The Latest Lynnderella Goodies!

*Sent for review*

Lynnderella Fridays have gotten off track lately. It seems I always have something going on making me unable to post then, so I decided today to just post the most recent goodies for you even though it's Sunday 😉. The feeling of fall is starting to creep into the air here, and Lynnderella Fall Preview 2017 is the perfect polish to kick off the season. The rusty orange holographic base is speckled with purple flakes and has a pinky glow to it at certain angles. I love the combination of copper and violet, it's unique and really works well!

This is two easy coats of Fall Preview 2017. It was nicely opaque and the perfect consistency. I did use two layers of top coat for extra shine and smoothness.

Lynnderella Flakepourri is a gorgeous flakie-filled topper with a variety of color-shifting flakes and beautiful iridescent shimmer. This would be a fantastic topper over just about any color you can imagine. I used it over OPI Suzi Without a Paddle for these pictures. There are some teeny flakes in here, but also some really cool super large flakes that really catch the light.

This is just one coat of Flakepourri over the OPI, so you get a good amount of flakes with only one coat. It applied very well, great formula! I used regular brushstrokes and didn't have to do anything special to get the big flakes on the nails.

I also compared Flakepourri to Lynnderella Candy-Coated Unicorn. In this picture, I have one coat of Flakepourri over black on my middle and pinky nails, and one coat of Candy-Coated Unicorn over black on the other two. You can see the flakies are different and the shimmer is very different in these two flakie toppers. Both are gorgeous!

This polish is a very special one for me. I love to collect any egg-themed Lynnderellas and there was one similar to this posted for sale in the Lynnderella fan group on Facebook. I was admiring it, but was too late to the party and someone else purchased it. However, a mysterious and generous member of the group sent this to me shortly after!! The Lynnderella fan group is the best nail polish group I belong to and I so appreciate everyone there. If you would like to join, please message me and I will set up an invite. This gorgeous egg-themed mystery has assorted yellow glitters, white glitters and sparkly holo shimmer in a clear base.

This is one coat of the Egg mystery polish over OPI Is That a Spear in Your Pocket?. It was easy to apply and has a lovely consistency.

These and other gorgeous Lynnderella polishes are available now at http://stores.ebay.com/lynnderella-lynnderella, Amazon.com, and lynnderella.com.

Dr.'s Remedy Fresh Start Collection for Fall 2016!

*Sent for review*

Dr.'s Remedy has three lovely new cremes and I have swatches of them for you today! First up is Dr.'s Remedy AMITY Amethyst, a smoky purple creme. This is one of those purples that has a good amount of taupe-y-ness to it and feels like a neutral with an edge. It's more exciting than a standard neutral, but is still appropriate for a wide variety of situations and some work place environments as well. This is a great color year round, but I especially like it for the winter months. It makes me feel cozy!

This is two super easy coats. AMITY Amethyst is so pigmented, you could most likely do just one coat, depending on your application. It was perfectly self-leveling and has a great smooth formula. I used one coat of Dr.'s Remedy top coat, but it was shiny enough on it's own.

Dr.'s Remedy KINETIC Khaki is a taupe creme with hints of green and gray. This is pretty much my perfect taupe creme. It's in that mystery zone- is it gray? Is it greenish? It's a really great neutral with some interest.

This is also two coats and again, if you do thicker coats, you could possibly get away with one coat. Application was a breeze. I used Dr.'s Remedy top coat for that extra shine, but again, it was fairly shiny alone.

Lastly, we have a great shade for autumn and the coming holiday season, Dr.'s Remedy ALTRUISTIC Auburn. This rusty red creme reminds me of old tobacco barns here in CT. It's very warm and has both burnt orange and rust red tones. In person, I think it's a little more murky/dusty feeling than it comes across in these pictures. It has a more earthy feel.

Two easy coats again! These really have a great formula and are so pleasant to work with.

Dr.'s Remedy polishes are 5-free and contain a special blend of ingredients to promote nail health. They are available on http://www.remedynails.com.

Completing my Lynnderella Fall in Love with New York Collection!

