OPI Starlight Holiday 2015 Collection, Part 1!

 *Sent for review*

What do we have in this large box from OPI? Hmmmm let's take a peek!

It's the Starlight Holiday collection, along with some goodies!! Getting this box was like an early Christmas present for me. Aside from the beautiful nail polish, OPI also sent a Swarovski crystal bracelet and a tasty treat. Check out this bracelet, it's very cool!

Sadly my package was tossed around a lot, so my lollipop was broken, but I bet it will still taste good and the swirl design is so pretty!

Below you can see the contents of the box, minus the nail wheels (a lot of them were broken- I need to have a chat with my UPS guy).

OPI Ce-less-tial Is More was the first polish I tried from the collection and it was an instant hit with me! It is a white gold mix of glitters with some holo accents and a rosy blush tinge.

I had to take a picture with the Swarovski bracelet! Ce-less-tial Is More goes really well with the crystals sparkling inside the black.

Ce-less-tial Is More was easy to apply. This is three thin coats and it was very nicely opaque. I wasn't sure if this would be full coverage, but it definitely is, although I'm sure it would be nice layered over something as well!

OPI Let Your Love Shine is a pretty berry red shimmer. The shimmer in this is really gorgeous- it looks like burning embers within the depths of the polish. This is one of those reds that leans a bit pink, so it's not a true red. But the shimmer is golden, so I think it will look good on both warm and cool skin tones.

This is two coats of Let Your Love Shine. It has a great formula and a nice consistency. I will definitely fit this one in to my holiday mani or pedi menu.

OPI Press * For Silver is an interesting metallic rose silver. I like this metallic with rose thing that this collection has going on. Press * For Silver reminds me of the new rose gold hair trend- platinum blonde with some hints of pink. I love a good metallic polish and this one is unique in my collection, so I'm on board with it.

This is three thin coats of Press * For Silver. It is a little brushstroke-y, but that's never a huge deal for me. I know it is a big deal for some people though. Other than that, it applied well, but it was a tad on the thinner side.

OPI Infrared-y to Glow is a glitter topper with irregularly shaped gold and pink metallic shards and holo silver glitters in a clear base. The mix of pink and gold glitters give this a rose gold glow that is in keeping with the rosy metallics we've seen so far. I really like this paired with Press * For Silver, it is a great holiday party look for sure!

This is about two coats dabbed on. This would probably be hard to apply with regular brushstrokes, but it was pretty easy with dabbing. The base was not too thick, nor too thin, so that helped make it easier.

OPI No More Mr. Night Sky is a shimmery dark grey. This is one of those shimmers where you can see all of the shimmer particles, I love how those look. I want to dig out my bottle of OPI Brand New Skates and compare the two, I have a feeling they might be slightly similar. But Brand New Skates is a really great older OPI that a lot of newer polish lovers don't have, so I think this a great color to release this year!

This is three coats of No More Mr. Night Sky. Indoors and in low lighting, it looked like it was nicely opaque, but in the sun, I can see some patchiness. The formula is a little on the thin side and the first coat was pretty sheer. It does build up with additional coats though.

OPI Two Wrongs Don't Make a Meteorite is another glitter topper. This one has lots of gunmetal diamond glitters, rosy silver shards, and rosy silver small hex glitters in a clear base.

This is around two dabbed coats over No More Mr. Night Sky. This one was a little harder to apply than Infrared-y to Glow. The diamonds are pretty large and kind of stick together sometimes. Dabbing is definitely the way to go when applying this, but you will probably have to spread the glitters around a bit before they look nicely arranged.

I have tons more OPI Starlight swatches coming up, so stay tuned for those. I think my favorite of this bunch is Ce-less-tial Is More. So far, these are really great holiday polishes. Very festive and of course, super sparkly!

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 21!

*Sent for review*

OK so who did some Black Friday shopping this morning? I refuse to leave my house on Black Friday (I don't want to get trampled LOL), but I did do some online shopping. Lynnderella is having a Black Friday sale, as is Vapid Lacquer, so I got some pretty goodies from both. Lynnderella has 25% off a TON of polishes on lynnderella.com and lynnderella.storenvy.com, so make sure to check that out. Today I have two new Lynnderella LEs for you, starting off with Lynnderella Malted. Malted is a unique shimmery pinkish taupe with tiny holographic flakes. It has a soft lilac glow at certain angles too. This is a different take on neutral for sure!

This is three thin coats of Malted. I still had a little VNL after the first two coats, but the third one made it pretty nicely opaque. It applied well, the holo flakes lay nice and flat.

Lynnderella Birthday Fairy has a translucent minty green base with tons of iridescent shimmer, holo glitter, and silver holo stars and mini hearts. It is a real party for your nails! It also has teeny bar glitters, which I usually don't like, but they are really pretty in this polish. I think because they are all holo, so they end up just flashing rainbows all over the place. Plus, they are very small, so they don't stick up or hang off the edge of your nails at all.

