Formula X Alchemy II!!

*Purchased by me*

Maybe you are in search of a gorgeous metallic polish to wear on New Year's Eve... Or maybe you got some Sephora gift cards for Christmas... Either way, you need Formula X Alchemy II! I wear the original Alchemy all the time. I leave it out on my dining table year round and just slap on a coat when I have an event to go to and lack the time to really do a mani. So I couldn't wait to get my hands on the new version. The new version is a little darker and more coppery, with hints of rose. It has the same super reflective, smooth metallic finish as the original. I love having two versions of this polish and they are definitely different enough to warrant owning both. I don't have a comparison today because I am wearing this, but I will put one up soon.

This is two coats in these pictures, but you can absolutely just do one coat and get away with it. I also almost never use topcoat with the original Alchemy, so I didn't use it here. It is really easy to apply and has all the sparkle of a glitter without the texture and difficult removal.

Get thee to Sephora.com to purchase this puppy ASAP before it is out of stock!!

Are you gearing up for New Year's Eve? Any big night out plans? I am boring and never do anything on NYE. The bf and I usually watch movies and eat tons of food!

Merry Christmas!!!! Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 25!

*Sent for review*

Wow, I can't believe it's already Christmas! The season flew by too quickly this year and the warm weather we're having seems weird for Christmastime. But I'm going to enjoy the day with family (and delicious food) anyway!! I hope you are having a great day, whether you celebrate the holiday or not. I have my last two Lynnderella Advent polishes for you today. Lynnderella 12-24-15 Fairy GodMother has lots of deep red wine holo microglitter with blue-violet shimmer in a dark red base. The blue-violet shimmer really sets this one apart, it stands out very clearly from the depths of the red. It definitely takes Fairy GodMother to another level beyond other red microglitters.

This was two easy coats with one layer of Essie Gel Setter. It was great to work with and a nice consistency.

This year, there was a bonus polish in the Advent series- Lynnderella 12-26-15 Happily Lavender After. Happily Lavender After is described as "a super shimmer made with more than six different shimmers. Intense midtone pink lavender with a lavender glow". It is a beautiful fairytale lavender pink color. The shimmer looks iridescent and twinkles a bluish color depending on the lighting.

This is three thin coats of Happily Lavender After. It was easy to apply and you could probably get do two coats just fine. It was nicely pigmented.

NOTD: Sparkly Santa Hats!

 *Some polishes sent for review*

Every year I have all these big plans for the Christmas manis I'm going to do and then I get too busy with holiday stuff and don't do them. I finally did one of them today and if it's the only nail art I manage to do this season, at least it's cute! I did sparkly Santa hats today! The silver base is OPI I Drive a Supernova. I made triangles with Scotch tape and used Sephora by OPI Merry Me for the hats. Using a dotting tool, I made the puff ball on top of the hat with OPI Angel with a Leadfoot. I used a smaller dotting tool to make the fluff at the bottom of the hat.

This was pretty quick and easy to do, so definitely give it a try if you're like me and have a busy schedule around this time of year!!

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 24!

*Purchased by me*

One week from today is Christmas Day! Can you believe it's so soon? I can't! I finally got all of my decorations up though, so at least I am ready now. On this Lynnderella Friday one week before the big day, I have 2 more Advents, plus a beautiful LE that you can win in my Lynnderella giveaway!!! Lynnderella Where's Grinchie? is a striking bright green holo microglitter in a green shimmered base. It has red and green glitter accents, including pretty red hearts. I have a heart on my ring finger, but I accidentally buried it with more green glitter and couldn't uncover it! I love the way the bright green glitter stands out in the green base. This is a really perfect Christmas glitter!

This is two coats of Where's Grinchie?. It is nicely opaque and totally full coverage on it's own. It is a tad thicker than some microglitters, but I did not find it to be hard to apply. I used two coats of Essie Gel Setter on top for a really smooth finish.

Lynnderella 12-18-15 Tales of 1001 Nights is a shimmery blue-violet with lots of holo glitter, iridescent microflakes and teeny silver holo stars. This is really unique and beautiful, the flakes are even prettier in person. They catch the light a lot and reflect tons of different colors.

This is three thin coats of Tales of 1001 Nights. It was very easy to apply and nicely opaque on it's own. You could most likely do two coats for full coverage. I used one coat of Essie Gel Setter and it was very smooth to the touch.

OK this one might possibly be my favorite Advent of the year! Lynnderella 12-21-15 MagenTiara is at the most beautiful magenta microglitter in the world. It has magenta and pink holographic microglitter in a shimmery pink-violet base. You all know that pink is not usually my favorite polish color, but how can you not LOVE this one??

This is two smooth, effortless coats. That's the other thing that sold me, the application of this one is like butter. Melting butter, really! I did zero clean up and one layer of Essie Gel Setter. It's glassy magenta perfection.

As always, you can find these gems on lynnderella.com.

Vapid Lacquer Snow Fox and Black Friday 2015 Swatches!

*Purchased by me*

Vapid Lacquer is doing a restock today at noon CST, so I had to get these swatches up today! Vapid Snow Fox is a soft creamy white crelly with holo shimmer and gold, bronze and silver chrome flakes.  The holo shimmer is subtle, but you do catch a glimpse of rainbow-y goodness depending on the light. The gold and bronze flakes are so pretty in the off-white base!

I did three coats of Snow Fox. It was easy to apply and had a really great consistency. With the crelly base, there is a little VNL left, but I don't mind it here.

Vapid Black Friday 2015 is a black holo with tons of the same gold, bronze and silver chrome flakes as Snow Fox. Black Friday is also a thermal, as you will see below. This one has a very strong linear holo flame and the chrome flakes add a nice golden bronze tone to the polish. Black Friday 2015 is totally unique from any other black holo in my collection!

This is two easy coats. I am quickly falling in love with the Vapid formula. It has almost that gel-like consistency and it's just so effortless to apply. I barely did any clean up here!

Here are so shots of Black Friday in it's warm state and changing back to cold. I had to use water to make it change, it was cold out again. CT has had such warm weather, but it seems I keep swatching thermals on the coldest days of the year!

I love how the warm state shows off the chrome flakes really well!

These two polishes, as well as Sweaters n' Denim and several others, will be restocked today on http://vapid.mybigcommerce.com at noon CST. I plan on grabbing Pegasus Poots, Twerk-uoise and maybe Problem Child!
