Zoya Sunset Palette Swatches & Review!

*Sent for review*

Halloween has past and November is here! Today I have the ultimate Thanksgiving nail polish collection- the Sunset Palette from Zoya! I can't wait to wear these polishes as a skittle mani on Thanksgiving, they are THE quintessential fall colors.

Zoya Colin is a warm milk chocolate-y brown creme with red undertones. If you're doing nail art, this would be a perfect color for a turkey 🦃! I love how this looks on my skin tone, but I'd imagine it would look great on a variety of skin tones.

This is two coats and the application was excellent. The formula is a great consistency and self-levels perfectly. I used a layer of shiny top coat in all swatches in this post.

If Colin is a milk chocolate brown, Zoya Dionne is a dark chocolate creme with a little wink of purple-red tone. Dionne is so rich and smooth looking. It has me thinking of a chocolate ganache cake from this local bakery, yum!

Again, two super easy coats. This one could almost be a one coater if you do thicker coats. Great application!

Zoya Cory is a deep spiced pumpkin creme. It's not a cheesy tacky pumpkin color, more of a luxurious pumpkin with a lot of spices mixed in. This one really screams FALL to me and I love it. Cory would be perfect for some nail art with fall leaves.

Another excellent two coater! I was very happy with the formulas in this whole collection.

I love yellow polish, so I knew I would love Zoya Honey. I think I love it even more than I anticipated though, it's the perfect yellow for fall. Zoya describes it as a "warm, golden honeycomb cream". It's not mustard-y, it's a little more crisp and clean than a mustard. But it's also clearly not a summer yellow. LOVE it!!

This was two coats!! Yay!! A yellow with a good formula always has a special place in my heart. Look at how smooth it is and it was easy to apply, no complaints.

Zoya Jackie is a beautiful brick red creme with lots of rusty orange tones. This is another perfect color for the season. Very flattering and a little 70's feeling.

Two easy coats, no fuss! Zoya's creme formula has been so spot on and reliable in recent years. It's really nice to be able to count on them for having flawless cremes.

The Sunset palette also includes Zoya Hot Lips gloss in Anonymous. I had never tried the Hot Lips gloss before and I really love it! It smells great, a little fruity but not overly sweet. The scent also fades, so it's not a big deal if you don't like it. It's nicely glossy but doesn't feel sticky. Anonymous is a gorgeous raspberry color with golden shimmer. You can apply a little for a sheer tint, or a bit more for more color. I will definitely be trying more Hot Lips glosses now.

Zoya sent this little info sheet with the Sunset Palette. Some of these things I knew, but thought it was interesting to see them all together. It makes me happy to support a company doing all of these things!

Each shade in the Zoya Sunset palette stands alone and would be a worthwhile purchase. All five together are THE perfect fall palette and a must for any fall polish lover. I love the shades they chose to include and can't wait to wear all 5 together.

Zoya Sophisticates Fall 2017 Swatches, Part 2!

*Sent for review*

The second half of the Zoya Sophisticates collection is a very "fall" feeling set of colors. If you like classic vampy fall colors, you will love these. Zoya Mona is a deep burgundy wine creme with some plummy pinkish tones. It's not super dark and vampy, but dark enough to have a little edge, while still being pretty work appropriate. Indoors this looks a bit darker than this, but you really see the plum tones in brighter lighting. I put this on my toes immediately after swatching it, great fall pedi color!

This is two coats. Mona has a lovely formula and nice pigmentation. Like the other half of the collection, this half is mostly opaque in two coats and nicely easy to apply.

Zoya Yvonne is a rich berry toned red creme. This polish is like a fine red wine. The berry hints make it more interesting than just a straight up red creme. I think this would be very flattering on a variety of skin tones.

Two easy coats here too! Nice consistency and opacity.

Zoya Tabitha is a deep forest green with pearl shimmer. The shimmer is very refined and adds a nice depth to the polish. It's quite a dark green, in some lighting it almost looks like charcoal gray. I don't think I have a shimmering green this dark in my collection!

This is two coats. When I look really closely, I can see some brushstrokes, but in person I don't notice them at all. Otherwise the formula was good.

Zoya Gal is an interesting shade. Zoya describes it as a "smokey, iridescent, peridot gold metallic". It's kind of a mix of green, gold and maybe some silvery gray. A murky looking metallic shade that looks different in different lighting situations.

This is three coats of Gal. In the pictures I still see a bit of VNL, but I didn't in person. It's almost a foil finish, and I find that sometimes those foil shimmers can look a little see through in pictures. The shimmer is a chunkier shimmer than any of the other shades in this collection.

