OPI Germany Collection Swatches Part 1!!

It seems to me that a lot of nail polish fanatics especially love fall collections, and I'm no different. I adore a good vampy polish and fall is when the companies start rolling them out. OPI fall collections are always near and dear to my heart, and this year's offering is no exception. The OPI Germany collection may have not thrilled you in promo pictures, but I guarantee there is something for everyone here. Starting things off right, we have OPI Deutsche You Want Me Baby. This is a red-orange shimmer that manages to both be bright , but also feel like a fall color at the same time. There's a hint of rust in there that is responsible for the fall feel of this shimmery polish. In all of my many reds, I could not find a dupe for this.

The formula for all of these polishes was excellent. Deutsche You Want Me Baby was perfectly opaque in two coats, and applied like a dream. I love OPI's Pro-Wide brush myself and find it makes for great application once you are used to it. All of my swatches have a coat of Seche Vite, but Deutsche dried nice and shiny on it's own.

I didn't think I would go crazy for OPI Berlin There Done That, a gray taupe creme, but when I got it on my nails, I changed my story quickly. For some reason, this is a really perfect mix of taupe and gray. Most other polishes I have in this family are too gray or too brown, and most of them are actually too cool-toned for me to love. Berlin There Done That is a great taupe for warm-toned ladies, but I think it will flatter cool skin too. Just a really good neutral.

Great formula again, this was two coats. That's the other thing I loved about this. Sometimes I hate the formula of taupe cremes. They seem thick, don't apply smoothly or need three coats. I'll definitely be sporting this beauty.

OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons is another fabulous neutral that I didn't think I would go crazy over... and yet, here I am. I'm starting to think that someone should call the doctor. I like neutrals in a polish collection, what's going on?!? Don't Pretzel My Buttons is a smooooooooth like butter honey-beige creme. I like this because it's really clean looking. Definitely my new go to nude.

I found the formula of this to be exceptional. Many of my long time readers know that I don't play nicely with cremes, and pale cremes especially. This one basically painted itself onto my nails and only took two coats to be 100% opaque. And it's so SMOOOTH!!!!

OPI Danke-Shiny Red is perhaps not the most original color in this collection, but a shimmering ruby red is always stunning. I sometimes try to purge my red polishes, but I just fail. I just can't get rid of something this eye-catching and gorgeous! The shimmer in Danke-Shiny Red is really fine and pretty. It's noticeable, but very fluid and soft looking.

Danke was opaque in two coats, but I did a third for these swatches. I wanted to make sure my camera photographed it nicely for you! Lovely formula (again) and also dried quite shiny alone.

OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest is JAW-DROPPINGLY DELICIOUS. You need it. The End.

No really, this polish is like a deep blue-plum with TONS of reddish purple shimmer. Every blogger so far has described it as "glowing", so I went to Thesaurus.com and looked up "glowing" (because it really is glowing, I just wanted to use a different word), and I decided on SMOLDERING! That's a good word for this polish. It's a sassy smoldering blue plum.

I can't wait to wear this polish in the fall. So gorgeous!!! Anyway, great formula again, super application. This is two coats. When you apply the first coat, it's pretty neat looking, but it looks like a totally different color. So don't get scared, just do another coat.

I'm going to finish up this post with the polish I was most looking forward to from OPI Germany, OPI Don't Talk Bach To Me. I love me a weirdo yellow-green, and this weirdo yellow-green is super awesome because it's also shimmery!! I have really been looking forward to this and it totally lives up to the hype I created in my mind. Don't Talk Bach To Me is pretty unique. Other colors like it are more green and usually lack the tasty shimmer!

Excellent formula again, this is three coats, but it was pretty opaque in two. Formula-wise there wasn't a dud in these 6 polishes.

Overall, I knew I would love some of these. But I wasn't expecting to serious love all 6 of these!! I can't wait to try the other 6! If you'd like comparisons between any of these and other polishes, let me know in the comments. I am really enjoying OPI Germany so far (I didn't even get to all the other vampys yet! and think it's a fabulous fall collection.
