Lynnderella Spring Things Swatches, Part 1!

 *Sent for review*

Well my hand is starting to feel a bit better, so I finally have a new post for you today! Now that the weather is warming up, I've been wearing some of Lynnderella's spring polishes and they are gorgeous! Lynnderella Are Those Eggs Holo? has rich grass green glitter with green holo glitter and larger pastel and bright glitter accents. Some of the larger accent glitters are my favorite circle glitters, so you know I love that! Some of the circles are also holo, while some are matte or metallic finish. It's a really nice mix of glitters and I am always a sucker for a nice green Lynnderella. This is part of the Lynnderella Spring Things core collection, so it's readily available for purchase, no bidding required.

This is three coats of Are Those Eggs Holo? all by itself with no base. The coverage is great and you could probably do two coats if you do slightly thicker coats. I found this to be easy to apply with the dabbing method. I used one coat of Essie Good to Go on top and it was smooth to the touch.

Lynnderella Blossom Was So Peachy! is another core collection polish from the Spring Things collection. It features peach, pink, red-coral, white and lavender glitters with some iridescent blue glitters in a milky shimmery base. The blue iridescent glitters add a lot to this polish in person, but they're so hard to capture on camera, ugh! I love the mix of hearts, flowers, red circles and pretty lavender diamond glitters, it's really spring-y looking!

This is one easy coat of Blossom Was So Peachy! over OPI Suzi Shops & Island Hops. Blossom Was So Peachy! was easy to apply. I did push some of the larger glitters around a bit to spread them out a bit, as I got a ton of them all in one spot on my ring finger! That's what I love about glitter polishes though, the fact that each one of your nails ends up with a different selection of glitters!

 *Purchased by me*

OK, as much as I hate to show you a polish you can't have, I HAD to show you this Lynnderella stunner. This is a Lynnderella "mystery" polish, meaning that it was kind of an early version or experiment that led to a Limited or Special Edition Lynnderella. Mystery Lynnderellas are one of a kind, but may only be a little different from the final version of the polish that was actually released. I am not sure what polish this was the pre-cursor for, but I know that I am 100% in love with it!! This unnamed mystery polish is a mix of all sorts of pastel and bright glitters in a clear-base with lots of fine pink shimmer. There are a lot of tiny multi-colored glitters in this one, aside from all of the large glitters, and that mix really makes this polish pop!

This is one coat of my mystery polish over China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer. It applied really easily, no dabbing required. You can't really see the awesome pink shimmer in this, but in person it's gorgeous! While you can't own this particular mystery polish, if you like Love Lynnderella on Facebook, there are sometimes mystery polishes offered for sale there, so you can have your own one of a kind Lynnderella experiment!

These are a just a few of the great offerings Lynnderella has for spring 2015! I have a bunch more to show you soon, so stay tuned! In the meantime, you can grab Are Those Eggs Holo? and Blossom Was So Peachy!, along with other Lynnderellas, at lynnderella.com and lynnderella.storenvy.com. Smitten Polish Radiant Orchid

 *Purchased by me*

I have a large collection of indies that are a year old or more that I haven't gotten around to swatching. I am determined to start getting through some of them because they are really pretty!! Some may not be available from the maker anymore, but there are always blog sales and such.  Smitten Polish Radiant Orchid is one such beauty. This is a gorgeous purple-y pink linear holo, in honor of the 2014 color of the year, Radiant Orchid. The linear holo flame is very strong in this polish. This is a tad darker and more purple in person, I think the rainbows confused my camera a bit!

This is two coats of Radiant Orchid and the opacity is perfect. The formula is great and super easy to apply.

Smitten Polish Radiant Orchid is still available at smittenpolish.bigcartel.com!

OPI SoftShades 2015 Swatches Part 2!

*Sent for review*

Alright lovelies, I have the three remaining OPI SoftShades lacquers for you today. I have to type one-handed, so commentary will be light. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have! First up is OPI Chiffon My Mind, a beautiful soft white shimmer. The shimmer in this is a really pretty iridescent blue-pink that was hard to capture in pictures. The shimmer sets this apart from other white polishes I own.

This is three coats of Chiffon My Mind and I am happy with the opacity. It's a teeny bit streaky, but not bad at all for a white polish.

OPI Put It In Neutral is a pink-toned beige jelly. It's definitely a neutral, nude pink, not a candy pink.

This is three coats. Being a jelly, there is still some VNL, but I think that is to be expected. The coverage is nice and even, no streaks. I think I got some of my nail oil on it, so excuse the cloudy looking spots.

