretty Store.

This is OPI Kiss Me, I'm Brazilian! with these awesome Born Pretty Store bow decals. I love decals from Born Pretty Store for easy nail art looks. They're super easy to use, impossible to mess up, and add a cute touch to a mani. These are water decals, so you just need a little dish of water and a paper towel. After applying your base color, cut out the decal you want to use, remove the plastic cover sheet, and soak it in the water for 20-30 seconds. Slide the decal off the backing and position on your nail. Dab the nail with the paper towel to dry and finish with a layer of top coat. The blue bow above looks a little pixelated in the pictures, it looks more evenly colored in person though.

Here we have China Glaze Mimosas Before Manis with a different set of Born Pretty Store bow decals. I actually wanted the cute kitty decals on that same item page, but I didn't select the right item number, d'oh! If you go to that page, you can see the bows with "lucky" script like I have on here (cute for a night out at the casino, haha!) and also a set with kitties. The kitties are adorable- they're dancing and prancing, and there are fish and paw prints too! I think I need to get those as well.

These are also water decals and they apply the same as the first set of bow decals. Adorable and easy as pie!

Born Pretty Store Nail Glitters

*Sent for review*

Happy Valentine's Day! I don't really do anything for Valentine's Day, including nail stuff, so I don't have a Valentine's mani for you today. I do have some really fun nail art stuff that I couldn't wait to play around with from Born Pretty Store. These nail art glitters are a good example. They come in a huge variety of colors and shapes and using them is super easy! These particular glitters come in a set of 12 bottles and I chose the set with holo blue donut holes, yellow flowers, iridescent stars and star cutouts, iridescent orange stars, iridescent purple moons, iridescent coral stars and more. I had a fun time combining these glitters on my nails today! In these first two pictures, I used the blue donut holes, yellow flowers and iridescent stars and star cutouts.

Next we have holo copper stars and star cutouts, iridescent pink stars, and iridescent white stars and star cutouts. To apply these, I simply stuck them on my nails while my top coat was still slightly tacky. For longer lasting results, you can use a dab of nail glue. These are slightly raised, but if you have a larger area of nail bed, they should lie fairly flat, like they do in the middle of my nails.

Finally, I used the gorgeous iridescent coral stars, iridescent purple moons, and iridescent pink hearts. I LOVE the coral stars, they are my favorite! You will see them again, I'm sure. These are not solvent resistant as far as I know, so you should stick to using them on top of polish.

I didn't use the three glitters below in these looks, but they are the colors of the Irish flag, soooooo, you might see them soon!

*Sent for review*

You can find these glitters here on Born Pretty Store's website. They actually have 6 different sets of colors and shapes, this is set #3. Each set comes with 12 bottles of glitter (bottles pictured above) and one set is $4.59. Don't forget to use coupon code ERJ61 at checkout for 10% off your order!

ADORABLE- Born Pretty Store Black Cat Stickers!

 *Sent for review*

After all the red and green glittery Christmas manis, I was in the mood for a palette cleanser type mani, so I dragged out the old favorite OPI Stranger Tides. Never one to leave well enough alone, I then spotted the black cat nail art stickers I recently received from Born Pretty Store!! Obviously, I could not resist these stickers, and why would I bother trying since a sheet of these is only $1.99?!

Some of these stickers have crystals, either on a "collar" on the kitty or as part of a paw (like my pinky nail) or heart. My favorites are the sitting kitty that I have here, and the one that looks like he's prancing around. Binx prances around a lot, so it really looks quite a lot like him!

These were total cake to apply- just peel the sticker off of the sheet, stick on your nail, and seal them in with a layer of top coat. They laid nice and flat, no edges sticking up anywhere, and they stayed on perfectly for the length of this mani (2 days I believe). I'm going to order some more sheets of these, they are way too cute!

  *Sent for review*

You can get these stickers right now for only $1.59 (til January 3). Everything on the whole Born Pretty Store site is 20%!

I tried to get a picture of Binx in a Santa hat, but the Santa hat is too big. Also, the only time this will ever happen is when he is asleep, but I feel like it would be cuter if he were awake LOL.

SinfulColors Pine Away with Christmas Decals!

*SinfulColors Pine Away purchased by me, decals sent for review*

The "good" Walgreens in town is not really on my way home from work on Wednesday nights, so I often take a little stroll through to see what's new. The SinfulColors holiday display caught my eye and SinfulColors Pine Away came home with me this week. Pine Away is the perfect Christmas green I've been looking for. Sometimes I feel greens are too dark or too summer-y to be a real Christmas green, but this one is right on. Pine Away is a dense foil, so it looks glittery, but is totally smooth to the touch.

Pine Away has great pigmentation. It was nearly a one-coater, but I did two in these photos. The formula was also excellent. Gotta love when a $1.99 polish is super pigmented, has a great formula, AND looks amazing!

I was going to a Christmas fair this weekend to work at a fundraiser for my dance school, so I wanted to add some holiday decals to my nails. I used these Born Pretty Store water decals I showed you last year. I was originally just going to do an accent nail or two with decals, but I got a little excited and just kept putting them on LOL.

Here's a close-up of the cute Santa in a sleigh that was on my thumb nail.

*SinfulColors Pine Away purchased by me, decals sent for review*

SinfulColors Pine Away is available at a Walgreens near you and the Christmas decals are still available at Born Pretty Store.
