Lumina Lacquer The Dear Little Shamrock

*Purchased by me*

Today I have the second of two St. Patrick's Day Lumina Lacquer polishes, Lumina Lacquer The Dear Little Shamrock. You can check out my swatches of the other one, Luck O' The Irish, here. The Dear Little Shamrock is a mix of holo green, green and holo yellow-green glitters in various shapes and sizes, including cute little green stars and of course, clovers! It also comes with a bag of extra clovers. I really love the use of the yellow-green glitters here, it makes this different from the myriad of other green glitter polishes I own. You can see a couple of nice examples of this yellow-green glitter in the macro shot below, like that big yellow-green hex at the top left-ish. It seems that a hungry bunny took a bite out of the clover on that nail, but I think that is a random fluke, none of the other clovers I found were missing any leaves!

The Dear Little Shamrock was easy to apply. This is two dabbed coats over Zoya Piaf. The coverage was excellent with just one coat, but I like a LOT of glitter, so I dabbed a little extra on. I do love how Luminas contain SO much glitter, but never feel thick or chunky.

Some people have been wondering how The Dear Little Shamrock and Luck O' The Irish compare to each other, so I have some comparison shots. First, the bottles- Luck O' The Irish on the left, The Dear Little Shamrock on the right. You can see right away that The Dear Little Shamrock has much more of a yellow-green cast to it. Luck O' The Irish also contains a lot more circle glitter and larger glitter pieces overall.

Here they are on the nail, both over Zoya Piaf, left to right: Luck, Dear, Luck, Dear. The circle glitters are very prominent in Luck and they're definitely what you notice right away. Dear has smaller glitter, therefore more dense coverage as well.

For me personally, these two are very different and it's worth owning both. If you are only planning on wearing these once a year on St. Patrick's Day, one would suffice. If you are loving the big holo circle glitter trend, get Luck O' The Irish. Love smaller, dense glitter and yellow-green? The Dear Little Shamrock is for you.

I believe there is a restock of both of these beauties coming up, so check Lumina Lacquer's Facebook page for information.

In other news, we had two snowstorms this week, one on Monday and one on Wednesday. We got around 7 inches in EACH storm, so there is a lot of snow chillin around here. I know someone has been enjoying it though!

Yes, Binx has been out walking on his leash! He is getting so good with it too. He sits patiently while I put the walking jacket on and just trots around outside for a few minutes, smelling everything and watching birds.

Lumina Lacquer Luck O' The Irish

*Purchased by me*

It's that time of year already!!! St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner! As an Irish dancer, I start performing in St. Patrick's Day events in mid-February, so it might seem far off to you, but it's quite soon for me. I am super excited about my St. Patrick's Day nail options this year because Lumina Lacquer released not one, but two St. Patrick's Day polishes during her last restock. Naturally I bought both. Today's mani is Lumina Lacquer Luck O' The Irish over Nicole by OPI I Shop Mintage. Luck O' The Irish has green, holo gold, and holo green glitter pieces including my beloved circle glitter and SHAMROCK GLITTER!! It even comes with an extra bag of the clover glitters, although I didn't need that for this mani. That clover you see came right out during application.

This was easy to apply with the dabbing method. This is basically one dabbed coat, but I added an extra few glitters on my middle nail around the clover. I love the formula of Luminas. Although they are crammed full of glitter, they never feel thick or chunky.

Tatiana will be restocking this, along with her Valentine's day "Mixed Tape" collection, but I am not sure when the restock will take place. Like the Lumina Lacquer page on Facebook or follow her on Instagram for the latest restock info.

Deck the Halls with Two Gorgeous Holiday Lumina Lacquers

 *Purchased by me*

The indie polish makers have been killing me lately with their holiday offerings, Lumina Lacquer in particular. I have two of this year's holiday Lumina Lacquers to show you, and I really wish I could have purchased about 4 more! First up is Lumina Lacquer Lights, Christmas, Action. Lights, Christmas, Action is a mix of many different colored round glitters in several sizes and holo green Christmas tree glitter, all in a clear shimmered base. I have been dying for one of these round glitter polishes, they are so cool! The mix of colors in this polish remind me exactly of ornaments on a tree.

I wanted all the different color glitters to pop, so I layered this over two coats of OPI Alpine Snow. It was easiest to load up the brush with glitter, then wipe most of it off onto the neck of the bottle and take it right from the bottle neck to your nail. Tatiana recommends dabbing her polishes on and I normally find that to be the best method, but I think the base of this one is a little thick for dabbing. I just kept applying glitter until I was satisfied, so this isn't really a particular number of coats. Lights, Christmas, Action comes with a bag of extra Christmas tree glitter so you don't have to fish for them if you don't want to!

Lumina Lacquer The Snow King is quite possibly my favorite winter-themed polish EVER. Now, I think I might be a little biased because it just happens to contain my favorite color combination, purple and gold, a lot of the glitter is holo (we all know I love that) AND it has my new favorite circle glitter. There are a couple different shades of purple in here, along with gold and silver. There are also holo silver snowflakes and snowmen! You get an extra bag of glitter with this polish too, with a ton of snowmen and snowflakes. Without the snowflakes and snowmen, I would and will wear this polish year round. I also like that it's an alternative to red and green that still looks really festive.

