ILNP First Class

*Purchased by me*

I got my ILNP Fall collection pre-order! Woohoo!! I couldn't decide which beautiful polish to swatch first, so I closed my eyes and picked one at random.  I ended up picking ILNP First Class to show you today! First Class has rich silver metallic flakes and a strong linear holographic flame in the sunlight. In the shade and dim lighting, you notice the super sparkly flakes. They are really blingy and kind of a cross between light silver and a bit of a gunmetal silver. In the sun, you get to see the holographic flame. I like the below picture because you can see the flakes on half the nail and rainbow on the other half! It's crazy how different it looks it different light.

This is three thin coats of First Class. It was opaque in two and I would do two if I were wearing it, but sometimes three is best for photos with this kind of polish. The formula was great, very easy to apply and had a great consistency!

The ILNP Fall collection will go on sale on October 2nd on ILNP.com, are you eyeing anything? I also got Spiced Eggnog, Mountain View and The Road to Awe. Which one would you like to see next?

Two Great Fall Shades from Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen!

 *Sent for review*

Sally Hansen has a couple of cool collaborations with designers for fall 2015 and I have two of the shades from the Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen collection. I love Prabal Gurung's designs and bought a TON of stuff from the Prabal Gurung x Target collection, so I was excited for these polishes.  Sally Hansen Leaf Peeper is a dusty rose creme with hints of brown and mauve. It is cozy feeling for fall, with some plummy undertones. It's definitely not an old-looking rose, it has enough darkness to it to feel fresh.

This is two easy coats of Leaf Peeper. It was very nicely pigmented and had a smooth formula.

Sally Hansen Midnight Affair is a deep nearly navy blue creme. I would say it's maybe a shade or two lighter than a true navy blue and it's funny, because I was just wishing I had a dark blue creme like this. Not too dark, but rich enough to feel like a real fall color.

This is two coats and the formula was good. It was easy to work with and had a good consistency, no worries about cuticle flooding.

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 12!

*Sent for review*

Woohoo it's Friday!! I finally got my car this morning (more on that later) and I have sparkly Lynnderellas to show you, so it's a great day all around! Lynnderella Sky-Blue Copper is a new fall LE with holographic copper glitter and small dark blue flakes in a clear base with lots of blue and copper shimmer. Sky-Blue Copper is very unique and every time you look at it it looks a bit different. Sometimes you can see the blue shimmer more and other times it looks more copper or rose gold. Plus, the holo glitter adds the rainbow effect in there too!

This is two easy coats of Sky-Blue Copper. It had a great formula and it was opaque in just two coats. Despite being packed with micro-glitter, I didn't find it to be too thick at all and it was smooth to the touch with one coat of Essie Gel Setter Top Coat (review coming soon!).

 *Purchased by me*

Next up is Lynnderella Her Idea of Magic. Her Idea of Magic is a special edition polish that came out awhile back, but don't worry- it's still available! This is a bright, glowing blurple shimmer with holographic microglitter. The vibrant blue violet color is so pretty and I love the holo sparkles throughout the polish.

This is three thin coats of Her Idea of Magic. You could most likely do two slightly thicker coats as well. It was pretty pigmented and easy to apply. This is more like a smooth shimmer polish with some microglitter in it, rather than a full coating of glitter, so it's nice and smooth with top coat.

Sky-Blue Copper and Her Idea of Magic are both available on lynnderella.com! Lynnderellas are also available on lynnderella.storenvy.com.

OPI Venice Mini Set Swatches!

*Sent for review*

Happy first day of fall!!! Time to break out all the fall nail polish, the pumpkin everything and start raking leaves! Today I have the OPI Venice collection mini set for you, a great little selection of polishes from the big OPI fall collection.

OPI A Great Opera-tunity is a melon-tinted beige creme. OPI calls it a "lush melon", but it has much more of a neutral tone to it than a bright orange melon.

This is two easy coats of A Great Opera-tunity. It was easy to apply and opaque in two coats. The formula was a great consistency, it just glides on the nails.