This is just one dabbed coat of Birthday Fairy over OPI Incognito in Sausalito. It has a ton of glitter, but it was easy to apply with the dabbing method.

I wanted to show you my Thanksgiving mani too! I'm still wearing this and loving the combo! It's Lynnderella If Wishes Were Turkeys... over OPI Rollin in Cashmere. I hope my US readers had a lovely Thanksgiving and if you are out Black Friday shopping, be careful! If you got any nail polish/makeup from the online sales, LMK what you got!!

These limited edition Lynnderellas are available now on lynnderella.com and lynnderella.storenvy.com.

Vapid Sweaters n' Denim

*Purchased by me*

Today I have my first ever polish from Vapid Lacquer for your viewing enjoyment. I started seeing a lot of ISOs for this polish in various Facebook polish groups, so I had to find out what was so great about it. Turns out it really is AMAZING!!! Vapid Sweaters n' Denim is a thermal polish that changes from a deep cornflower blue with tons of rosy copper shimmer (cold) to a golden nude with rosy copper shimmer (warm). The cold color is basically my dream contrast shimmer polish. The shimmer pops so much against the dusky blue and you can see it in all lighting situations. It's not one of those where you have to go searching for the shimmer. I have been dreaming of a polish like this for a long time!!

My order came with a Vapid logo sticker, an adorable mini panda and some Starburst (not pictured because I ate them!).

^OMG.... Just look at it. Drooooooool!

Above you can see Sweaters n' Denim in a mostly warm state. It was really cold when I took these pictures, so it kept wanting to change back. But it's a beautiful warm nude and the shimmer is still very prominent. I love how drastic the change is between the cold and warm colors. It's not one of those thermals where you're trying to figure out what the difference is.

This is two super easy coats. This polish was just flawless to apply. It has a nice big brush, so you can cover the nail in about two strokes and it's a nicely shaped brush, so I actually didn't do any clean-up here. If all Vapids are like this one, I am buying 45 more.

Vapid Sweaters n' Denim will be restocked this Friday (Black Friday) on http://vapid.mybigcommerce.com. Check out Vapid's Facebook page for more restock info.

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 20!

*Sent for review*

It's Friday again, and as you read this, I am at a huge Irish dance competition with my students, so please give them positive thoughts. I hope they all do really well, they've been working so hard! I have some pretty sparkly Lynnderellas for you today, starting off with Lynnderella Nice Ink!. Nice Ink! is a purply-blue microglitter with irregularly shaped holographic flecks. It has a clear base, a pink/lavender sheen to it.

This is three thin coats of Nice Ink!. It is pretty easy to apply, I had no problems. It is nicely opaque on it's own. I used one layer of Essie Gel Setter on top and it's very smooth to the touch.

Lynnderella Etincelle is a new special edition thermal polish! I love that Lynnderella is doing more thermals lately, they are so much fun to wear! This one has lots of gorgeous holo and metallic blue-violet glitter, including blue lightening bolts! It also has holo silver lightening bolts and teeny stars. The base changes from blue-violet when cold to clear when warm. The pictures above and below are cold.

This is two coats dabbed over OPI Angel with a Lead Foot. It is a little thick with all of the glitter, but dabbing made it easier to work with. Below is the polish warm, with a little change back to cold on my pinky finger.

Lynnderella Peach Glacee is a new LE that is described as "translucent peach loaded with multishimmer, yellow and aqua nano flakes and blue iridescence". Peach Glacee is a soft pink-peach with pretty iridescent blue shimmer. I think in the photo below, you can see the yellow and aqua nano flakes. They make the polish really different and add cool layers of sparkle to the polish.

This is three coats of Peach Glacee. It is a little sheer, but buildable in three coats. It was easy to apply and has a nice consistency. This would also be gorgeous layered over a pink or peachy pink creme.

ILNP The Road to Awe

*Purchased by me*

Hi polish lovers! My birthday was Sunday and I have a look at my birthday mani for you today. My birthday was Sunday, but I'm still wearing this now- it's so pretty! ILNP The Road To Awe has color-shifting flakies in an array of fall hues. These flakes change from purple and wine to copper and gold, and I even see some hints of blue and green. Their true beauty wasn't showing up in the sun, so I took these pictures in the shade, sorry for the dim lighting.

This is two coats of The Road to Awe over OPI Skating on Thin Ice-land. I thought this combo would be great, but I'm not sure it really allowed the flakies to pop. Either a lighter or way darker color (like black) might have been better. In any case, it was easy to apply!

*Purchased by me*

ILNP The Road to Awe is available now on ILNP.com. The holiday ILNP pre-order is coming soon, are you eyeing anything? I want the rose gold one, Juliette, I think it's called!
