Two Shades from the new Barielle with ProSina Collection!

*Sent for review*

Hope your weekend is going well so far! Mine is nice and relaxing, the first weekend I've had without work in quite awhile! Today I have two shades from the new Barielle with ProSina Signature Collection. Barielle selected some popular shades from their core collection and infused them with a hydrolyzed keratin they call ProSina. They say that "ProSina is a polypeptide that works with the keratin in the nail to improve the overall durability and elasticity of then nail plate". It also promises to provide hydration to repair damaged nails. I haven't worn these shades enough to test these claims yet, but a full test is in the works. I could use some nail repair right about now. The winter has killed my nail health! Moving on to the colors, Barielle Orange Parfait is a pretty bright peachy orange creme. It's a perfect juicy orange coral for spring and summer.

This is two coats of Orange Parfait. It was really easy to apply and has a fantastic formula. If it improves nail health too, I will be thoroughly impressed!

Barielle Pretty Woman is a dusty deep blue creme, like a cross between navy and a deep cornflower. It's not as dark as navy, but has some brightness peeking through. This is a great color for any time of year!

This is two easy coats again. I hope all of the ProSina-infused colors have this great formula!

I love the easy glide-on formula of these two polishes and their rich colors. I will be testing them out to see if I notice any improvement of my nail condition after wearing them!

The new Barielle ProSina Collection is available now on barielle.com.

Barielle Naturale Eye Shadow Palette Swatches and Review

*Gift from Barielle*

Happy hump day!! The lighting hasn't been good for polish swatching the last few days, so I figured I'd show you a little something different for today. Did you know that Barielle has eye shadow palettes?? I didn't know until they sent me one as a gift over the holidays! I have been wearing this a bunch of times lately, so I thought it was time to tell you about it. The Barielle Naturale palette is a nice selection of six gorgeous neutral eye shadows. There is a matte medium brown, a shimmering pale rose gold, a shimmering gray-taupe, a shimmering champagne, light copper with glitter flecks, and a dark shimmery brown.

I like the finish on these shadows a lot. The shimmers are soft, glowing shimmers, rather than super metallic ones. I also like that they did include a matte brown, because I always think you need to use at least one matte in your shimmery shadow looks, and this is a perfect crease shade.

These swatches were done with the included foam applicator over bare skin- no primer! I have been wearing them with a Maybelline Color Tattoo or MAC Paint Pot as a base. They last for at least 8 hours with no creasing or fading for me!

This palette is relatively small in size and the packaging is a light cardboard. I like both of those features, because it makes this the PERFECT palette to throw in your purse for touch-ups or taking your work makeup into the evening. As much as I love my UD Naked palettes, they are not exactly purse friendly, unless you like to tote your whole life around. This takes up only a few inches of space and weighs next to nothing!

I am impressed with this eye shadow palette and am happy I got to try it. The Barielle Naturale shadow palette is available now on Barielle.com.

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 11!

*Sent for review*

I have a smaller, but still so sparkly, Lynnderella Friday post for you today! This has been a rough week, just getting back into the swing of things after the summer! Lynnderella Tiger Heart is definitely cheering me up though. Tiger Heart is a very special Lynnderella because it was "created to benefit The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado. The charity’s mission is to rescue and care for abandoned and abused lions, tigers, bears and other exotic animals that have been confiscated by law enforcement agencies from illegal situations". This is a cause near and dear to me- I am a huge lover of animals, especially big cats. Not only does Tiger Heart support a great cause, but it is also a striking assortment of bright rainbow-colored glitters in all shapes and sizes. The rainbow glitters are paired nicely with black and white accents and silver holo microglitter.

I used a white base for this mani (OPI Non-Stop White) to really show off the range of colors in this polish. This is just one dabbed coat of Tiger Heart, the glitter is plentiful. It was easy to apply and had a great consistency. I'd love to wear Tiger Heart over a bright neon pink next for a totally 80's feel!

 *Purchased by me*

Next up is a polish I've been meaning to get for ages, but I just picked it up in Lynnderella's first ever Warehouse Sale (LOVED this sale!). Lynnderella Nine Drummers Dreaming is a core polish from the Twelve Days of Christmas collection, but it works very well for fall too. Nine Drummers Dreaming has purple, red and green metallic glitters with some gold and white accents in a purple shimmered clear base. It really looks Christmas-y on top of this dark green base, but I am OK with that cause 97 days til Christmas!!!!

This is one dabbed coat of Nine Drummers Dreaming over Barielle Born 2 B Naughty. It had a great formula and applied very easily. I am so happy I finally got this and can't wait to wear it at Christmas time!

Tiger Heart and Nine Drummers Dreaming are available on lynnderella.com. Lynnderellas are also available on lynnderella.storenvy.com.

Barielle Hot Chic Fall 2015 Collection Swatches!

*Sent for review*

Fall is time for jewel-toned and vampy polishes and Barielle has five great fall shades in their Hot Chic collection for Fall 2015. Barielle Secret Desire is a jewel-like amethyst purple with glowing pinkish shimmer. It looks deep and sort of vampy, but it also is bright enough that it never looks black or muddy, even in low light. The shimmer in Secret Desire is nice and smooth looking, but it's not hidden at all. I like my shimmers to be obvious, personally!

This is two easy coats of Secret Desire. The first coat seemed a little uneven, but the second coat made it very smooth and even and it was nicely opaque.

Barielle Born 2 B Naughty is the perfect dark green creme for fall and winter. It has some blue/teal undertones to it, making it more complex that other dark greens. I am pretty much in love with this shade, it's just the perfect moody teal green for fall.

