Dr.'s Remedy Fresh Start Collection for Fall 2016!

*Sent for review*

Dr.'s Remedy has three lovely new cremes and I have swatches of them for you today! First up is Dr.'s Remedy AMITY Amethyst, a smoky purple creme. This is one of those purples that has a good amount of taupe-y-ness to it and feels like a neutral with an edge. It's more exciting than a standard neutral, but is still appropriate for a wide variety of situations and some work place environments as well. This is a great color year round, but I especially like it for the winter months. It makes me feel cozy!

This is two super easy coats. AMITY Amethyst is so pigmented, you could most likely do just one coat, depending on your application. It was perfectly self-leveling and has a great smooth formula. I used one coat of Dr.'s Remedy top coat, but it was shiny enough on it's own.

Dr.'s Remedy KINETIC Khaki is a taupe creme with hints of green and gray. This is pretty much my perfect taupe creme. It's in that mystery zone- is it gray? Is it greenish? It's a really great neutral with some interest.

This is also two coats and again, if you do thicker coats, you could possibly get away with one coat. Application was a breeze. I used Dr.'s Remedy top coat for that extra shine, but again, it was fairly shiny alone.

Lastly, we have a great shade for autumn and the coming holiday season, Dr.'s Remedy ALTRUISTIC Auburn. This rusty red creme reminds me of old tobacco barns here in CT. It's very warm and has both burnt orange and rust red tones. In person, I think it's a little more murky/dusty feeling than it comes across in these pictures. It has a more earthy feel.

Two easy coats again! These really have a great formula and are so pleasant to work with.

Dr.'s Remedy polishes are 5-free and contain a special blend of ingredients to promote nail health. They are available on http://www.remedynails.com.

Sally Hansen Color Therapy Swatches!

*Sent for review*

Hi everyone! Happy day before Thanksgiving to all of my US friends, hope you are getting ready for a great meal with family and/or friends tomorrow. Today I have some swatches of two of the new Sally Hansen Color Therapy polishes. Sally Hansen says that the Color Therapy polishes contain a "patented micro-delivery system that delivers an argan oil-enriched formula, resulting in intensive nourishment and instant moisture for healthier-looking nails". You are not supposed to use base coat, so that the argan oil complex can get to your nails, but there is a top coat to go along with these. The first Color Therapy polish I tried was Sally Hansen Glow with the Flow. Glow with the Flow is a gorgeous rose gold shimmer. It is the perfect combo of gold, copper and rose and will likely flatter most skin tones.

This is two easy coats of Glow with the Flow. You could most likely just do one coat, it was very pigmented. In the pictures, you can see some brushstrokes, but I didn't notice them in person. Remember last week when I said I had this crazy busy weekend at the regional championships for Irish dance? Well, I wore Glow with the Flow for the whole competition. Typically over that weekend, I have to either redo my nails or fix them a bit on Saturday night. It just seems like it's very hard on my nails and I get chips or tip wear. This time, wearing Glow with the Flow, my nails still looked absolutely perfect on Monday!!! I am very impressed by this and excited to really test out the wear time soon.

The second beautiful color I got to try is Sally Hansen Therapewter, a sparkling charcoal metallic. This dirty silver is a complex shade with some golden tones to it along with the antique silver base.

This is two coats and again, you could possibly get away with one coat depending on your application. I found these to be easy to work with and have a great formula. The brush shape is similar to the Sally Hansen Insta Dri brush, kind of wide and flat. I personally like that brush and find it to apply the polish quickly and accurately.

I used the Color Therapy Top Coat for these swatches and like it a lot. It dries quickly and has a beautiful shine. There are 38 shades of Color Therapy nail lacquers, so definitely something for everyone, and a nail and cuticle oil too. I have my eye on a few more of these and I really want to get the oil as well.

The Sally Hansen Color Therapy collection is coming to a drugstore near you in December!

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 61!!

