Lynnderella Friday Vol. 28!

*Sent for review*

Happy Friday!! Any good plans for the weekend? I am anxiously awaiting this snow storm that we may or may not be getting here in CT. I hope we do get a good amount, we really haven't had any snow yet! Today I have two new Lynnderellas for your viewing enjoyment. The first is Lynnderella The Romance of the Forest (apparently named after a very old gothic novel). The Romance of the Forest has these gorgeous purple to green/gold flakies, with mini hearts and other holo glitters in a clear base. The color of the flakes really looks different depending on lighting and how you move your hands. I love polishes like that- I like to just move my hands around and stare at them! Below you can see the green glow of the flakes.

This is three coats of The Romance of the Forest by itself and it was nicely opaque. I think it would also look fantastic layered over black or really any color! It was easy to apply and the flakies are nice and flat.

Oooooof... this one!! Wowza I love this so much!! Lynnderella Bouquet D'Amour is an adorable mix of a rainbow of holographic hearts with little mini hearts and a beautiful sparkling microglitter base. I love holo heart glitter and having all of these colors in one polish is making me leap for joy!! I LOVE that this has a clear shimmery base, because that means I can wear this over any color my little heart-loving self desires!! I want to try it over a really pale blue next.

This is basically one dabbed coat of Bouquet D'Amour over OPI Look at My Bow! (Yes, the OPI Hello Kitty polishes have landed! Swatches coming Sunday!). I did go back and add in an extra heart or two wherever I felt one was needed, but they are very plentiful, so it's easy to get them on the brush.

Both of these are available on lynnderella.com right now! The auction for Bouquet ends tonight and Romance ends tomorrow, but they will be available again, so keep checking back!

Recent Smitten Polish Purchases and Smitten News!

*Purchased by me*

I have a quick post for you today with 3 polishes I purchased recently from Smitten Polish. I wanted to post them today because this is the last day that Smitten Polish will officially exist! No, no, don't panic! Smitten isn't closing- just renaming! Starting tomorrow, Smitten will be known as Dreamland Lacquer. Nothing else will be changing, Noelie will still be making spectacular polish, kicking it off with a new Valentine's Day trio tomorrow. I am excited for the new trio and the new name too! But for now, let's take a look at Smitten One Heart, a pink linear holo that leans purple or even mauve, depending on the light. I found this to look more cotton candy pink outside in bright light, and more purple indoors. One Heart is a Hella Holo Customs polish, so you must be a member to purchase this. The order for it is over, but I have seen several people selling it in the group, so definitely join if you haven't already!

This is two effortless coats of One Heart!

Now, you know I hate to show you polishes you can't have, but these are just too beautiful. In the last Smitten restock, Noelie offered grab bags of three prototypes for $15. I snatched one up as fast as I could and have two to show you today. This bright jewel pink linear holo treat is Proto #71. This is three thin coats.

This drool-worthy vampy linear holo is Proto #51. This one alone is worth the $15! It is a deep brown with hints of burgundy and wine, and sometimes a little flash of gold. The holo flame is super strong as you can see! It almost looks like holo hot chocolate!

Two luscious coats!! I hope maybe Noelie will have some prototype grab bags again in the future! I would definitely buy one again.

So tomorrow, Dreamland Lacquer will kick things off with a Valentine's trio at 2pm CST at the new store http://www.dreamlandlacquer.com!!

Chanel Sunrise Trip

 *Purchased by me*

Today I have a gorgeous polish from the Chanel spring collection for you, Chanel Sunrise Trip. I do like to treat myself to Chanel polish every now and then whenever I think they are special and unique. Sunrise Trip is a super juicy purple jelly, what Chanel calls a "nail gloss". It is so glossy, shiny and just perfect. It leans a bit more purple than my pictures show, but with a definite blue tone.

Being that this is a jelly, it is sheer in one coat, but buildable. This is three coats and I still have VNL, but it's the nice kind of VNL that I like when wearing a jelly. I thought the formula was very good, it's a thicker gel-like consistency, but that makes it easy to avoid any pooling or flooding the cuticles. I have read some reviews where people thought it was hard to apply, but my experience with it was very good.

If you like Chanel polish and jellies, this will be a must have for you. Get it soon because it is limited edition. I am really glad I got it! I also love that it isn't so spring-y that it feels out of place right now, because I want to wear it right away!!

Sunrise Trip is available at Chanel.com or Macys.com. I got mine at Macy's and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they now offer free shipping on all beauty purchases!

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 27! More Valentine's Treats!

*Sent for review*

TGIF!!!! I guess I'm not quite over Christmas vacation yet, because this week seemed kind of rough too! I think I just hate January. It is my least favorite month. Typically we get a few snow days to make January a little more fun, but we haven't even had that yet! But today is Friday and it is a Lynnderella Friday with lots of pretties to see! Let's start with Lynnderella Gold Crush, a new LE with silver holo micro flakes and assorted colors of larger holo flakes. The shimmer in the clear base is a beautiful mix of pink and aqua with teeny yellow flakes. I love the mix of silver with blue and purple, the colors look very pretty together! I like these flakes a lot, they are very smooth and flat, no edges sticking up anywhere, and they catch the light really well.