This is two coats of Born 2 B Naughty and it was very easy to apply. It has nice pigmentation and a good consistency.

Barielle Harley D is a dark chocolate brown with coppery golden shimmer. The shimmer is stronger in the bottle than it is in most lighting situations, although in sunshine it shows up very nicely. You can still see the shimmer in lower light, it's just not quite as strong as it seems in the bottle. I'm so glad you can see the shimmer, because I really love the golden shimmer in the luscious brown. This is possibly my new favorite brown polish!

This is three coats. The formula was thinner than that of the other polishes in this collection. It had a tendency to flood my cuticles, so I suggest not loading up your brush too much and going slowly with the application.

Pumpkin-y orange with golden copper shimmer? YES PLEASE!!! Barielle Orange U Jealous is a delicious combination of a warm orange with gold shimmer. Barielle calls it "burnt orange", but I usually think that is more brown. This is a nice red-toned fall orange, but not brown looking. The shimmer in this is delectable, just perfect!! This is my favorite fall polish of 2015 (so far LOL)!

This is two coats. It was easy to apply and nicely pigmented.

Barielle Sheer Nonsense is not sheer at all, funny enough. Sheer Nonsense is a putty colored creme. It is a combo of off-white, gray and maybe a little neutral sand color. If you're thinking this might be similar to OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, it is not. It is much less white/bright and more warm sand colored, whereas MBSW has cool gray tones.

This is two coats, but Sheer Nonsense was almost a one coater. I think that makes the name "Sheer Nonsense" funnier LOL. It is like the antithesis of sheer, haha. It applied well and is very pigmented. I did a second coat to smooth out any streaks, but it was pretty even.

Barielle nailed it with this collection. Orange U Jealous is necessary to my life and I love Born 2 B Naughty and Secret Desire too! The Hot Chic collection is available on barielle.com.

Barielle Glitter Mania for Spring 2015 Swatches!

*sent for review*

The weather is starting to get nice finally and I'm in the mood for some fun spring manis. The new Barielle Glitter Mania collection is perfect for bright and cheery spring nails. Barielle Confetti is an aptly named mix of multi-colored matte hex glitters in a clear base. It really does look like confetti, thanks to the matte finish of the glitters and black, white, hot pink, baby blue, and peach colors. Confetti is a really fun glitter and I think it's just perfect for layering over any spring bright or pastel shade.

I used two dabbed coats of Confetti over Barielle Heaven Sent. Dabbing worked best here to space out the glitter evenly over my nails. It was pretty easy to apply this way, but I did have to move the glitter around a bit because it liked to concentrate itself all it one spot.

Barielle Princess Pink is a metallic pink glitter with a clear base. Princess Pink has a couple of different sizes/shapes of the same color metallic pink glitter, so it's more interesting looking than glitter that is all the same size.

This is just one coat of Princess Pink and the coverage was pretty good. I thought it was easy to apply and I used regular brushstrokes, not dabbing, for this. I used Barielle Gray Sky as my base. I like grey and pink together a lot and this would be a great rainy day spring mani!

I have two favorites in this collection and Barielle Gemstones is one of them. Barielle just calls this a "multi-colored glitter", but that hardly captures it's true magic! Gemstones has teeny blue microglitter, larger silvery blue holo glitters and metallic purple orchid glitters in a clear base. I am such a sucker for glitters that mix blues and purples, so naturally, I love this! I love that the larger blue glitters are holo, they give a nice rainbow flash.

This is one coat of Gemstones over Barielle Rain in Spain (also a favorite of mine!). Gemstones was very easy to apply and I liked the coverage I got in one coat. I think this one could be worn alone in a couple of coats if you wanted, but I love it over Rain in Spain. I did regular brushstrokes to apply this and the glitter spread around evenly. The consistency was perfect too, not too thick with base.

Ooooooh I do like a good teal and copper combo!! This bright copper penny glitter topper is Barielle Orange Flame. Orange Flame has fiery orange-y copper hex glitters in a clear base. I actually have been looking for a glitter topper that only has copper glitters. I find that they are usually mixed with other stuff. I love the way copper looks with blue and teal, so I'll be wearing this a lot!

This is one dabbed coat of Orange Flame over Barielle Under the Sea. With these larger hex glitters, I think it's easiest to dab (like I did with Confetti). Then you can spread them around more evenly. The glitters did have a tendency to want to stick together though, so work fast and spread them out before the polish sets up.

Remember I said I had two favorites from Glitter Mania? Yea, this is the second one. Barielle Mermaid's Fin has beautiful twinkling silver holo small glitters and matte aqua hex glitters in a clear base. With a name like Mermaid's Fin, I'm pretty sure I was destined to love this polish. The combo of the small silver holo glitters and the pastel aqua hexes reminds me of beautiful bioluminescent plankton in the ocean (below, photo from Tumblr).

This is one coat of Mermaid's Fin over Barielle Midnight in Paris. I used regular brushstrokes to apply this and it was nice and easy to work with, no troubles. The consistency was great and the holo glitter is plentiful!

The Barielle Glitter Mania is a great little collection for the glitter enthusiast like myself. My top two favorites of the collection are Mermaid's Fin and Gemstones, but I really like Confetti and Orange Flame too. Being not a pink person, I could live without Princess Pink, but it's nice if you're looking for a metallic pink glitter topper.

April is Barielle's blue month, so I wanted to layer some of these glitters over lovely Barielle blues. They really make fantastic blue polish! You can enter to win $50 of Barielle products by submitting your blue nail art on the Barielle Facebook page