*Lynnderella Flat Irony purchased by me, Nolita Lolita sent for review*

The Lynnderella Fall in Love with New York collection is definitely one of my favorite Lynnderella collections of all time. I recently got the only polish in the collection that I was missing (Nolita Lolita) and I have swatches of that and Lynnderella Flat Irony to show you today. Flat Irony is a rusty red microglitter with a kind of sheer black jellyish base. Lynnderella describes it as a "burnt red orange microglitter with a subtle blackened base". The sparkle in Flat Irony is gorgeous!! The orange-y red microglitter looks like glowing embers in the smoky black base. If the other microglitters in this collection hadn't already made me love microglitter, Flat Irony would!

This is three coats of Flat Irony with no undies. It was completely opaque in two coats, but I did a third to make sure my camera didn't cause any shenanigans. I would wear this at just two coats. I used one coat of Essie Good to Go on top and it felt smooth and glossy. The formula is probably the best of any microglitter I have tried. So easy to apply. Look at that glow!

Lynnderella Nolita Lolita was the one polish from this collection that I didn't want at first. Not that it wasn't pretty, but I just don't wear pink very much. After swatching it today, however, I immediately put it on as a full mani! This is such a pretty mix of pink glitters- pale pink satin glitters, bright pink matte glitter, metallic pink glitters, flower shapes, circles, etc.! The clear base also contains really beautiful pink shimmer that adds a lot to this glitter topper. You can see that shimmer best in the last photo taken in the shade.

This is one coat of Nolita Lolita over Nicole by OPI Something About Spring. Nolita Lolita was easy to apply with the dabbing method. It has lots of larger glitters and they were easy to get on the nail with dabbing. This is a really fun mani for the middle of January!

Both of the Lynnderellas are in the core collection, meaning they are available for purchase right now, no bidding/auctions etc. You can find these at lynnderella.com or lynnderella.storenvy.com. Nicole by OPI Modern Family Holiday Part 2!

 *Sent for review*

Today I have the other two shades in the Nicole by OPI Modern Family Holiday collection swatched for you. This gorgeous glowing rust shimmer is Nicole by OPI Who Red My Journal?. Who Red My Journal? has much more of an orange tone to it than we usually see in holiday collection reds. I am always a fan of orange, so this is a plus for me!

This is two coats of Who Red My Journal? and it was nicely pigmented. This one was a winner formula-wise too, very nice.

Finally, we have the real holiday sparkler, Nicole by OPI You're My Treasure. This is an excellent mix of gold glitter, some holo, some not, in diamonds, medium hexes, small hexes and small round shapes. The diamonds are all holo and I think the small hexes are too. Something is besides the diamonds, but there was too much rainbowing going on for me to clearly determine.

You're My Treasure applied really well for a polish this packed with glitter. This is about one and a half dabbed coats over Who Red My Journal?. The half was really just me filling in a few places I had missed. The glitters are came out of the bottle readily and I found it much easier to apply than Spark the Conversation (the silver square glitter from this collection).

You're My Treasure is my obvious favorite of this collection, followed closely by Spark the Conversation. I really like the other shades too and it's nice to see a holiday collection with some different colors.

Limited edition Modern Family Holiday nail lacquer will be available November 2013 for $7.99 each at select CVS locations nationwide. For more information, visit nicolebyopi.com. Follow Nicole by OPI on Twitter @NicoleByOPI and become a Facebook fan!

Zoya Satins Fall 2013, Part One!

Are you ready for swatches of three of the polishes from my current favorite Zoya collection?? The Zoya Satins are all so pretty!

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: two coats Zoya Channing
Top: one coat Essie Good to Go
Application: excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
The Zoya Satins collection was sent for review. All opinions are my own honest thoughts.

Zoya Channing is a GORGEOUS coppery rust metallic. It has a hint of pink in some lights that helps to make it more unique. Channing is a really glowy shade, it looks like it's burning in the sun! I love all copper polishes, and I honestly think this may be my new favorite copper. Some coppers can look too brown, but Channing is all glowing orange-y glory. Also, I don't know if there are any girls named Channing, so I immediately just think of Channing Tatum (drool).