OPI Amore at the Grand Canal is a ruby red creme. It's a great red, very rich looking for fall.

This is two coats of Amore. It was easy to apply and nicely pigmented. This isn't a jelly, but it has some of that squishy feel to it.

OPI Worth a Pretty Penne is a shimmery pale copper. It's more of a soft burnished rose gold, not a bright copper penny color. I love this shade of polish, so this was one of the colors I was most excited for in this collection!

This is two coats of Worth a Pretty Penne. It was easy to apply and nicely opaque. It also was pretty smooth, not too brushstroke-y, so that was great news!

OPI My Gondola or Yours? is a black creme. I think there might be some hidden shimmer in here, but it's pretty well hidden. For all intents and purposes, this looks like a creme when it's on the nails.

This is three coats. The first two were still a little patchy looking, so I did a third for full coverage and a smooth look. With a color this dark, I was hoping for a one coater, but no dice.

*Sent for review*

The Venice mini set is a cute selection of some of the useful, basic shades in the collection. If you're looking for a new red creme, neutral creme, and black, this is a good option. And who doesn't love a rose gold shimmer?! I might have to buy a full size bottle of Worth a Pretty Penne!

The OPI Venice collection is available now at Ulta, Ulta.com and professional salons.

Sally Hansen ManiMatch App!

THE NEW AUGMENTED-REALITY NAIL POLISH TRY-ON APP
FROM SALLY HANSEN: LIVE, 3D AND FIRST TO MARKET
ManiMatchTM DELIGHTS USERS WITH NEW INSTANT-SCAN TECHNOLOGY, 3D AUGMENTED REALITY TRY-ON OVER 200 SALLY HANSEN SHADES AND PERSONALIZED RECOMMENDATIONS IN REAL TIME

NEW YORK, NEW YORK. Building on next-generation augmented reality technology, Sally Hansen the #1-selling nail color and nail care brand in the US is transforming the shopping experience with the new ManiMatchTM mobile app. Users can try on the rainbow of over 200 Sally Hansen nail polish shades in real time, on their nails, before they buy. A simple scan of the user’s hand from any smartphone enables the user to instantly consider and curate her own color choices. There’s no uploading, picture-taking or manual data entry, as the app works in real time. It also generates personalized-for-her-skin-tone color suggestions on demand; using cutting-edge, proprietary technology, the app senses and analyzes the pigments in each user’s hand, then matches its polish-shade suggestions to the ones optimally flattering to her skin.
Choosing the perfect shade is traditionally both the most fun and the most difficult aspect of shopping for nail color; consumers surreptitiously dab color onto a single or several nails to approximate how given shades might look on their hands in relation to skin tones, mood or outfit. ManiMatchTM flips the trial-on- ly-post-purchase shopping experience that has always frustrated nail color shoppers, transforming the process into a moment of discovery, excitement and pleasure. “The app is addictive; everyone who tries it can’t stop herself from checking out more options,” says Jeremy Lowenstein, Sally Hansen Global Marketing Vice President. “The fact that you see exactly how a color will look on your own hands is just pure fun—and incredibly useful. People end up experimenting with shades they’d never normally try.”
“The innovative technology uses bespoke skin tone analysis and an algorithm to map the hand.” – says Kristen D’Arcy, Global Digital Vice President. “It tracks the individual nuances of the user’s hands, analyzes skin tone, finds the nail beds, and photo-realistically simulates our nail polish shades, with shine: the finished manicure appears instantly on the user’s hand. ManiMatchTM generates shade suggestions across all Sally Hansen’s product lines, including Miracle Gel, Complete Salon Manicure, Insta-Dri and Xtreme Wear, so users can easily navigate and experience every color they desire.”
The launch of this app coincides with the release of the new Miracle Gel® Top Coat and new fashionable shades. Available for download for free on iOS platforms when it launches September 2015 (and select Android devices later in fall), ManiMatchTM is poised to revolutionize nail color shopping, both in store and ecommerce. Sally Hansen will host a kick-off consumer event in NYC to introduce the app. The first users to share the experience with a friend will have a chance to become the next Sally Hansen hand model for Sally Hansen social media

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 11!

