SinfulColors Flirt with Hearts for Valentine's Day 2015 Swatches!

*sent for review*

SinfulColors has a great little collection of 8 polishes out now for Valentine's Day and I have four of these cuties for your viewing pleasure today! These are perfect little treats to give yourself for Valentine's Day, by the way! First up is SinfulColors Daredevil, a hot pink with subtle blue shimmer. This is a nice neon pink, not retina searing neon, but still nice and bright. The blue shimmer is visible in certain lights, but it mostly just adds a little dimension to the finish.

This is three coats of Daredevil. It has a nice formula with a good consistency, not too thick or too thin. Like all neons, it dries to a semi-matte finish, so I did use a nice shiny top coat to finish it off.

SinfulColors 24/7 is a medium blue-toned pink creme. It's not quite a bright bubblegum, it's a shade or two darker than that. Kind of a more grown up bubblegum. It's a nice shade of pink that will be flattering on a variety of skin tones and it's great for spring, so grab this if you don't have something similar already.

This is two coats of 24/7. It applied well and was nicely opaque. No complaints about this one!

SinfulColors Love Sprinkles is a brand new limited edition glitter topper. It features pale pink and white glitters with large white heart glitters in a clear base. It looks adorable over any color polish and instantly makes your mani Valentine's Day festive!

Love Sprinkles was pretty easy to apply. The glitter came out readily, even the heart glitter. I kind of pushed the hearts around to position them, but otherwise it was pretty unfussy for a glitter topper like this. This is 1-2 coats of Love Sprinkles over 24/7. I say 1-2 because most nails have one coat, but I dabbed a few more glitters onto two of my nails for good measure.

SinfulColors GoGo Girl is a juicy deep red jelly. SinfulColors calls it "candy apple red" and that is perfect- it really makes me think of a candy apple. I know GoGo Girl is not new and it is a lot of people's favorite red polish, but it's new to me! I am in love with it already and it may quickly become my HG red jelly.

This is three coats of GoGo Girl. The formula was good, maybe a tad thin, but not too problematic. It is fairly sheer on the first coat, thanks to it's jellyness, but it's buildable.

And here's Love Sprinkles over GoGo Girl with a matte top coat. Love this!! I just found my mani for Valentine's Day!

Lynnderella Valentime Collection Swatches, Part 1!

*Purchased by me*

Valentine's Day is not a big deal for me at all, I don't look do anything special for it or anything. But I DO always look forward to Lynnderella Valentine's Day polishes! This year's Valentime collection is KILLING IT for me! I purchased the whole collection and have four of the beauties for you today. Lynnderella Love is All Around features several sizes and colors of my favorite circle glitter. The glitters are various shades of pink, lavender, white, and red. There are some shiny glitters and some mattes/satins too. Love is All Around also has fuchsia microglitter in a pink shimmered clear base.

This is one easy coat of Love is All Around over two coats of Sally Hansen Insta Dri Lively Lilac. Love is All Around is really nice to apply and plenty of glitters come out on the brush, so no fishing necessary!

Lynnderella Valentime is looking like my possible favorite of the collection. This mix of red, pink and blue glitters is really special and unique. There are some of my favorite circle glitters, red bar glitter, lots of small periwinkle glitters and large holo flowers too! The periwinkle glitters really push this over the edge in the uniqueness department. The base is clear, with lots of blue shimmer.

This is two dabbed coats of Valentime over two coats of Barielle Heaven Sent. Valentime has a ton of glitters, so dabbing works best here. I am used to the dabbing method for glitters, so I found application to be easy.

Lynnderella Like Love is actually called Love Like on her blog and on lynnderella.com, I just realized! Ahhhhh, does that make this one special??? Cool! Anyway, this is a mix of neon pink, red, light purple, and iridescent mylar-ish glitters in violet-shimmered base. The mylar/iridescent glitters in this are SO pretty in person, but hard to capture in the pictures. They just reflect so much color and light and add a lot of dimension to the polish. I am crazy about this polish and didn't even think I was going to love it so much!

This is two coats of Like Love/Love Like over Barielle Pink Parasol. It was easy to apply and get lots of glitter on the nail. I did spread the glitter around a bit to make the larger pieces evenly placed around the nails.

I recently wore Lynnderella Rose Rouge for a few days and didn't ever want to take it off! Look at me, drooling over a red microglitter (two things I used to not really like). Rose Rouge is a pink-red microglitter with holo microglitter and pinky red larger glitter accents. This is very pink leaning, almost a magenta red. This makes it more unique for me than a straight red microglitter. It's really stunning in person with the holo microglitter!

