Lynnderella Deep Blue Seeing and LynndeRecap!!

Base coat: one coat Zoya Get Even
Color: two coats of OPI Russian Navy, two coats of Lynnderella Deep Blue Seeing
Top Coat: one coat Gelous
Application: Excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

Lynnderella Deep Blue Seeing is the last (but oh so not the least) of the Lynnderella Sweet Somethings for a Summer Solstice polishes that I currently have to show you. Notice that I say "currently". There are a few SSSS polishes that I did not get that I do plan on picking up eventually (Inner Space especially!!). Deep Blue Seeing is a beautiful bright blue mix of glitters in a clear base. I didn't originally want this one, but I am SO glad I got it! The brightness of the blue glitter is amazing looking!

I wanted to layer Deep Blue Seeing over my favorite navy, OPI Russian Navy. It looks fantastic and the glitter really stands out over navy. I'll be wearing this combo a lot. Russian Navy is one of my favorite OPIs ever and under a Lynnderella, it is Never Enough Nails Heaven! Application was very easy for Deep Blue Seeing. I just applied it like a normal polish! You could probably wear it alone in three thick coats or four thinner ones.

Base coat: one coat Zoya Get Even
Color: two coats of Zoya Lola, two coats of Lynnderella Deep Blue Seeing
Top Coat: one coat Gelous
Application: Excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

While I was wearing Deep Blue Seeing over OPI Russian Navy, I happened to stumble across my bottle of Zoya Lola, a neon pink with a bit of blue shimmer. I immediately thought this would make a great combination, and I think I was right!!  At the moment, I'm not quite ready for dark colors, so I actually enjoyed wearing Deep Blue Seeing over Lola more than I enjoyed Russian Navy. I'm sure that will change in the later fall and winter!

This is two coats of Deep Blue Seeing over Lola. I did slightly thicker coats on my pointer and middle fingers and a bit thinner on my ring finger, and even a bit thinner on my pinky. I just wanted to show how much the thickness of a coat changes the opacity of the glitter. I do think I could wear this alone with three coats of the thickness of my pointer and middle finger!

Since Deep Blue Seeing is the last of the Sweet Somethings for a Summer Solstice polishes I have for now, I thought I'd just link to all of my SSSS posts in case you missed any:

Lynnderella Deep Blue Seeing is available on her eBay Store, soon to be accompanied by Early Halloween Resurrected (UnDead Red, yes please!)!!

Lynnderella I Don't Mean Rhinestones (I think she means diamonds!!)

Base coat: one coat Zoya Get Even
Color: two coats China Glaze Passion in the Pacific, two coats Lynnderella I Don't Mean Rhinestones
Top Coat: one coat Seche Vite
Application: Excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

Lynnderella I Don't Mean Rhinestones is such a gorgeous shade of teal/turquoise glitter. It's a shade of turquoise that I do not own in glitter polish and I definitely think I needed it. Now that I own it, I think my life was incomplete without it LOL! I Don't Mean Rhinestones is a mix of turquoise glitters, fine holographic glitters, and holo diamond-shaped glitter in a clear base. The holo diamond glitter is very cool, and again, unique!

Applying I Don't Mean Rhinestones was cake. I just applied it like a normal polish, no dabbing or fishing or special methods. This is two coats on top of China Glaze Passion in the Pacific. Passion in the Pacific REALLY matches the color of the glitter in I Don't Mean Rhinestones. If you're looking for a perfect matching base, this is it. Passion in the Pacific is still available at transdesign.com (in the China Glaze A-Z section), although it's marked as "available while supplies last".

Base coat: one coat Zoya Get Even
Color: two coats Zoya Sooki, two coats Lynnderella I Don't Mean Rhinestones
Top Coat: one coat Seche Vite
Application: Excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

My wild card base here was Zoya Sooki, a true red creme. I like red and turquoise together, so I had to give this a try. It didn't disappoint! The turquoise glitter really popped against the red background. I have to point out too that I Don't Mean Rhinestones is SO SPARKLY!!!! You know how some glitters are just not really shiny and sparkly? IDMR is NOT like that. It is super shiny and extra sparkly. Love it!