*Sent for review*

I have a smaller, but still so sparkly, Lynnderella Friday post for you today! This has been a rough week, just getting back into the swing of things after the summer! Lynnderella Tiger Heart is definitely cheering me up though. Tiger Heart is a very special Lynnderella because it was "created to benefit The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado. The charity’s mission is to rescue and care for abandoned and abused lions, tigers, bears and other exotic animals that have been confiscated by law enforcement agencies from illegal situations". This is a cause near and dear to me- I am a huge lover of animals, especially big cats. Not only does Tiger Heart support a great cause, but it is also a striking assortment of bright rainbow-colored glitters in all shapes and sizes. The rainbow glitters are paired nicely with black and white accents and silver holo microglitter.

I used a white base for this mani (OPI Non-Stop White) to really show off the range of colors in this polish. This is just one dabbed coat of Tiger Heart, the glitter is plentiful. It was easy to apply and had a great consistency. I'd love to wear Tiger Heart over a bright neon pink next for a totally 80's feel!

 *Purchased by me*

Next up is a polish I've been meaning to get for ages, but I just picked it up in Lynnderella's first ever Warehouse Sale (LOVED this sale!). Lynnderella Nine Drummers Dreaming is a core polish from the Twelve Days of Christmas collection, but it works very well for fall too. Nine Drummers Dreaming has purple, red and green metallic glitters with some gold and white accents in a purple shimmered clear base. It really looks Christmas-y on top of this dark green base, but I am OK with that cause 97 days til Christmas!!!!

This is one dabbed coat of Nine Drummers Dreaming over Barielle Born 2 B Naughty. It had a great formula and applied very easily. I am so happy I finally got this and can't wait to wear it at Christmas time!

Tiger Heart and Nine Drummers Dreaming are available on lynnderella.com. Lynnderellas are also available on lynnderella.storenvy.com.

OPI Venice Fall 2015 Swatches, Part 1!

 *Purchased by me*

Today I have the two polishes from the OPI Venice Fall 2015 collection that I just couldn't wait to get my hands on! Funnily enough, they are not typical fall colors at all. I like the fact that more polish companies are including some crossover shades in their seasonal collections. The seasonal collections come out so early these days. I might want to wear a brand new polish, but when it's still 97 degrees outside, I'm not in a fall mood yet. But I can happily sport OPI Gelato On My Mind! Gelato On My Mind is a wonderful icy blue mint. It has a slight minty feel to it, but it's much more blue than green. I'm in love with this shade!

This is three thin coats. It was a little streaky on the first two coats, but it evened out nicely with the third coat. It looks so juicy, doesn't it? I did use a layer of top coat, but it's fairly shiny alone too. It has a nice consistency, not too thin like some polishes this color. Some people say this is a dupe for either Essie Mint Candy Apple or Essie Blossom Dandy. I do not own either of those. Strangely, I hated MCA on me and gave it away to a friend. But I love Gelato on, so I'm not sure how that works out!

OPI Purple Palazzo Pants is a very typical "Me" shade and an atypical shade for fall. I wear soft lilac purples like this all the time. I wear them alone and under all sorts of glitter toppers. I pretty much wear them like other people would wear neutrals, they are my go-to color. Purple Palazzo Pants is a nice pale lilac with touches of pink. It is more lavender purple than it is pink though. I thought it would be similar to my beloved OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender, but LLL is much pinker, though they are similar in terms of color saturation, kind of washed out and pastel.

This is three thin coats. You probably could do two coats, it was pretty pigmented, but I like to do my three thin ones. The formula was thinner and runnier than Gelato. Even though I was being cautious, I flooded my cuticles twice. So go slow, and don't load up the brush too much.

Purchased by me*

I love these two colors a lot and love the Venice theme. I'm not sure if these colors really represent Venice and it's amazing history. However, whenever I do make it over to Venice, I plan on eating gelato about 5 times a day and both of these colors make me think of the sweet treat!

The OPI Venice collection is available now at Ulta, Ulta.com and professional salons.
