SinfulColors A Class Act Collection Fall 2015, Part 2!

*Sent for review*

I FINALLY have the second half of my SinfulColors A Class Act collection swatches today! I am sorry for the delay, but the weather has been so completely beautiful and I've been trying to take advantage of that as much as possible. This, sadly, leaves not much time left for swatching. But I got myself together today to show you these five fantastic polishes. First up is SinfulColors Blue Sensation. Blue Sensation is a soft powdery blue with ribbons of silver shimmer. It dries to a lovely satin matte finish that reminds me of my beloved OPI Suedes (still love you babies!). This is a really interesting way to do baby blue, with a different shimmering matte finish.

This is two coats of Blue Sensation. It was pretty easy to apply. Definitely let it dry completely between coats, or else you risk patchiness and streaks. These pictures are without top coat, but I imagine it would look nice shiny too.

SinfulColors Fig is a lovely moody plum with hidden shimmer. It's not over the top shimmer, it's kind of Chanel-like actually, very sophisticated. Fig has some red tones to it, like a red grape. This is going to be my #1 pedi shade this fall! So pretty!

This is three thin coats. In person, it was nicely opaque, even though I can see some sheerer patches in these pictures. The formula was a little on the thin side, so make sure you wipe off your brush well to avoid pooling and flooding the cuticles.

This pop of punchy purple is SinfulColors Hazed. Hazed is a pinky purple with a demo-matte finish. SinfulColors describes it as a "subdued violet", but it's actually kind of bright and I love it!

I like the finish of the demi-mattes in this collection, but just be aware- they seem to take awhile to dry. You could always use quick dry top coat, but that gets rid of the neat finish. This is three coats of Hazed. It was pretty sheer on the first coat, but built up nicely. It was easy to apply.

SinfulColors Blackboard is a demi-matte black with a tinge of deepest forest green. It looks slightly greenish only in bright light. I love that they called this "Blackboard" in a Back to School collection, so cute!

This is three thin coats of Blackboard. I thought it would be more pigmented, but the first coat was kind of sheer, like Hazed. This also takes forever to dry. I don't think it was dry at the time of these pictures and I had been waiting forever. It also didn't dry completely in between coats, so it's kind of uneven as well. Not my fave formula of the bunch.

SinfulColors Ice Blue is a stunning blueberry glass fleck shimmer with flashes of pink iridescence. This is just really gorgeous in person. The glass fleck shimmer is silver, but has almost like a pink duochrome effect to it. The base is a great frozen blue color with hints of purple, very icy and cool-toned.

This is four coats. Ice Blue is pretty sheer. I still had a good amount of VNL at three coats, but it applied very well. You could definitely layer this over a base and still see the spectacular shimmer.

If you missed the first half of my SinfulColors A Class Act swatches, check them out here. I think my favorites of this collection are Truth or Lavendare, Summer S-cool and Blue Sensation. I love all of the demi-mattes, I am still such a matte lover!!

The SinfulColors A Class Act collection is available at Walgreens and other mass retailers for $1.99 during August and September. Don't forget to check out SinfulColors on their website and social media sites:

Happy Lynnderella Friday, Vol. V!

*Sent for review*

We've made it to Friday, yay!! I can't believe it's already the first Friday in August! Today I have another great bunch of Lynnderella sparklies for you, starting with Lynnderella A Link to Love. A Link to Love has green and blue-green metallic and holographic glitter in several shapes and sizes. There are lots of circle glitters in a few sizes (my fave!!), as well as hex, triangle and square glitters. The base is clear and packed with tons of aqua and green shimmer, some of it is holo as well.

This is one dabbed coat of A Link to Love over China Glaze Treble Maker. It was easy to use and has a nice consistency, even with all of the glitters!

*Purchased by me*

Lynnderella Magic Snowcone is a new Special Edition. This is a beautiful sheer white with different colored iridescent glitters and tons of beautiful multicolored shimmer. The iridescent glitters look yellow, blue, pink, purple and greenish. The shimmer in the base looks primarily pinkish in person, but also changes depending on lighting. I think the picture below shows the different colors of iridescent glitters.

This is one coat of Magic Snowcone over two coats of OPI Angel with a Leadfoot. You can wear Magic Snowcone alone in about 3 coats, but there is still a bit of VNL. I think the iridescent glitters actually pop better over a base color, while the shimmer looks more prominent if you wear this with no base. Magic Snowcone was very easy to apply.

 *Gift with Purchase*

Next up we have a Lynnderella Mystery polish. Mystery polishes are "experiments that led to Limited and Special Editions. All are one-of-a-kind, but some may only have subtle differences from final versions and one another". Sometimes mysteries are available for purchase with Special Editions. Lynnderella is having "Christmas in July and August" right now and randomly selected orders received surprise gifts. Some orders received limited editions, some got mysteries and others received grab bags or other goodies. This particular mystery polish came with my order of Magic Snowcone, so that was a nice surprise to open! This one has a sheer purple base, purple glitter with accents of other colored glitters and lots of purple, blue and holographic microglitter.