Again, this is two coats. The coverage is very good, I did thinner coats with this base because I wanted it to show through a bit more. You can definitely wear IDMR all by itself with two thick coats or three thinner ones.

Lynnderella I Don't Mean Rhinestones is available at her eBay store. Also, if you haven't seen the announcement, Lynnderella is releasing a new collection soon. It's called Early Halloween Resurrected and looks excellent, as usual. You can check out the announcement here and drool over the new pretties.

Lynnderella Common Sense Leaves Me Senseless

Base coat: one coat Zoya Get Even
Color: three coats OPI Pros & Bronze, two coats Lynnderella Common Sense
Top Coat: one coat Gelous
Application: Excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

Lynnderella Common Sense is one of the polishes from the Sweet Something for a Summer Solstice collection that I was looking forward to the most. It does not disappoint!! Common Sense is a mixture of copper and pink glitters of varying sizes in a clear base with copper and pink shimmer. I think it would look stunning over a wide variety of colors, but I tried it first over OPI Pros & Bronze. I loved this combination and got a billion compliments on it during the four days I wore this (it wore like iron btw!!).

Common Sense was super easy to apply too! No dabbing or anything, I just applied this normally. Two coats looks nice and dense. It was super easy to get the brush loaded up with glitter also, no fishing needed.

Base coat: one coat Zoya Get Even
Color: two coats Zoya Dea, two coats Lynnderella Common Sense
Top Coat: one coat Seche Vite
Application: Excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

It's always hard for me to pick a favorite base for Lynns. Zoya Dea is a ridiculously pretty base for Common Sense! It looks totally different than it does with Pros & Bronze and I really can't pick which I like better!! Zoya Dea, by the way, is a lovely milk chocolate creme that I just realized I have not ever swatched here. I will remedy this situation very soon, I promise.

Again, it was easy to apply Common Sense in regular brush strokes. The brush gets lots of glitter on it and all  of that glitter goes right on to the nail. The copper and pink really popped over Zoya Dea. I would also recommend trying Common Sense over purple, pink, black, and even orange. I'm sure I'll eventually try all of those!

Lynnderella Common Sense is available on her eBay store.

Back-up Worthy: Lynnderella When the Moon Was a Star!!

*Gasp* Is it weird that I took these pictures, and wore this mani for 5 days, and looking at it still make me drool all over the place?? I am going to require a second bottle of Lynnderella When the Moon Was a Star. I know this because using it makes my heart hurt a little bit. Like I'm afraid I'm going to use it all up in two uses. This was the most fascinating mani I've worn in ages, possibly ever. This is two coats of Lynnderella When the Moon Was a Star over two coats of Nicole by OPI If the Blue Fits.

The picture above is a bit blurry, but I wanted you to see that the moons and stars are holo!!! You can see this best on my ring finger. Some of the small glitter is holo too (look at my pinkie). It wasn't very difficult to get all of these moons and stars onto my nails either. I applied one coat normally. For the second coat, I fished the brush around until I got some stars or moons on there, then wiped them on to the neck of the bottle. From there, I picked them up again with the brush and applied them to my nail. The extra step of putting them on the neck of the bottle helped them come off easily on the nail.

You know I've been trying to show you two different base colors with these Lynnderellas, but the first look was so perfect I had a hard time figuring out what second base to show you. I ended up with two coats of Zoya Kristen, a pale blue gray creme. This base color makes the blue glitter really pop, but the moons and stars don't stand out as much.

This was two coats of When the Moon Was a Star over Kristen. It looks really beautiful of course, but I definitely like the darker base to make the moons and stars really shine!!

My Kind of Party: Lynnderella A Neutral Party

I have to hand it to Lynnderella. If anyone can get me excited about wearing a neutral, it's her. Lynnderella A Neutral Party is chock full of glitters in all of the neutral shades you can think of, like a neutral glitter bomb went off. The base of this polish is clear, but is packed with very fine gold shimmer. I spotted copper square glitter, gold square glitter, large copper and black hex glitter, small silver hex glitter, black bar glitter, and some small glitter pieces in gold and black. This is just a small sampling of the various neutral glitters in A Neutral Party.

