But it's sad how small, high quality companies get swallowed up by bigger, more widely known ones.fireflyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10581996073295381479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4731536467340848518.post-80461914117217317482010-04-25T20:08:22.110-04:002010-04-25T20:08:22.110-04:00Same here nailpolishaddict. It's not like Essie was ever my favorite brand anyway.Never Enough Nailshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812595858366615363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4731536467340848518.post-9387072412259563312010-04-25T14:40:47.548-04:002010-04-25T14:40:47.548-04:00I'm not thrilled about this at all. I have about five Essies on my wish list and I plan to acquire them ASAP, but after that I'll stick to OPI.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4731536467340848518.post-12027013879381395002010-04-25T11:20:10.208-04:002010-04-25T11:20:10.208-04:00Good point peripatetic. I'm surprised that Essie would do this.

l0verlada- I feel like a price drop should be in order now that L'Oreal owns the brand, don't you? They are big into animal testing if I remember correctly and while I'm not sure about Essie's practices I can bet people won't be pleased. I liked that they were a small company but after the hike up to $8 a bottle on all e-tailers I was calling it quits on them already.Dainty Darling Digitshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09002282137874904717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4731536467340848518.post-2476343495713635122010-04-24T22:02:44.912-04:002010-04-24T22:02:44.912-04:00L'Oreal is on the bad companies list for cruel...L'Oreal is on the bad companies list for cruelty to animals testing on them and Essie is on the good list for not testing on animals so that muddys up the waters for Essie.peripatetic33https://www.blogger.com/profile/06424575433459021044noreply@blogger.com