I only needed two coats of Channing, it's very nicely pigmented. The formula is lovely, not too thick or thin, just perfect and easy to apply.

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: three coats Zoya Mason
Top: one coat Essie Good to Go
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
The Zoya Satins collection was sent for review. All opinions are my own honest thoughts.

Zoya Mason is a bright shimmering fuchsia. Zoya describes it as "an exciting red violet or "Fandango Pink" metallic". I don't know about "exciting", but Mason is really pretty! I googled Fandango Pink and it seems appropriate to describe Mason. "Fandango" was first used to describe this shade of fuchsia in 1925, by the way.

I used three coats of Mason for these photos. The formula was good, my only complaint was that it was slightly less pigmented than the likes of Channing and some of the other Satins.

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: one coat Zoya Maria Luisa over three coats Zoya Mason
Top: one coat Essie Good to Go
Application: excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
The Zoya Satins collection was sent for review. All opinions are my own honest thoughts.

Zoya Maria Luisa is a REALLY cool gold glitter topper. According to Zoya's description, it's gold cellophane and was originally designed for the Rafael Cennamo/AW13 show at Fashion Week.  Maria Luisa is really unique in my collection, and that's saying something because I have a ton of gold glitter toppers. The "glitter" in this is not regular glitter, it's very flat and smooth. It's also irregularly shaped, more like flakies than glitter. I will be using this over everything!!

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: one coat Zoya Maria Luisa over two coats Zoya Louise
Top: one coat KnockOut Cosmetics Flatte Top
Application: excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
The Zoya Satins collection was sent for review. All opinions are my own honest thoughts.

I had to try Maria Luisa over the deep brown from the Zoya Cashmeres, Zoya Louise. I also was dying to trying it with a matte top coat! My pictures do not do this combo justice!! I couldn't get good pictures in the sun because Maria Luisa is so reflective. My nails just looked like a shimmery blur. But these pictures in low light aren't great either. If you like gold glitters or flakies, you should definitely get this one!

The Zoya Satins are available now at Zoya.com.

Lynnderella Glass Houses!!!!! Pic Heavy!

I finally got my hands on some of the new Lynnderellas, and I am SO excited to start showing you the pretties!!! Lynnderella's Sweet Something for a Summer Solstice collection really proved to me that she keeps getting better and better at producing drool-worthy polishes. I picked up 8 of the new polishes and also managed to snag a few old collection goodies ANDDDDDDD Billet Doux!! This also proved to me that Lynnderella polishes make me ridiculously happy. You should have seen me opening that box! Today's post is all about the lovely Glass Houses, from the SSSS collection.

Glass Houses is a unique and scrumptious mix of rust-colored glitters in a clear base, with Lynn's usual smattering of other unexpected colors. There are some blue and violet pieces in the mix as well! To be honest, I wasn't expecting to love Glass Houses nearly as much as I do! It's just really gorgeous!!

With these new Lynnderellas that I was so lucky to get my hands on, I am going to try to show you at least two different layering options in every post. This may take awhile, since I end up wanting to wear every Lynnderella combo I every put on, but I think it helps give a better idea of the versatility of the polish. For example, the pictures above all featured two coats of Lynnderella Glass Houses over two coats of Essie Bikini So Teeny. For a totally different look, the pictures below are two coats of Lynnderella Glass Houses over two coats of Zoya Mira!

You can see that Glass Houses looks so different over purple! The purple really emphasizes the blue glitter pieces. I love both of these combinations so much. I wore both as full manis, by the way, and am happy to report that Glass Houses wore like IRON!

The other new collection polishes I got are: Common Sense, Garden of Even, I Don't Mean Rhinestones, When The Moon Was A Star, Deep Blue Seeing, A Neutral Party, and Connect The Dots (finally!). Let me know if you are desperate to see one of these, and I will post it next. Also tell me if you're dying to see one of these layered over a specific color!

Lynnderella polishes are only available online at her eBay store. I hear rumors that small groupings of polish and single polishes will be posted in mid to late August!