For this first look, I dabbed two layers of A Neutral Party over two coats of OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons (my new favorite nude!). I did find that A Neutral Party is one of those glitters that applies best with the dabbing method, as opposed to regular long brush strokes to apply. As you can see, I had no trouble getting tons of glitter on my nails by dabbing the brush on them though!

For a more similar base color, I tried dabbing two layers of A Neutral Party over Nicole by OPI For Gold Times Sake. I loved this look too! This might be a really good way to wear secret glitter to the office. If I held my hand far away, the glitter blended in to the base color. My mom loved this one a lot and she doesn't really wear glitter at all, so that's saying something!!

I'm pretty excited to have a neutral glitter in my collection! I think it'll come in handy for those occasions when I'm dying to wear glitter, but maybe I don't want a bright color or anything too flashy. I always want to wear glitter, so having this option makes me happy.

Lynnderella polishes are available on her eBay store! If you're wondering how easy it is to obtain Lynnderellas these days, it's definitely gotten easier. Sets of her Sweet Somethings for a Summer Solstice are staying up for several hours, allowing a more leisurely eBay checkout. She's also been offering "You Pick 3" or "You Pick 6" sets, where you get to pick 3 or 6 polishes out of a bunch listed. If you're not looking for a whole collection, this might help you!

A Fun Summer Mani with Lynnderella Connect The Dots!

I'm still in my mode of desperately clinging to every last bit of the fading summer season, so I'm rocking neons on both my toes and fingers! I have been wanting to try Lynnderella Connect the Dots (the new version) over a neon, and decided to wear it over China Glaze Sunkissed. This is a FANTASTIC combo!! CtD looks perfect over yellow!!

This is three coats of China Glaze Sunkissed with two coats of Lynnderella Connect the Dots. It was super easy to get loads of glitter on to my nails with CtD. I got a couple of huge giant white squares and on my (not pictured) right hand, I managed to get two extra large black hex glitters too! I don't own the first version of Connect the Dots, but I hear this version has more dense glitter.

I'm super happy to finally own Connect the Dots and I'm loving wearing this mani right now. It's so happy and cheerful.

What are you wearing on your nails at the moment? Have you embraced the impending fall season? Or are you hanging on to summer?

Lynnderella polishes are available on her eBay store.

Yummy: Lynnderella Salad Days

A really awesome friend of mine sent me Lynnderella Salad Days from the Sweet Somethings for a Summer Solstice collection. Green "isn't her thing" (whhaaaaaaaat??), but I guess that's lucky for me! I feel lucky whenever I get to add to my Lynn collection. Salad Days is an incredible specimen. It really does look like a salad! There's lots of green glitter (lettuce and various other green veggies), but there's also red (I imagine they're radishes), purple (red onions, perhaps?), orange bar glitter (definitely carrots!!), and many more glittery treats.

For this first look, I did one coat of Lynnderella Salad Days over OPI Don't Talk Bach to Me, from the fall Germany collection. I LOVED this combo. The darker green really popped over the lighter color and you could see every single piece of glitter on the nail. I wore this for about four days until I had to take it off to swatch the rest of OPI Germany!

Now we come to the reason why it's taking me so long to swatch my new Lynnderellas. When I swatched Essie Mojito Madness the other day, I thought I'd just pop Salad Days on top for a quick picture, and then remove it to swatch other things. Well, once I saw how devastatingly gorgeous this looks on top of Mojito Madness, I had to immediately do the other six nails and wear it as a full mani for another 4 days. I can't remember the last time I wore the same polish back to back!! Granted, it looked different because it was over a different base, but it's still the same polish!

This is three coats of Lynnderella Salad Days over Essie Mojito Madness. Gorgeous! I love how the yellow glitter really pops with this base!

Aside from explaining why swatching Lynnderellas is taking me so long, this post also shows exactly why they are so much fun to own. Just by changing up what base you layer them over, you get a totally different look! Over the lighter yellow-green of OPI Don't Talk Bach to Me, I really noticed all of the different green glitters. Over a base color similar to the shade of the green glitter, I really notice the yellow, red, blue and purple glitters more.

I can't decide which Lynn to try next. Maybe When the Moon Was a Star??

Lynnderella polishes are available through her eBay store.