Rose Rouge is very easy to apply and can be fully opaque on it's own in 2-3 coats. I layered just one coat over 2 coats of OPI Congeniality is My Middle Name. Part of the fun of Lynnderellas for me is layering them with other polishes, so I like to layer microglitters even though they can be worn alone.

I hope to have the rest of the amazing Valentime collection up soon, it is really amazing! I think it is replacing Fall in Love as my favorite Lynnderella collection! The Lynnderella Valentime collection is available now at Lynnderella.com and Lynnderella.storenvy.com. Barielle Gentle Breeze Collection for Spring 2015 Swatches!

*sent for review*

Although spring has definitely not sprung outside my window, it has in the nail polish world! Spring collections with cheery colors are out in full force, including the Barielle Gentle Breeze Spring 2015 collection. Even the name "Gentle Breeze" makes it feel warmer in here! First up in this pretty group of polishes is Barielle Heaven Sent, a soft, yet bright feeling baby blue creme. This lovely polish has the spring-y feeling of a pastel, but it's a little more saturated.  Heaven Sent is so perfect for spring!

This is two super easy coats of Heaven Sent. It has a really great formula, near perfect! It was nearly opaque in one coat! Sometimes colors like this can be a bit tricky, but not this one. A winner all around!

Barielle Under the Sea is a medium teal shimmer. It's a nice balance of green and blue, maybe a tad more green than in the first picture here. The shimmer is teeny tiny silver flecks, very pretty in the teal base. Barielle describes this as a "rich, sea scuba blue shimmer". Haha, I love that- sea scuba blue! Love this color!

This is three coats of Under the Sea. It was pretty thin and watery in consistency, so I did have to be careful to avoid flooding my cuticles. If you do thicker coats, you will probably be OK with two coats, but I needed a third for full opacity.

Barielle Champagne Bubbles is described as a "creamy tangerine". On me, it's more of a warm-toned beige creme. If I were going to describe it using a fruit, I think I would pick apricot, not tangerine. It's a bit too warm and tan to be a nude for me, but it could be someone's nude, or a nice flattering work appropriate shade. It has a squishy finish to it that is a bit cruelly-like.

This is three coats of Champagne Bubbles. The first coat was very sheer, but it built up to full opacity in three coats. It was on the thin side, like Under the Sea.

This lovely pale grey pearl is Barielle Gray Sky. It is described as a "rich, creamy glacier gray". It has the icy feel of a glacier for sure. The shimmer in this is nice and smooth, more like a subtle pearl than chunky shimmer.

This is two coats of Gray Sky. It was maybe a tad thin, but not difficult to apply.

Barielle Pink Parasol is a bubblegum pink creme, the color of strawberry candy. This is another one that feels a little pastel, but it's more saturated than a pastel pink for sure. This is a really delicious pink and nothing says spring like a bubblegum pink!

This is three coats of Pink Parasol. Again, I do tend to do thinner coats, so two would probably work fine here. The formula was good, nice consistency and easy to apply.

This collection really says spring to me and I like it a lot! I keep being impressed by Barielle's collections, most recently, the fall Jetsetter collection (swatches here and here). My top picks from this one would definitely be Heaven Sent, Under the Sea and Pink Parasol! The Barielle Gentle Breeze collection is available now at Barielle.com.

I Love Nail Polish Black Orchid

 *Purchased by me*

Over the last few weeks here in lovely New England, we've had two types of weather- "snowing" and "going to snow soon". It's been really dark and overcast and I don't typically bother to wear holo polish this time of year. It kind of gets wasted with the lack of sunshine. But yesterday, there were about 10 minutes where one tiny ray of sun peeked through the clouds and I decided to try out I Love Nail Polish Black Orchid. I got this awhile ago and have been dying to try it! Black Orchid is a vampy purple linear holo. It's definitely a linear holo, I could see the linear flame in person. The weak winter sun makes it look less holo in these pictures, but they give you a good idea of what this polish will look like when it's not in direct bright sunlight.

Black Orchid was pretty easy to apply. This is three coats, but it really should be a two coater. I didn't let the first coat dry all the way and got some bald patches. As long as you allow the first coat to dry, Black Orchid is even and opaque in two coats.

*Purchased by me*

If you are a lover of holographic nail polish or vampy purple polish, you will want ILNP Black Orchid. It is really stunning and I can't wait to wear it again on a sunnier day! ILNP Black Orchid is available now at ilnp.com.

Barielle Line Eraser Review

 *Sent for review*

Today, Barielle and I take a departure from nail polish and head into the world of skin care and makeup. I turned 30 in November and am pretty paranoid about fine lines showing up, so when Barielle mentioned their new Line Eraser- 90 Second Wrinkle Reducer, I immediately wanted to try it. This product can be used alone or under makeup to smooth the skin and reduce the look of wrinkles immediately. Barielle says it reduces the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, crows feet, and under eye puffiness.