Zoya Hadley is a deliciously dark night sky blue creme. It looks almost black in lower lighting, but it is really a great smoky blue with charcoal tones. This is a perfect vampy shade for fall. If you think black is too harsh on your skin tone, but want to wear something really dark, try Hadley. It is softer looking and more flattering than black, but still very deep.

This is two easy coats. Could almost be a one coater if your coats are thicker than mine!

Zoya Elaine is a very deep brown creme, described as an "umber brown". Umber brown usually has some reddish tones and I do see some very dark wine tones in Elaine. This is another shade that is very deep and vampy, but more flattering than harsh black. The slight warmth of the brown is nicer on me personally than a cold black.

This is two easy coats. Again, it could almost be a one coater if you do thicker coats than I do. The formula was a very nice consistency.

The Zoya Sophisticates collection is a great selection of classic fall feeling colors. My personal favorites are Presley, Tabitha, and Hadley. Can't resist that super dark blue!! If you missed my post with the first half of the collection, check it out here. What colors are catching your eye here? I will also have swatches of the lipsticks from this collection soon!

Zoya Focus Collection for Fall 2015 Swatches and Review!

 *Sent for review*

Who's ready for fall? Pumpkin spice everything, crunchy leaves strewn across the ground and vampy polish! I have the Zoya Focus collection for you today and I started with the moody blackened purple, Zoya Lidia. This is a really perfect fall shade, it's deep and moody, but has rich color to it. This is a great dark eggplant creme, but it's not so dark that it looks black.

This is three thin coats of Lidia. The formula was pretty good. It was a little thin, so just don't load up your brush too much.

One of two reds in the Focus collection, Zoya Janel is a deep blood red creme with hints of warm rust and brown. This is definitely a very fall feeling red, not juicy and summer-y. I don't wear reds a lot, but I always like having a warm rusty red to wear on my toes sometime in the fall. It just feels like it goes with the colors of the falling leaves.

This is three thin coats of Janel. This one was thin as well and I flooded my cuticles on the first nail I tried it on. As long as you don't overfill your brush, it's fine and won't give you any trouble.

Zoya Desiree is a dark brown creme. Zoya calls it a "classic sable brown". This is a great shade to have in your stash for all kinds of fun fall nail art!

This is three thin coats of Desiree. The formula was good, thicker than the first two, making it very easy to apply.

I love that Zoya threw my summer loving heart a bone in this collection. Zoya Sia is a saturated and bright royal blue that can work perfectly while it's still 90 degrees out, but will still look like a rich jewel in the fall. Sia is a really nice royal blue color, brighter than some of the versions we've seen, but also more rich, so I think it's a bit different.

This is two coats of Sia. It is a highly pigmented shade, so you could almost do one coat if you were careful. Zoya advises wearing a good base coat with this one, as it may stain. I didn't have any staining, but I only wore it for a few minutes while taking pictures. I would definitely do two coats of base coat when wearing this as a full mani, as it is so pigmented. Also, make sure you allow each coat to dry fully. On my ring nail, I got some unevenness because the first coat wasn't dry. Otherwise the formula was easy to apply and a good consistency.

I just wanted to include this picture for fun. I was taking a picture of Sia over these Black-Eyed Susans that are right out my back door and loved the golden yellow with the royal blue!

In my humble opinion, Zoya Charli is the most unique and interesting shade in this collection. Charli is a murky green-gray-taupe-y-brown. It's kind of like an army green mixed with a beige creme. I love all weird green polishes, so you know I'm feeling this one! Charli looks more green or more taupe depending on the light you're in and my mom even thought it looked like a lavender grey at one point.

This is two coats of Charli, but I nearly could have done one. It's beautifully opaque and pigmented. Charli has a great, very easy to use formula.

The second red in the Focus collection is Zoya Hannah. Hannah is a brighter, truer red than Janel. It's less warm toned, more evenly cool and warm. It's a pretty true red, but it can lean maybe a bit pinkish in certain lighting. It also is a little jelly-ish and less of a true creme.

This is three coats of Hannah and it has a lovely formula. It does have some VNL, but being a jelly, I don't mind it. It looks like nice squishy candy!

Overall, the Zoya Focus collection is a great group of classic fall cremes. These are colors that are always very popular in the fall, so if fall is your favorite polish season, you will enjoy this collection a lot. My personal favorite is Charli, but I'll be getting a lot of use out of Lidia and Sia as well!

The Zoya Focus collection is available now at Zoya.com!

So are you wearing fall colors already, are you still on summer brights or a little of both? I'm still on summer neons and brights!
