My first holiday mani of the season with Lynnderella Golden Rules!!

Base: one coat Zoya Get Even
Color: two coats Zoya Carrie Ann, two coats Lynnderella Golden Rules
Top: one coat Gelous, one coat NYC Grand Central Station
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

I wanted to kick off December with a really Christmas-y feeling mani, and I remembered that I hadn't posted Lynnderella Golden Rules yet. After some careful considering of several red base colors, I settled on Zoya Carrie Ann, a bright sparkly red with maybe a hint of pink undertones. I know that traditional Christmas colors are red and green, but I much prefer red and gold, or just gold and silver. Most of my decorations have gold in them somewhere, so this combination really felt nice and festive to me!

Look at the holo glitter in the blurry shot below!! Amazing!!! I originally passed on Golden Rules in my first order from the Sweet Somethings collection because I thought it would be close to Lynnderella Change. It's not at all close though! Golden Rules has tons of holo glitter pieces, as well as stars, diamonds, and other cool shapes. Change has large copper pieces, along with green glitter too. As a gold glitter fan, I really needed both! This one kind of dabbed coat and one wiped coat of Golden Rules. It was fairly easy to work with, but I find the larger pieces (like that giant holo square on my ring finger) needed some placement.

My new Lynnderellas came on Monday, so I'm sure you'll see some of those soon! I have a few non-Lynnderella holiday polishes to show you first though!

Lynnderella polishes are available on her eBay store.