This is one coat over my Magic Snowcone mani as shown above. This mystery was pretty glitter-packed, but I still found it to be easy to apply. It could most likely be worn alone in 2-3 coats, thanks to it's purple base. Remember that all mystery polishes are different, so it is a really fun surprise when you get one! Christmas in July/August has been really fun too. It's exciting to only order one polish and then you start to open the package and see another one!

Lynnderella When the Moon Was a Star is probably my #1 absolute favorite Lynnderella ever and one of my top favorite polishes of any brand. It has been on the blog before, but it was time for a reswatch. When the Moon Was a Star has gorgeous sapphire blue glitter with holographic silver moons and stars, and holographic gold hex glitter. It also has teeny holographic glitters in a clear base. I have to paste Lynnderella's description here as well because it's so poetic. She says "When the Moon Was a Star, she was new and quite full of herself. Once upon a midsummer night time, she stared into a celestial blue-violet dreamscape, and wished for longer nights. Clear base with stars, moons and hexy planets. Suitable for waxing and/or waning". Love it!

This is one dabbed coat of When the Moon Was a Star over OPI Unfor-greta-bly Blue. It was easy to apply with the dabbing method. I did have a fish a bit for the moon, but the stars came out by themselves.

ILNP Walking Home

*Purchased by me*

Gahhhh!! Look at that holographic beauty!! ILNP Walking Home is one of ILNP's newer "Ultra Holo" polishes and it definitely is supremely holo in the sun. Walking Home is a lovely jewel-toned grape juice purple, with hints of blue. It is intensely holographic in direct sunlight, but you can still see the holo indoors in all but very dim lighting.

This is just two coats of Walking Home. It was so easy to apply, I didn't even do clean-up for these swatches. This is from the ILNP summer 2015 Ultra Holo collection. I was going to wait until fall to wear it, as I tend to like brights and neons in the summer, but I think I'm too in love to wait! Plus, it looks so amazing in the sunlight, I think I need to wear it on a really sunny day!

ILNP Walking Home is available now on ilnp.com.

4 New Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Shades and Reformulated Top Coat Review and Swatches!

 *Sent for review*

I was very happy to hear that Sally Hansen decided to expand it's Miracle Gel range with 20 shades, as well as a reformulated top coat. In my first test of Miracle Gel polishes, I was very happy with the application and wear of the system. However, I did have some trouble with visible brushstrokes from the top coat. I found the top coat to be kind of thin, so I think this contributed to the brushstrokes. This new reformulated top coat is much more plush and easier to apply! Sally Hansen Terra-Coppa is one of seven "sun-baked" shades in the Tribal Vibe collection. Sally Hansen says it "melds the gleam of copper with the earthy appeal of pottery". Any rose gold polish fans will want to get their paws on this beauty ASAP! It looks more copper or more blush-toned depending on the lighting and the sparkle is just so luminous!

This is three thin coats of Terra-Coppa. It was opaque to my eyes in just two coats, but my camera loves to make this kind of sparkly foil look sheer, so I did a third just for the pictures. It was very easy to apply and has a great consistency.

Sally Hansen Tribal Sun is a bright orange creme with hints of coral and peach. This is a nice bright orange for summer, but would also work great in Halloween/fall manis. Tribal Sun is also part of the Tribal Vibe collection.

This is two easy coats of Tribal Sun. I really like the way these Miracle Gel polishes apply, and I find the shape of the brush to be easy to use. It takes some practice, but eventually it makes polishing quicker.

Sally Hansen Teal Twin is a moody blue-green creme. This is the kind of teal that could be perfect for both summer and fall, invoking either thoughts of the ocean or the jewel tones of fall. Teal Twin is a nice rich looking color. This shade is part of one of the new duo packs that also comes with the new top coat.

This is two easy coat of Teal Twin. It was nicely opaque and went on very smoothly. The Miracle Gel polishes do have that gel-like consistency that I find to be so easy to work with.

I've been all about the summer polish shades, but Sally Hansen Boho a-Go-Go reminded me that I will someday be very excited to wear vampy fall shades again! This deep plum creme is part of the Boho Chic collection. Like Teal Twin, Boho a-Go-Go is a rich jewel-toned shade. This kind of vampy shade looks great with the high shine of the Miracle Gel top coat.

This is two coats of Boho a-Go-Go. It applied pretty nicely, although I would advise waiting for each coat to dry to make sure the next coat applies perfectly evenly.

All swatches are shown with one coat of the newly reformulated top coat, which I think is way better than the original top coat. It is thicker, but in a very good way. It makes the polish much more like a gel finish and I had no troubles with visible brushstrokes like I did with the first Miracle Gel top coat. Sally Hansen says the new top coat creates "dramatically fuller-looking nails with a high-gloss, mirror shine finish". I'm not 100% sure I get the concept of fuller-looking nails, maybe they mean your nails won't look thin and breakable? The finish is definitely high-gloss and I like the top coat, fuller nails or not. I haven't tested the wear with the new top coat yet, but if it differs from my original results, I'll let you know.

PRICE & AVAILABILITY: The new Miracle Gel™ Top Coat, limited edition duo packs, Tribal Vibe collection, and Boho Chic collection are available beginning July 2015 at chain drugstores and mass retailers nationwide. Miracle Gel™ Color Coat and Top Coat cost $9.99 each and the limited edition duo pack costs $14.99.
