Zoya Party Girls Winter/Holiday Swatches, Part 2!

*Sent for review*

Today I have the second half of the lovely Zoya Party Girls collection. Like the first half, these colors are great year round, they are not really holiday specific. So if you didn't order these before the holidays and are regretting it now, no worries, you can wear these any time! For example, Zoya Kelsey is a great Barbie fuchsia creme that is perfect now, great for spring, and works well in the summer. Zoya describes this as a "muted cerise pink". It's not that muted really, but it's not super bright either. Kelsey will look lovely on all sorts of skin tones.

This is two easy coats and the formula is great. This is a pretty standard pink color, but if you're looking for one with great application, you can't go wrong here.

Zoya Danielle is a very interesting shade of blue, more unique than I was expecting. Danielle is a dark periwinkle and has lots of purple and gray mixed in with the blue. While it has a lot of purple-y tones, it still manages to be mostly blue and not what I would call a "blurple" (remember when that term was being thrown around constantly?). Love that Zoya took periwinkle and made it into a darker, moodier shade!

Two perfect coats, no fuss here! I also had no staining when I removed this, although I only had it on for a short time to swatch.

Zoya Isadora is a jewel-toned wine purple shimmer with hints of magenta. It is described as "rich, refined pearl in magenta plum". The shimmer is a really smooth glowy kind, very soft and not chunky. This is nice and vampy, but not so dark that it looks black. The magenta in the base color really helps the shade not get too murky looking.

This is two coats. I thought the consistency was a bit on the thin side. Be careful not to load up your brush too much, or it will flood your cuticles.

Zoya Landon is a rich purple creme, described as a "mysterious, deep aubergine cream". It's not too deep though, so it still provides a nice pop of color. It's pretty well balanced between red and blue based, so it will be flattering for a variety of skin tones.

Two coats, nice pigmentation. Zoya's creme formula is so consistent lately, they just have really perfected it over the years.

I wrote in my notes that Zoya Delaney reminds me of spring irises and it really fits. It's that exact shade of purple iris flowers. Depending on the light and the angle of your nails, you will also see flashes of blue, green, and some silver. Zoya calls this one a "royal multichromatic (pewter, blue, purple, green), metallic flip". The multichrome effect isn't overly strong, but it's there for sure and quite pretty. Almost like a soft multichrome.

Delaney was a bit sheer on the first coat, but started to build up nicely after the second. I did use three thin coats here for the best coverage. The formula is easy to apply, but you may see a brushstroke here and there.

Ahhhhh man, Zoya Blake is my spirit color right now. Blake is the color you wear when the holidays are over and the dark gross month of January has begun (I hate January, can you tell?). It's dark and moody, but has a gorgeous shimmer that lifts your mood a little. Blake is a deep navy sapphire with a smooth light golden shimmer. Love this one so much!

This is two coats. Application was very easy, no complaints here at all!

My favorites from this half of the Party Girls collection are Blake and Danielle. Overall, I think this collection was very well curated and the shades are lovely for parties, but also for daily life throughout the year. This makes the Party Girls collection a very solid buy for your polish wardrobe. Check out my swatches of the first half of the collection here.

The Zoya Party Girls collection is available now at Zoya.com.

Snowflake Mani with Vapid and Sally Hansen!

Happy Monday! There is some snow expected here tomorrow/Wednesday, so I thought it was time for a snowflake mani. I picked up a Vapid Lacquer Winter Midnight one-off in the Purge sale. A one-off just means that something about the polish is slightly off from the formula. I can't really tell what is different between my one-off and regular Winter Midnight, maybe it's a little lighter or has fewer of the white shimmer flakes? Whatever the difference is, it's beautiful!

I used What's Up Nails snowflake vinyls for this and sponged on some Sally Hansen Insta Dri Silver Sweep. I also used Vapid Catsuit latex to make clean up easier and prevent getting the silver polish on my skin. Kinda hoping my snowflake nails bring me a snow day tomorrow 😉!

I believe Krys from Vapid has said that Winter Midnight will be available again. Check out http://vapid.mybigcommerce.com and keep an eye on the Vapid Facebook page for restock info.

Zoya Party Girls Winter/Holiday Swatches Part 1!

*Sent for review*

This is probably the latest I have ever been with swatching a holiday collection and I feel terrible about it! The weather was so cold here in December, I couldn't bring myself to go outside and take nail pictures. I finally caved and got a light box, so that will not be an issue anymore. The good news is that these Zoya Party Girls polishes will be perfect year round, they are not too season specific. First up is Zoya Nadia, described as "a buildable, sparkling, gingery gold metallic "disco" topper". Zoya says you can wear this alone or layer over other colors. I tried it alone and think it's lovely. I will definitely try it layered for the next post too, I didn't even think to do that when I was swatching these. Nadia is a really buttery copper color, like the perfect balance between gold and copper.

This is three thin coats. It was sheer on the first coat, which makes sense if they wanted you to be able to layer it as well, but built up to full opacity in three coats. The consistency was on the thinner side, so don't load your brush up with too much polish or you'll flood your cuticles. I also found Nadia to be unusually slow to dry in between coats. You can't apply a second coat too quickly or you will disturb the first one. Love the color, just be aware that it's not the most effortless formula.

Zoya Solstice is a gorgeous red-orange with a healthy dose of golden shimmer. It's very bright and cheery. Both the color and the name would work just as well in a summer collection as they do in a holiday collection. If you're already sick of winter like I am, pop on Solstice and pretend you're on a tropical vacation.

This is two easy coats. The first coat had lovely pigmentation, so if you do thicker coats than me, you may be able to get away with one. Great formula on this one.

Zoya Tawny is a sparkling copper with some rosy red tones that make it unique from the 8 billion other coppers I own. I love copper polish and this one is my new favorite. There are gold sparkles that contrast with the deep copper and add that "glowing" look.

This is two easy coats. Nice formula and really no complaints.

Next up we have Zoya Ming. Now, I thought there was already a Zoya Ming? But I Googled and don't see one, so maybe that was my imagination. Ming is a scarlet red creme, a nice true red. This is sort of a squishy creme. I wouldn't call it a jelly really, but it's definitely a little more transparent than a creme.

This is two coats. It was easy to apply and has a great consistency.

The finish of Zoya Fallon is SO beautiful, just so glowy and smooth! Zoya calls this formula a "refined pearl", it's like the smoothest looking shimmer I've ever seen. It absolutely lights up the polish on your nails. Fallon is a violet magenta and has a nice mix of red and blue tones. Despite not being a huge pink polish fan, I can't wait to wear this!

This is two coats again and it was easy to apply. I did feel like it was slow to dry in between coats, like Nadia. It's not really an issue, just as long as you don't try to apply the second coat too soon after the first.

Zoya Sheri is a deep garnet red creme. Like Ming, it's a little on the squishy side, not a true creme. It has more pink tones than Ming and is a lot darker too. Sheri will be great for any Valentine's Day nail looks you have in mind.

Two coats again, great formula. No problems with application.

If I had to play favorites with these six, I think Fallon and Tawny are my top two. But overall, I think these are all gorgeous and perfect for winter and beyond. These six are available in a set at zoya.com, as well as individually. I'm looking forward to swatching the second half of this collection, so stay tuned for that!