I decided to layer one dabbed coat of The Snow King over two coats of my new favorite purple creme, Zoya Odette. The Snow King was easier to apply than Lights, Christmas, Action. I had no trouble dabbing it on and getting plenty of glitter on the brush.

Lumina Lacquer's store is supposed to be restocked today! I don't know what time, but I would keep an eye out on Lumina Lacquer's Facebook and Big Cartel store for details. I usually find out restock times on Instagram, so you can follow @luminalacquer there.

Happy Halloween!!

*some products sent for review, please see end of post*

Happy Halloween!!! Halloween is my favorite holiday, I absolutely love everything about it. I usually wear Halloween manis for the entire month of October, but with my dad being in the hospital I got so off track this year. I'll be wearing Halloween polish well into November, haha. But I have a few recent Halloween manis for you, starting with Lumina Lacquer Peculiar Pumpkin Posse. This is an all holo glitter topper of holo orange and black hexes, black holo dots, holo black diamonds, and orange and black holo pumpkins. Everything in this polish is holo!! It also comes with an extra bag of the orange and black pumpkins.

Like all Lumina Lacquers, Peculiar Pumpkin Posse is best applied by dabbing. This is one dabbed coat with a few places filled in a second time, over OPI A Roll in the Hague. I took the two pumpkins from the extra bag of pumpkins, rather than fishing them out of the polish itself. There are plenty of them in the extra bag, so I figured it was easier and faster. I love the way the orange pumpkin is glowing in the picture below.

Next up we have Lynnderella Bed of Nails. This is a unique mix of white glitter in various shapes and sizes (including skulls!), purple, green, black, pink, and orange glitters in a clear base. Orange, purple, green and black really scream Halloween for me, so this is perfect. And I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw skull glitter in a core Lynnderella polish, I had a huge freak out moment!

This is two dabbed coats of Bed of Nails over OPI Did It On 'Em and China Glaze Grape Pop. I had a little bit of trouble getting the glitter out at first, which is really unusual for a Lynn polish. I turned the bottle upside down for a few minutes and that definitely helped a lot.

Finally we have Lynnderella Devil in a Black Tie over a random black Color Club mini and Zoya Livingston. Devil in a Black Tie has black and red glitters in a crazy holo sparkled base. I couldn't capture the holo sparkle, but it was similar to the fine holo glitter in Lynnderella VamPink!. I guess I just didn't have the right light today.

This is one coat of Devil in a Black Tie. It was easy to apply, no fishing involved.

*some products sent for review, please see end of post*

What are your plans for tonight? I will be dressing up, probably as a witch or something, and handing out candy while watching Hocus Pocus with Binx. I mean, it is Halloween, I have to hang out with my black cat!

Lynnderella polishes are available on Lynnderella.com. Lumina Lacquer Peculiar Pumpkin Posse is Limited Edition, but you might still be able to grab a bottle at the Lumina Lacquer Big Cartel store.

*OPI and Zoya polishes in this post were sent for review. All others were purchased by me*

Happy Halloween Month! Lumina Lacquer Mick or Treat + Giveaway!!

Happy October everyone! It's Halloween month and I am so ready to start sporting some Halloween manis, so I thought I'd kick the month off with one of the BEST Halloween glitterbombs I have ever seen. Lumina Lacquer Mick or Treat not only has silver holo MICKEY glitter, but it also has orange and black pumpkin glitter!! Mix those with orange, red and black glitters, red stars and holo silver moons, and you have one amazing polish. If the amount of glitter in the polish isn't enough for you, Tatiana also includes a bag full of extra glitter and mine was chock full of Mickeys and pumpkins.

 *Purchased by me*

This is essentially one coat of Mick or Treat over black, but I did get the Mickey and the pumpkin from the bag, not from the bottle of polish. I saw a ton of Mickeys in the bottle, but I figured it was easier to take one from the bag instead of waiting for one to get on my brush. Lumina Lacquers always have a great formula. They are shockingly easy to apply, considering the amount of glitter they contain. Tatiana recommends the dabbing method for application (as do I), it really work better with glitter-heavy polish.

Lots of these glitters are holo, not just the Mickey! So pretty!

Now unfortunately, Mick or Treat is limited edition, and is currently on it's last restock. BUT, I have a bottle (complete with extra bag of glitter) for one lucky Never Enough Nails reader!!! Entries are only open to residents of the U.S. this time, but I will have a different international giveaway soon.

From the Untrieds Drawer- Lumina Lacquer Discotheque

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: two coats Nicole by OPI Orange Neon, two coats Lumina Lacquer Discotheque, one coat Nicole by OPI Orange Neon (ring finger shown without last coat of neon)
Top: one coat Essie Good to Go
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
Lumina Lacquer Discotheque was purchased by me, Nicole by OPI Orange Neon was sent for review. All opinions are my own honest thoughts.

