New Nicole by OPI Lacquers- the Neutrals

 *Sent for review*

Today I have swatches of the four neutral polishes Nicole by OPI added to it's line-up for 2014. The neutral trend is still going strong and these four polishes are great options for work appropriate polish and also base colors for more elaborate looks. Nicole by OPI Yoga Then Yogurt is a creamy white creme. It definitely reminds me of some delicious smooth Greek yogurt (mmmmm I want yogurt). This is a fantastic white polish, it's bright and clean, but I think it's a tad less stark then something like OPI Alpine Snow.

This is three coats of Yoga Then Yogurt. It was pretty opaque in two coats, but I needed a third to even out some streaks. This is pretty typical of white polish and the streaking was less of a problem with this polish than with many other white cremes. The formula was good, the slight streaking was the only problem. If you let the polish dry totally in between coats, that really isn't a problem either.

Nicole by OPI Sweet Surrender is a soft white sheer polish. I usually hate sheers, but I found myself strangely liking this one. It looks like a soft cloud on my nails, kinda pretty actually. This one isn't a stark white either, more of a soft eggshell white.

This is three coats, so Sweet Surrender is fairly buildable. It was a bit streaky as you can see, but I probably did not let it dry fully in between coats. Not following my own advice! One coat of this left just a soft wash on the nails that would work even in very strict work environments.

Nicole by OPI often releases nice taupe cremes and Taupe of My Class is no exception. This is a lovely gray brown creme, that mix of neutral colors that I always seem to love. It's probably not totally unique in my collection, but I can't help liking it anyway!

This is two coats of Taupe of My Class and the formula was great. Easy to apply, nice pigmentation, etc. This is a great pick for a neutral polish from the drugstore.

Nicole by OPI That's Putting It Mild is a pale buff nude creme. This is a great nude on my skin tone. This is another one I didn't think I'd like, but I admired it a lot when it was on! I should wear a nude polish soon. I always like them when I swatch them, but I almost never actually wear them for full manis.

This is three coats of That's Putting It Mild. You can see some streaks on my ring finger especially, but they weren't terrible. The formula was pretty good aside from light streaking. It's nicely opaque in three coats and that's always nice for a color this pale.

These four polishes make a nice addition to Nicole by OPI's main line. Nudes are going strong in the polish world, so it's always good to have options at the drugstore. Yoga Then Yogurt is going to make a great base for glitter!!

The 15 new Nicole by OPI nail lacquers are available now for $7.99 each at retailers including select Walmart, Target, CVS, Kmart, Kroger, ULTA, H-E-B, Meijer and Duane Reade locations. In Canada, these shades will be available for $10.99 each at Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart Canada, Jean Coutu, Loblaw, and London Drug.

None of these colors really speak to me, so my wallet is safe. But your swatches are lovely!

Thanks Abby! Neutrals aren't really my favorite thing to wear either, but I will definitely use Yoga Then Yogurt under glitter!
