OPI Gwen Stefani Review and Swatches

 *Sent for review*

It seems to me like I've been waiting FOREVER to swatch the OPI Gwen Stefani collection! I mean, I like Gwen Stefani OK, but what I was really excited for was the arrival of new Satins!! I love OPI's Satin finish and there are two new ones in the Gwen collection. I also was excited for Push and Shove, the chrome polish. I don't have Push and Shove today, but I am definitely going to get it and review it, so no worries. Let's start with the bright pink creme OPI Hey Baby. Hey Baby is a lovely fuchsia color, perfect for spring. It also had a very glossy finish even without top coat, although these swatches are with one coat of Nicole by OPI Quick Dry Top Coat.

Hey Baby was flawless to apply. It has that almost gel-feeling to it that makes application a dream. This is two coats and it's nicely pigmented as well.

I LOOOOOOVE this!!! OPI Love. Angel. Music. Baby. is a gold satin finish polish. If you loved OPI This Gown Needs a Crown and wanted a gold version, here is a winner for you. This is gold, but it's kind of a nice soft gold, not too in your face. It dries to such a lovely matte, yet shimmery finish. This was definitely worth all of the time I felt like I waited for these satins!

This is two coats of Love. Angel. Music. Baby. and the coverage and application were both great. I love the satin finish itself, but I also like how quickly they dry, kind of like mattes.

OPI I Sing In Color is a vampy purple-y red creme. This is another extra shiny creme, like Hey Baby. This is a nice non-shimmery option for vampy lovers, although if you have a large collection, you may have something kind of similar.

I Sing In Color was fairly easy to apply and opaque in two coats. It was a little thin, so just be careful it doesn't go running into your cuticles.

And here is my other precious love of this collection, OPI 4 In the Morning, a luscious black satin. This is so awesome, I love the satin finish in black. It reads more like a really deep charcoal because the shimmer lightens it up. Kind of reminds me of wet asphalt in the summer sun. The shimmer looks very complex and beautiful in person, I think you can best see it in the macro below.

This is two super easy coats of 4 In the Morning. Like the other satins I've tried, it practically applied itself, had great pigmentation, and dried quickly. I hope OPI continues to release more satin finish polishes!

Finally we have the glitter topper, OPI In True Stefani Fashion. This has small holo silver glitter and small holo silver squares in a clear base. I layered two coats of In True Stefani Fashion over 4 In the Morning for these pictures. This looks like stars in the night sky and despite the 4 billion or so silver glitter toppers I own, I love it. I am super mad about the cat hair in these pictures. I was unaware of it until just now while writing this post. Darn you Binx!

In True Stefani Fashion was OK to apply. I felt like the glitter could have been more dense. It was one of those polishes with a lot of base and not as much glitter. The squares kind of sink too, so you may have to fish around for them. This is two-ish dabbed coats. It's mostly one coat, but I had to go find some more squares after the first coat.

I think it's pretty obvious that the two satins, 4 In the Morning and Love. Angel. Music. Baby. are my favorites here. They are the most unique and are not only gorgeous, but easy to apply. That's a win all around! Which ones are calling your name here? Or are you just such a huge Gwen fan that you need them all?
