CrowsToes Indian Summer Raindrop Mani!

*Purchased by me*

Hi everyone, happy hump day! I wanted to share a mani I wore over the weekend, I really enjoyed wearing this one. I've been dying to try one of those raindrop manis with a matted multichrome polish and shiny raindrops, and I've also had CrowsToes Indian Summer on my list of polishes to wear for awhile. Indian Summer is a beautiful multichrome that shows colors ranging from a deep indigo, to rich purple, to a red-pink. It's a gorgeous polish and I was very entertained watching it shift in different lighting.

This is two coats of Indian Summer. It was easy to apply, I had a little balding when I went to apply the second coat, but I didn't wait for my first coat to dry completely. I would recommend waiting in between coats. I used OPI Matte Top Coat to mattify it and then dotted Vapid Lacquer QDTC on for the raindrops. I used an old bottle of the Vapid TC and it has thickened up a lot, so the raindrops definitely didn't come out perfectly. I would use a newer TC next time to make those perfect looking drops. Overall, I like the effect though, and it was a fun mani to wear.

CrowsToes Indian Summer will be available when CrowsToes re-opens on Friday, February 10. This is the original version of Indian Summer, but it will now be available in four different finishes- Original, Sparked (scattered holo), Linear Holo (self explanatory) and Bleached Holo (densely packed linear holo). I'll be ordering the Sparked version, it's so pretty with just a touch of holo! CrowsToes Betelgeuse

 *Purchased by me*

Oh man what stunning polish!! Get out those drool napkins for this one, kids! Feast your eyes on the delight that is CrowsToes Betelgeuse! Betelgeuse is described as "dark ultramarine/aqua blue based multichrome that shifts through a range of magenta purple to coppers to greens packed with an over the top mix of multichrome flakey madness with a bit of spark added for fun". The base is kind of a smoky blue that turns purple and hot pink depending on the light. Then the flakies come in to play, adding a multitude of other colors, including a gorgeous strong green flash. On top of all of that, there is a dusting of holo sparkles! Such an amazing polish!

This is three thin coats. It could be opaque in two, depending on your application. The formula was very good, pretty easy to apply despite the complexity of the polish. Having the multichrome base really makes this more opaque overall, rather than just having a lot of flakies in a clear base. I think that's why this polish packs such a shifty punch!

I love that CrowsToes polishes are never sold out or impossible to get. Lauri pretty much keeps things available for as long as there is a demand and I think that's amazing. That means you can go get Betelgeuse! It's on the site now, but the shop is only going to be open on weekends right now. So this weekend, head on over to http://crowstoesnailcolor.bigcartel.com and grab yourself some Betelgeuse!

CrowsToes Mintally Unstable and Abracadabra

*Purchased by me*

Happy Sunday, hope you are having a great weekend! I wanted to show you my mani from most of last week- CrowsToes Mintally Unstable with an accent of CrowsToes Abracadabra. Both of these lovely polishes are Hella Holo Customs and I know I've mentioned it before, but if you aren't a member of the group on Facebook, you are really missing out!! Mintally Unstable is a stunning mint green holo with a very strong pink/gold contrasting shimmer. It was hard to capture the pink shimmer in photos, even though it is so strong in person, but I think you can kind of see it below.

Abracadabra is like an oil slick turned into a glitter polish. The magic of this one though is that it is so smooth and not like a rough glitter at all. It was even easy to remove! I'm not sure what kind of spell was used to create this, but it is worthy of the name Abracadabra! I used two coats of Mintally Unstable and three coats of Abracadabra here. Both were super easy to apply.

Full sun for holo goodness:

These two polishes are not for sale from the maker anymore, but I have seen a few people selling them in the Hella Holo Customs group. You can only purchase them if you are a member, so I strongly suggest you email hellaholocustomercare@gmail.com to join. By the way, the makers for this month are Dreamland Lacquer (formerly Smitten) and Sayuri and the polishes are GORGEOUS!!

CrowsToes Heartshaped Box of Horse S*#t!

 *purchased by me*

I wore my Valentine's Day mani of SinfulColors GoGo Girl and Love Sprinkles for several days last week. It wore like iron and I was too busy to remove it, so it stayed on maybe a bit longer than I had intended. When I finally took it off, I needed an anti-Valentine's mani for a few days LOL. CrowsToes Heartshaped Box of Horse S*#t! is from the ValenCrows 2013 collection. It was kind of a funny anti-Valentine's collection, with other great names like "Umm, No... He Went to the Pawn Shop". Heartshaped Box of Horse S*#t! is a mix of copper hex glitters and chocolate brown squares, with a nice smattering of smaller red and fuchsia glitters in a clear base.

This is two coats of Heartshaped Box of Horse S*#t! over Zoya Louise. I am really into wearing things matte right now, so I topped it with the OPI Matte Top Coat. The glitter was nice and easy to apply. It had a great consistency too, not too thick or gloopy.

Although the ValenCrows collection is from two years ago, a couple of the polishes are still available on www.llarowe.com, including Heartshaped Box of Horse S*#t!.

From the Untrieds Drawer: CrowsToes Absolum- Your Potions Master

Base: one coat CND Stickey
Color: two coats OPI Russian Navy, two coats CrowsToes Absolum- Your Potions Master
Top: one coat Gelous
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
OPI Russian Navy and CrowsToes Absolum were both purchased by me. All opinions are my own honest thoughts.

Today's post is yet another polish that I do not understand why I left sitting in my untrieds drawer for a few months. CrowsToes Absolum- Your Potions Master is an outstanding mix of jewel tone glitters, including emerald green hexes, blue hexes, silver glitters in a couple of shapes and sizes, and some orange glitters as well. Now honestly, I really purchased this polish because it was named for Alan Rickman, the man who plays Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films. I love me some Snape, so I knew I needed this polish. However, it is absolutely stunning as well! The glitters seem to be extra sparkly in this polish!

For this look, I dabbed two coats of Absolum over two coats of OPI Russian Navy. Application using the dabbing method was pretty easy. A LOT of glitter comes out on the brush, so you don't need to "try" to get this glitter out! The formula did feel a bit thick, due to all of the glitter, but I didn't find it to be a problem.

CrowsToes Absolum- Your Potions Master is actually in stock right now at Llarowe. I feel like every polish addict already has this polish, but if you don't, you definitely NEED it! Now that I see how excellent this is, I kind of want to order CrowsToes Cheshire, Voodoo and Heartshaped Box of Hors#@t... hmmmmm...

Don't forget to enter my giveaway for a $25 Sephora gift card or $25 in your Paypal account!!! You could buy this polish and others!!