 *Sent for review*

Happy Friday everyone!! Our huge regional championship competition starts today, so I will not be having a relaxing Friday and weekend, but I hope you do! I have two new beautiful Lynnderellas for you, so let's start off with Lynnderella Shy Pink Periwinkle. Lynnderella describes this as a "rich periwinkle shimmerella with pink, lilac and blue multishimmer". It is a gorgeous deep periwinkle, almost approaching a cornflower blue with a wave of pink shimmer. The pink shimmer is more prominent in person than in these pictures, especially in certain lighting conditions. Love this!

This is two easy coats. The formula is really great- nice and opaque, goes on smoothly, and perfect consistency.

This ladylike gem is Lynnderella Chemise, a "dainty pink shimmerella accented with a whisper of holographic nano glitter". This is a lovely soft shade of blush pink with tiny holo sparks laced throughout the polish. Just enough holo to add some sass to a delicate color!

This is also two easy coats! Great coverage and formula. Because the holo glitter is the nano size, it is smooth to the touch with one layer of top coat, not at all bumpy or gritty.

Lynnderella Shy Pink Periwink and Chemise are both available on http://stores.ebay.com/lynnderella-lynnderella. For more Lynnderella choices, check out lynnderella.com.

Sephora Aloe Vera Hand Mask Review

 *Purchased by me*

Sorry for the radio silence around here, but our regional Irish dance championships are coming up this weekend and it's been non-stop for the last week or so. I promise things will get back to normal next week and I have lots of goodies to post. Being so busy, I definitely haven't been moisturizing my hands and nails enough and they were showing the wear. I decided to try out this Sephora Aloe Vera Hand Mask last night to see if it would help. This is a one-time use mask, with disposable gloves filled with a moisturizing cream/gel. You simply slip the gloves on, leave them on for 15 minutes, and then rub in the excess product. The cream inside is lightly scented with a fresh scent. So did it help with dryness?

I think it did! My hands felt better immediately after trying this mask and for quite some time after using it. I plan to repurchase this mask and to also buy the other two varieties (Avocado and Argan). I have liked the Sephora sheet masks for my face and am very pleased with this hand mask as well. Next I want to try the foot mask!

Sephora Aloe Vera Hand Mask is available at Sephora.com and in Sephora stores.

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 60!

 *Sent for review*

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you made it through the week OK. I have a long weekend of work ahead of me, so Friday is not that exciting for me right now, haha. But I am very excited about Lynnderella Glimmerella Green! Glimerella Green is one of five new Lynnderella shimmer toppers. This is a gorgeous green shimmer meant to layer over cremes, other shimmers, microglitters, or whatever else you can think of.

I used one coat of Glimmerella Green over one coat of black for these pictures. It was very easy to apply and nice and even going over the black. The shimmer is pretty intense looking with just one coat!

I also tried this out over OPI Thanks a Windmillion and the results are beautiful! I love this combo! I can't wait to layer this over tons of other colors.

Lynnderella Glinderella Gold is another of the new Lynnderella toppers. This is a mix of yellow and white gold shimmers. It's so pretty all by itself in the bottle, isn't it? I want to paint everything with this!

For this one, I thought I would experiment with the application a bit. On my index nail, I used one very thin coat over black. Middle nail is two coats and the others are one thicker coat over black. So you can vary the coverage depending on the look you're going for, which is nice. The formula was a little thicker than Glimmerella Green, but not hard to apply.

I also tried Glinderella Gold over Lynnderella Williamsburgundy (a burgundy microglitter). It added a very cool golden shimmery look to the glitter, without looking lumpy.

Next up this week we have Lynnderella Cranfairy Wine. Cranfairy Wine is described as a"rich cranberry wine shimmerella with assorted small gold holographic accents, golden shimmer flakes and multishimmer". I already know for sure that this will be my Thanksgiving Day mani. It reminds me perfectly of cranberry sauce and turkey and feeling relaxed with family. I love the golden flakes, they pop perfectly against the wine colored base.

This was two coats and application was perfect. No problems or complaints. This looks super sparkly, but thanks to the smooth flakes and small holo accents, it is nicely smooth with just one layer of top coat.

The new shimmer toppers are available at lynnderella.com and Cranfairy Wine is on http://stores.ebay.com/lynnderella-lynnderella now!