I have no clue why this amazing LE Lumina Lacquer Discotheque was in my untrieds drawer. I am a bad bad polish blogger. Discotheque is full of too many awesome glitters for me to name them all, but some highlights include gold holo stars, red stars, gold holo squares, large pink holo round glitters, and red diamonds. I wanted to sandwich this with Nicole by OPI Orange Neon, since I've been thinking that those neons would make great sandwiches!! I did the sandwich on three nails, but left my ring finger without the last coat of the Orange Neon so you could see how crazy sparkly Discotheque is.

Discotheque is definitely a prime candidate for the dabbing method of application. With so many large shaped glitters in there, regular application is not really possible. I like to load up the brush and dab on some glitter, then spread it around the nail using the brush. As long as you know about the dabbing method, application is pretty good. This is two dabbed coats.

Discotheque is LE and I don't know when/if Lumina Lacquer will restock it. Luckily, she releases awesome LEs pretty frequently, so if you can't get this one, you may find another to fall in love with! Check the Lumina Lacquer Facebook page for news and updates.

Lumina Lacquer Mint Chocolate Chip

Base: one coat CND Stickey
Color: two coats Zoya Jacqueline topped with two coats Lumina Lacquer Mint Chocolate Chip. Accent nail- two coats of Zoya Dea with two coats Lumina Lacquer Mint Chocolate Chip
Top: one coat Poshe
Application: good (out of poor, average, good, excellent)

I blame Tatiana from Lumina Lacquer for the carton of mint chocolate chip ice cream in my freezer right now. We all know I'm in a mint phase right now, and mint chocolate chip is actually my favorite ice cream flavor anyway, so when I saw Lumina Lacquer Mint Chocolate Chip, I knew I needed it! I can't resist a polish with MINT GLITTER HEARTS!!!! Tatiana describes Mint Chocolate Chip as "a mixture of different shapes (hearts, flowers, hexes, and circle glitter) in mint, baby blue, white, and brown glitters". Happily for me, I got a lot of those cool shapes on my first try! I got a mint heart (swoon) on my ring finger, a couple of baby blue flowers (you can see one on my pointer), several hexes, some white satin stars and many other beautiful glitters. She doesn't mention this in the description, but there is a gorgeous sprinkling of iridescent glitter in this that really catches the light in person.

I wanted to show this over both a creamy color and also a chocolate brown, so I went with a chocolate brown accent nail. I think the mint glitters really pop on the chocolate brown (Zoya Dea) and the effect on the creamy color is so soft and pretty. Despite being chock full of shaped glitters, Mint Chocolate Chip was easy to apply when dabbed on. Tatiana recommends dabbing with all of her polishes, as I do with any glitter-heavy lacquers. I dabbed on one coat for coverage and then went back and added some more fun shapes in the second layer. The shapes are plentiful and are not at all hard to get out of the bottle (one of the many things I love about Lumina Lacquer polishes!). Also, I almost never comment on the wear time of polishes, since almost nothing lasts more than 3 days on me, but I wore this mani for more than 4 days with no chipping and maybe a hint of tip wear.

Mint Chocolate Chip is currently out of stock, but I'm sure she will restock soon. I suggest liking Lumina Lacquer on Facebook to stay updated on the latest news! Lumina Lacquer is available on Tatiana's Big Cartel store. I will have to order 1000 Julys whenever she restocks, it is GORGEOUS!!

Speaking of gorgeous, check out these adorable pansies my mom bought to plant. They have extra large faces, and they are so cute!! Happy spring!

Lumina Lacquer Grape Granita

Base: one coat Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Color: two coats Lumina Lacquer Grape Granita over two coats NARS Purple Rain
Top: one coat Poshe
Application: excellent (out of poor, average, good, excellent)
Lumina Lacquer Grape Granite was sent for review. NARS Purple Rain was purchased by me. All opinions are my own honest thoughts.

When I first saw Lumina Lacquer Grape Granita in the bottle, I knew it would become an instant favorite of mine. Purple, pink and white glitters, with pale pink, purple, red and many other color hearts, stars and flowers, all in a clear base, Grape Granita seems like it was made for me! I love shaped glitter, if you can't tell already, and purple is my favorite color, so WIN! Like Lumina Lacquer Deep Inside of You, the shaped glitters are very plentiful and come out of the bottle very willingly. As you can see in the shot below, I got two flowers and a star all on one nail, and that was the rule for this polish, not the exception!

I dabbed two coats of Grape Granita over NARS Purple Rain. When dabbed on, this polish was super easy to apply. The glitter is very plentiful and the base is thick enough to suspend it all, but not so thick that it's hard to work with. The larger pieces seemed to lay pretty flat too. I used one coat of Poshe, but you may want a coat of Gelous to smooth it out perfectly. I can't wait to show you the next two Lumina Lacquers I ordered too!!

Lumina Lacquer Grape Granita is sold out on Lumina Lacquer's Big Cartel store right now, but check out the Lumina Lacquer Facebook page to hear the latest restock news!
