Ugly/Pretty Crackle= LOVE

My life is now complete. I now own ALL of the China Glaze Crackles!!! I originally did not order Fault Line and Broken Hearted because I really wasn't sure if I would wear the Crackles often. Once I realized that I am obsessed with crackle polish, I tried to order those two, but they were sold out at the usual e-tailers, and my Sally Beauty really stinks/has polish from Christmas displayed like it's new. But then, low and behold, I received some unexpected Nail Mail from China Glaze yesterday!!! (I love when you're not expecting a package, it's so exciting LOL). So I present to you today China Glaze Broken Hearted, a saucy-looking hot pink crackle.

Now, hot pink crackle could be very girly and cute if you put it over white or maybe a lighter pink. I obviously went the opposite direction here. I was going for the Toxic Swamp look, I think I nailed it. This is one coat of Broken Hearted over two coats of China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald. I think it's that really cool looking Ugly that is kind of pretty LOL.

I actually applied this the normal way this time, just to see how it came out. I really love it this way too!! I feel like Crackle polish just can't go wrong for me right now. I have been wearing it non-stop (except for the 6 days that I wore Incoco) and am not getting tired of it at all! I am so happy to have Fault Line and Broken Hearted to complete my collection. I will definitely be showing you Fault Line in a few days, I think I'll go for a "Pretty" look this time!

Above is a rare view of my right hand! I thought Broken Hearted crackled really nicely on the right hand, so I wanted to show you. I can't even hold the bottle properly with this hand, weird!!!

Some of the Crackles are still available on Amazon.com, in case your local Sally Beauty store is as bad as mine!

China Glaze Broken Hearted was sent to me by a PR representative for China Glaze. For more information, please read my Disclosure Policy.

Craic and Crack(le)!!!

(Craic is an Irish word for fun, by the way. It's pronounced "crack". As in, "last night's party was some good craic!")

So after a little break to wear the Incoco appliques, I have China Glaze Crackle on again! I missed it LOL!

I wanted to crackle over a green polish, in honor of St. Patrick's Day (I currently am on St. Patrick's Day overload with all the shows I have, but I'm sure you guys might like to see some green!). When I first did this mani, I wasn't that big of a fan. I was expecting Lightening Bolt to be more white looking, it kind of came out yellow because of the green underneath. Now that I've had it on for awhile, I definitely like it a lot better. I also got a bunch of compliments on this the whole time I've worn it and everyone wanted to know what it was.

This was applied in diagonal brush strokes starting at the bottom of the nail. I think this is a cool technique, but blobbing is still my favorite! Overall, I think I like Crushed Candy and Cracked Concrete slightly better, but Lightening Bolt is still extremely cool and I will definitely be wearing it again. All pictures show two coats of Four Leaf Clover and one coat of Lightening Bolt, taken in natural light.

By the way, I'm really loving the China Glaze Up and Away polishes under Crackle. I think I would have liked Up and Away better had it come out with a crackle polish!

Incoco Nail Stickers... 6 Days Later

As all of you probably know by now, I have nail polish A.D.D. I feel the need to wear something different on my nails just about every other day. Therefore, I usually leave the wear tests to other bloggers who actually have the virtue of patience.

It just so happened, though, that I applied the Incoco Nail Appliques right as I was embarking on a seriously busy couple of days. I actually managed to leave them on my nails for a grand total of 6 days!!! Check out the pictures of these babies 6 days later.

You can see some very very slight tip wear, but really wearable and not at all obnoxious. If I weren't N.A.D.D. (that's Nail Attention Deficit Disorder), I would totally leave these on for a few more days! I've heard that these last almost 2 weeks on some people, and I could definitely believe that after wearing them.

I did get a reader comment on the price of these. They are about $8.95-$10.95 for one set. When you compare that to a bottle of OPI or China Glaze, it seems silly to pay that much for one use stickers. However, I'm kind of comparing it to a professional manicure with nail art. Personally, I would only buy the nail art kind, not the regular polish kind, so I think that's a fair comparison. So if you think about it that way, the price seems OK. These definitely have great lasting power, so no worries there. After seeing the wear time, I give these a 8.5/10. I only took points off because I think they would be more popular around the $5-$6 price point.

March Madness

So, just a little explanation here....

Some of you may be saying, OK so this girl is an Irish dancing nail polish blogger, where is the month of green polish/endless St. Patty's Day looks???

1. I am an Irish dancer. We are in REALLY high demand right about now. I have shows coming out of my ears, and little to no time to do my nails, let alone take pictures of them and then write about them!

2. Never call it St. Patty's Day. Kthanxbye.

3. Stay tuned, there will be a contest very soon in honor of St. Patrick's Day!