OPI Petal Soft is a mix of soft pink and white glitters in a clear base. The stars of the show here are the large white flower glitters, very cute!

This is one dabbed coat of Petal Soft. It was pretty easy to apply, but I did have to fish for the flower glitters, they tend to sink toward the bottom.

If you're looking for pretty soft neutrals and jellies this spring, you can't go wrong with the OPI SoftShades collection, available now at Ulta, Ulta.com and fine salons.

Ow!

Hi lovelies, I just wanted to let you know that I fractured a bone in my right hand. This is making polishing and blogging very hard and time consuming, hence why I have yet to post the rest of the pretty OPI SoftShades. I actually swatched and photographed them, but cropping the pics and typing is so slow. I will have those up this weekend, but it may be kinda slow around here for a bit!

OPI SoftShades Spring 2015 Swatches, Part 1!

*Sent for review*

After having really nice bright sunshine and temps close to 70 a few days ago, today is chillier and a little bit cloudy. It's just the kind of spring weather that makes me think of soft blushes and beige hues, rather than brights or candy pastels. For this kind of weather, I tried out three of the new OPI SoftShades lacquers! This soft palest silver shimmer is OPI This Silver's Mine. This is a very understated looking silver, not chrome-y or loud at all. It actually almost has some slight pink/blush tones to it. The finish is more pearlescent, not like a chrome or metallic.

This is three coats of This Silver's Mine. It was a little sheer after one coat, so I did think I needed three for full opacity. It looks very brushstroke-y here, but I think it was less obvious in person. If you despise visible brushstrokes though, it might not work for you.

OPI Act Your Beige! is a sheer white beige with pink undertones. It is a very pale buff color, but it's soft looking, not stark. And I am just now seeing the lovely black cat fur on my pinky nail, ugh! Sorry, Binx is shedding like crazy right now.

This is three coats of Act Your Beige!. I did a thin first coat and it was nearly clear, so my second two coats were a bit thicker. The application was pretty good, it's fairly even for such a pale sheer color. There is a bit of streaking on my ring finger, but otherwise very good! I let each coat dry before applying the next. The consistency of this polish is perfect, not too thick, nor too thin.

This pretty concoction is OPI Make Light of the Situation over OPI Act Your Beige!. Make Light of the Situation is a mix of soft iridescent glitter in a shimmery base. It can be worn alone for a soft sheer sparkly look, or over just about any polish. This look was very pretty in person! The iridescent glitters are several different sizes and they are nicely rainbow-y.

This is just one coat of Make Light of the Situation and it was extremely easy to apply. This is a great topper for any pale sheers in this collection or any you might own already. I think it would also look really pretty over pale spring pastels too. I will definitely try that and post pictures when I do!

I will have the remaining three SoftShades up on Sunday for you! The OPI SoftShades 2015 lacquers are available now at Ulta, Ulta.com and professional salons.

Lynnderella Greener Than You Pink! and Princess Sweet Pea Swatches!

 *Sent for review*

Continuing with my theme of "polishes that look great in the sunshine", I have two holographic microglitter Lynnderella pretties for you today! First up is Lynnderella Greener Than You Pink!, a holo blue-green microglitter with lots of gorgeous pink shimmer and larger accent glitters. This teal green microglitter is really nicely holographic, it's so sparkly and rainbow-y in the sun! The pink shimmer is strong enough that occasionally you get a big flash of it, almost duochrome-like. There are larger green and pink metallic glitters too that peek out of the microglitter.

Greener Than You Pink! was super easy to apply. This is three thin coats and it is perfectly opaque. It was basically opaque in two coats, I really kept going out of habit! Lynn's microglitters keep getting easier to apply and more opaque.

Lynnderella Princess Sweet Pea is actually what Lynnderella calls a "nanoglitter", meaning smaller than microglitter! She describes this as a "pink and lilac holographic nanoglitter with tonal accents in magenta-sparked translucent magenta base". To me, it looks like a purple-y toned pink holo glitter with larger metallic lavender, pink and holographic pink accents (including a large pink holo circle! Yay circle glitter!). Like Greener Than You Pink!, this is super rainbow-y in the sun.

Also like Greener Than You Pink!, application was a breeze. This is three coats, but again, depending on the thickness of your coats, two may be perfect. Lynnderella's microglitters (or nanoglitters) are so easy to apply that they're getting to be my new "nail pajamas". I can slap on two coats of them, sometimes with no base coat, and either leave them like that if I'm in a huge hurry (without top coat, they're sort of like a sparkly texture polish), or use a QDTC for beautiful smooth shiny glitter nails! They dry really quickly on their own too.