This is one coat over OPI This Silver's Mine. This can also be worn alone in about three coats. It is easy to apply. I don't know if these are new flakes or something, but they are so cooperative and easy to work with!

Lynnderella just released a special Valentine's Day duo for 2016, nicknamed ValenTwins. The first polish in the duo, Lynnderella Valen-Tiny is described as "a lilac-fuschia holographic microglitter with mini heart accents in an electric blue violet- and pink-shimmered clear base".  The mini hearts are so cute, I love them!!!!! Lynnderella said that she got new mini hearts in a great variety of colors and this polish has red, lavender and magenta pieces.

This is two coats of Valen-Tiny. It was easy to apply and nicely opaque. The hearts are really nice and flat. They fit even on my tiny nail beds!

The ValenTwins duo also comes with a cute little box of loose nail art glitter. I used a couple different kinds of the glitter mix over Valen-Tiny. I love the huge holographic silver cupid! There were also some huge hearts, large hexes, diamonds, and tons of other cool glitter shapes in the mix.

The second half of the ValenTwins duo is Lynnderella Love the Little Ones. I LOOOOOOVE this one!!!! Love the Little Ones is a glitter topper made with the same adorable new mini hearts as Valen-Tiny, along with larger hearts, circles (yay!), and hex glitter in various sizes, all in the colors of Valentine's Day- red, pink, lavender, and magenta. Lynnderella describes it as "assorted mini hearts accented with old-fashioned “normal” hearts and microglitter in a lilac-shimmered clear base". I describe it as "Valentine's Day in a bottle"!

This is one dabbed coat over OPI In a HoliDaze (still have my Christmas polishes out LOL). Love the Little Ones has lots of glitter pieces, but it was still easy to dab on and squish the pieces into place.

Lynnderella Hollo, I Love You. is another beautiful new LE with those same awesome new mini holographic hearts. I love these new mini hearts so much, I want to coat my body in them, but I suppose I will have to settle for coating my nails. I find them to be so exciting because a lot of glitter shapes, like hearts, don't lay flat on my very small nail beds. These new hearts are perfectly flat and don't stick up at all, it's very exciting to me! Lynnderella says that Hollo, I Love You "is all about holographic mini hearts accented with stars, dots, lightening bolts and microglitter. Pink-shimmered pink tinted base with tiny aqua flakes". I am forever a huge fan of Lynn's glitter toppers. I love coming up with layering combinations and I like seeing that every nail gets a slightly different glitter mix. So I am happy to see this great topper with it's fun mix of glitter! Lightening bolts and mini hearts together? Yes please!!

I dabbed one coat of Hollo, I Love You over Nicole by OPI Tink's in the Pink for this mani. Hollo, I Love You was easy to apply with the dabbing method. This mani makes me happy!!

*Purchased by me*

OK here is a shameful story... Lynnderella MarziPink is a Valentine's Day LE from 2013. It has been living in my untrieds drawer since February of 2013!!! I am so sorry for neglecting you, little glitters!! MarziPink contains pale pink, fuchsia, minty gray, and white satin glitters. It also has pretty pink glitter and shimmer in a clear base. I love how these colors look so delicate and pretty!

To capitalize on the delicate look of MarziPink, I used two coats over OPI I Theodora You, and then topped it all off with a layer of matte top coat. My bottle has been sitting in a drawer for 3 years, but it still had a great consistency and was easy to apply after a good shake!

All of these gorgeous Lynnderellas are available now on lynnderella.com or lynnderella.storenvy.com.

Octopus Party Crypsis

*Purchased by me*

Hi everyone! We made it through Wednesday and the weekend is seeming closer, right? Today I have a really spectacular polish for you- my very first Octopus Party lacquer! This holographic lavender-gray beauty is Octopus Party Crypsis. Crypsis is a group custom for the Octopus Party fan group on Facebook, called The Octosquad! It's a stunning linear holo that also has a duochrome purple to green/blue shift. I can't decide what color this polish really is, it shifts between purple, lavender, gray, icy blue, etc. In sunshine, you get to see the gorgeous holo rainbow, and in lower lighting, the duochrome really stands out! So it looks fantastic no matter what lighting you're in!

This is three thin coats of Crypsis, although it was pretty pigmented, so you could probably do two. It was effortless to apply and I did not need to do any clean-up. Lovely!

Now I have to share this- I got a new Patagonia jacket for Christmas and it's a purple to green/blue duochrome fabric!!! It goes with Crypsis so well it's crazy! I am mad though because my camera really didn't want to capture the shift in either the polish or the jacket.

If you want to get this stunner, you must proceed to the Octosquad on Facebook. It is a group custom, so sales of this polish happen only in that group, but it is fairly easy to join. Also check out the Octopus Party Etsy Store, it currently has a few goodies in there!
