NOTD- Lynnderella Layering!

 *Purchased by me*

I'm off from work this week (yay!) and I wanted something really fun on my nails. Something with a whole bunch of sparkle and something that is maybe a few too many polishes to use during an average work week. I've been seeing a lot of manis lately with several different Lynnderella glitters layered together, or "Lynnderlayerings" and decided to give that a go! This masterpiece you see here is two coats of Lynnderella Golden Rules, and then some Lynnderella Tanzanite Truth, The Telltale Heart, and I Don't Mean Rhinestones dabbed on top. It looks like a party on my nails! I'm glad I decided to wear this on a week off, because it is very distracting!

My camera likes to make glitter look a little less dense than it really is, but this was nicely opaque in person. It is also wearing like iron! It's been on for 4 days so far with no a hint of wear. I used two coats of Essie Good to Go top coat to make it nice and smooth, but one coat of a thicker top coat like Seche would work as well.

In other Lynnderella news, Lynnderellas are now being sold on Storenvy as well as eBay. If you aren't a fan of purchasing on eBay, you now have another option. Some Limited Edition polishes will be available there at a fixed price, no worrying about auctions. You can now buy Lynnderella polish at lynnderella.com, Storenvy, Glitter Connect(Australia) and Norway Nails (Europe).

Zoya Tickled and Bubbly Layerings!

 *Sent for review*

I wanted to show you the Zoya Bubbly shades over their kind of corresponding Tickled shade for this post. I've included all of the Tickled and Bubbly polishes except Alma and Wendy, but I used them as an accent nail in a mani you'll see later this week (they make an EXCELLENT combo!). I loved the Tickled and Bubbly shades by themselves, but I am completely obsessed with using them together! In all of these pictures, I used just one coat of the Bubbly shade over the Tickled base color. For a full description of each polish and review of their application, please see my Bubbly review here and Tickled review here. This lovely green combo is Zoya Staasi over two coats of Zoya Tilda.

This sparkling ball of fire is Zoya Jesy over two coats of Zoya Rocha. This combo really shows of the gold sparkle in Jesy.

Zoya Binx over two coats of Zoya Rooney makes a lovely sparkling radiant orchid mani.

This one was absolutely stunning in person. I was drooling! This is Zoya Muse over two coats of Zoya Ling. Ahhhhmazing!

And finally, this Barbie paradise is Zoya Harper over three coats of Zoya Kitridge. The picture above is more accurate. The lighting in the picture below is off. This combo is bright and cheery!

The Zoya Bubbly shades really look fantastic when layered. You can come up with endless layering options, which is a nice way to refresh some polishes already in your stash. I want to try these over black, navy blue and white as well. I think the fact that the Bubbly polishes look great alone as well as layered make them a great buy. Well done on these two collections Zoya!

The Zoya Tickled and Bubbly collections are available now at Zoya.com.

Born Pretty Store Gold Glitter Polish

OK so today I have my second polish from Born Pretty Store. You already know that Born Pretty Store is my go-to place for nail art supplies, but I had no clue that I would love their polish too!! I was very pleased with the first one I tried, the Crystal Sand glitter polish, and I really love the way this look turned out as well. Except for the fact that the polish I received doesn't look anything like what it looks like on the website!! Here is the polish on the Born Pretty Store site. As you can see, the polish on the site indeed has gold glitter with large gold, red, and blue hex pieces. But it's a lot more dense than the one I have. The bottle also looks completely different!!

Now, I really like the one I have. I think two coats of it over Nicole by OPI Others Pale By Kim-parison, an eggshell white, looks awesome and fun!! But I don't think it could ever be full coverage like the one on the site looks like it is! As it was, I had to kind of dab the polish on in places to get the red and blue hex glitter to come out and play.

This is such a fun look though, I'm honestly glad I got this bottle. I have a lot of full coverage glitters and sometimes it's nice to wear a layering glitter!! I didn't know what to layer it over, but then I tried Nicole by OPI Others Pale By Kim-parison and loved this combination!!

So... I LOVE this polish. If you love it too and try to order it on Born Pretty Store's site, I am not really sure which polish you will receive though! I personally think it's worth a try though, because I'd be happy with either one of these cool gold glitters. I don't own any gold glitter polish with red and blue hex glitter, so I am pleased to add this to the family. Here's the direct link to the gold glitter polish. Don't forget I have a coupon code for Born Pretty Store on the right side of my page, use the code ERJ61 for 10% off!!

P.S. Happy Easter!! Any big plans for the day? I know lots of families have big, delicious meals and such, so let me know what kind of tasty food you're having!!

These polishes were sent for review. For more information, please see my Disclosure Policy.

Stuff I Found On My Desk, Vol. 1

How's this for a new series of posts? "Stuff I Found On My Desk", a series in which I take several polishes that happen to be sitting on my desk and layer them to my heart's content. When looking around for something interesting to post today, I noticed the giant pile of crap sitting on my desk. I randomly picked three polishes from the bunch and decided to layer them! In a strange twist of events, this coincided with Pink Wednesday!!

On first glance, these polishes don't seem to go together. I think that's the fun part about this series- taking several random polishes that might look hideous together and finding out that they look awesome! Volume 1 of Stuff I Found On My Desk consists of: Lynnderella The Telltale Heart, Zoya Meadow, and Cult Nails Captivated.

Zoya Meadow is a very pretty mauve-y pink with lots of gold shimmer. I used one coat of Meadow for my base color. It's pretty opaque at one coat, so I didn't really need a second, especially since I would be layering two more polishes on top!

Next I layered on two coats of Lynnderella The Telltale Heart.

Finally, I finished up strong with one coat of Cult Nails Captivated and a glossy top coat.

What do you think?? I LOVE it!! Not bad for three random polishes that I grabbed off my desk! I am definitely going to continue posting "Stuff I Found On My Desk"!
