Over the last few weeks here in lovely New England, we've had two types of weather- "snowing" and "going to snow soon". It's been really dark and overcast and I don't typically bother to wear holo polish this time of year. It kind of gets wasted with the lack of sunshine. But yesterday, there were about 10 minutes where one tiny ray of sun peeked through the clouds and I decided to try out I Love Nail Polish Black Orchid. I got this awhile ago and have been dying to try it! Black Orchid is a vampy purple linear holo. It's definitely a linear holo, I could see the linear flame in person. The weak winter sun makes it look less holo in these pictures, but they give you a good idea of what this polish will look like when it's not in direct bright sunlight.
Black Orchid was pretty easy to apply. This is three coats, but it really should be a two coater. I didn't let the first coat dry all the way and got some bald patches. As long as you allow the first coat to dry, Black Orchid is even and opaque in two coats.

It's gorgeous Ananka! Darker holos are sometimes harder to find, this one is great!