Barielle Line Eraser comes in this kind of injector-looking packaging. You just remove both the plastic outer cap and the rubber inner protector and press down on the top to dispense the product. Now I have found that most products that claim to smooth the skin contain dimethicone and lots of it. Dimethicone makes me break out like crazy, so I was happy to see it is not on the list of ingredients (taken from barielle.com).
Full Ingredients: Water (Aqua/Eau), Butylene Glycol, Sodium Silicate, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Caprylyl Glycol, Cellulose Gum, Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Alumina, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ammonium Polyacrylate, Silica, Pentylene Glycol, Lecithin, Commiphora Mukul Resin Extract, Alcohol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopherol, Retinol, Polysorbate 20.

You can see that the product has a bit of a tint to it and for super pale people like myself, that is a little bit of a problem. If I try to use this on certain areas of my face, it's very visible and the wrong color for sure. I also have to make sure that I only use a tiny dab. If I use too much, it really shows up. Now, does this stuff work??

Here you can see Barielle Line Eraser applied under the eye on the right. I have nothing under the eye on the left. The under eye area on the right looks tighter, less puffy, definitely way more smooth and less wrinkly. This is actually a really good day for my under eye bags, but the difference is even bigger when I have a bad bag day LOL. Applying this to just one eye and then looking in the mirror really sold me on this product. It honestly lifts my whole eye area up, so it looks younger and refreshed. I also tried this product on some small developing lines on my face, but I really feel that it's true calling is for under eye use. It smooths on the rest of the face, but the tightening effects are best seen under the eyes. I will definitely add this product to my regular daily routine.

So did you realize that Barielle made skincare too? I didn't really know that, but they have a bunch of great looking creams and products on their website. I want to try the Hydrating Night Cream with Argan Oil now! Barielle Line Eraser is available now at barielle.com.

Zoya Naturel Satin Collection Swatches!

*Sent for review*

I am always up for new nail polish finishes and I do love to see companies trying to be a bit innovative with their latest releases, so I have been very excited for the Zoya Naturel Satin collection. These six soft neutrals are a cross between a regular creme finish and a matte finish. They almost have a waxy appearance with a soft sheen, but no shimmer. Zoya says they last longer than regular mattes, but I haven't tested that claim yet. I will update the post when I do have a chance to do that. First up, we have Zoya Ana, a light creamy beige satin. Zoya describes it as a "light toasted almond" satin.

This is three coats of Zoya Ana. It was 100% opaque in two coats, but I did the third to even it out. These don't really self level, so they can end up looking uneven. I think there's a bit of a learning curve in the application, mine seemed to get better as I went along. If you just really try to make each brushstroke have the same amount of polish, these come out better. Drying time was slower than a traditional matte, more like a creme finish.

Zoya Sage is probably my favorite of this collection. It's a dusty grey green satin. It's soft green, but it has definitely grey tones. Zoya calls it a "mossy sage green" satin.

This is three coats and Sage was also opaque in just two coats. The third coat was for evening purposes. You can still see unevenness, but I think it was less noticeable in person.

Zoya Rowan is a putty-colored light taupe satin. Rowan is a really great neutral. It's safe for work, but has some edgy interest in the color. Zoya describes it as "creamy suede taupe".

This is just two coats of Rowan. Either my application was improving, or this one was easier to even out. Maybe a bit of both!

I really love the paleness of Zoya Leah. This stark light lavender-grey satin is neutral, but kind of bold looking too. Zoya says it's a "lavender tinged taupe" and in the bottle it looked more taupe to me. On my nails, I get more of a pale grey feel, as I think taupe usually has some more brown to it. Either way, it's an interesting shade and I can't think of anything similar in my collection.

This is just two coats of Leah- yay! This was pretty easy to apply, like Rowan.

Zoya Tove is a cool-toned blue grey satin. It looks more blue than grey in some lights, but it's nicely dusty so it still acts like a neutral. Zoya aptly describes it as a "misty slate grey".

This is just two coats of Tove and I think it was the easiest to apply. I had no trouble getting it even and it's nicely opaque.

Zoya Brittany is a soft greyed pink satin. This is not a bright or bubblegum pink at all, it's a very neutral subtle blush. This is not the most flattering color for me, I think it will really shine on darker skin tones and make them pop! Zoya calls Brittany a "rose mauve".

This is three coats of Brittany. I thought it was going to be OK in two coats, but then I don't know what happened on my ring nail and I had to try to smooth things out. Some of these just need a careful hand during application.

I am glad to see Zoya doing a new finish! I definitely like the satin look, it's pretty cool looking! My favorites of the collection are Sage, Rowan and Leah. The Zoya Naturel Satin collection is available now at zoya.com.
