Seize the Summer with Nicole by OPI's 4 New Shades!

 *Sent for review*

Are you enjoying summer so far? It's hard to believe it's finally here, I feel like spring went by fast! Nicole by OPI has given us 4 new fun shades for the summer festivities in their Seize the Summer collection. This pretty bright pink creme is Nicole by OPI LeaPink for Joy. LeaPink for Joy is a nice bright pink that isn't a neon, nor is it close to neon. So if you like to wear brights in the summer, but really aren't a neon fan, this would be great for you. It's not too blue-based either, so it should flatter a variety of skin tones.

LeaPink for Joy was easy to apply. This is two coats, it was nicely pigmented and went on smoothly. The air bubble on my middle nail was caused by my misbehaving top coat. Every top coat I own needs thinner right now and I ran out of it, grrrr! Must get some this week.

Nicole by OPI Lay It On the Lime is a very interesting shade of spearmint. It's bright, yet also kind of pale at the same time, and it definitely has a yellow cast to it. This is a citrus yellow-green. I totally love this and will definitely have a nice place for it in my collection. I think the last picture might be the most color accurate, this was slightly difficult to capture. It's a unique balance of bright and light.

Lay It On the Lime wasn't super easy to work with, but not terrible either. It's definitely a three-coater. The first coat is pretty sheer and had a streak or two, but the third coat really evened it out. Just use a little care to not make too many brushstrokes on each nail and you should be fine.

Nicole by OPI Shaved Nice is a mix of silver, matte white, green and pink glitters in clear base. The glitter mix is mostly silver and white with a smattering of the colored glitters. The silver and colored glitters are shiny, but the overall effect is not too shiny looking, thanks to the matte white glitter and the fact that the silver glitter is pretty teeny. I thought this would be similar to Muppet's World Tour, just based on the glitter colors, but it's totally different.

This is just one coat of Shaved Nice over Lay It On the Lime. I don't think this would really be a great full coverage glitter, but it is perfect for layering over anything! It applies very easily and the glitter spreads around evenly.

I am forever a fan of coral polish in the summer. I don't ever get tired of seeing it, even though I probably own 20 coral cremes. Nicole by OPI The Coral of the Story is a fantastic choice for a bright coral creme. It is a reddened coral, but you can definitely still see the hints of pink and orange that make it a coral. It's bright and cheery for sure, but not neon. I think this would be really flattering on almost every skin tone as well. It does have enough pink in there for the very fair, pink-toned people, but also plenty of red and orange for warmer colorings.

This is two coats of The Coral of the Story and it had an excellent formula. Great pigmentation and super easy, smooth application. Love!

Here's two coats of Shaved Nice over The Coral of the Story. It looks really red-orange with the glitter over it, doesn't it? I like Shaved Nice, it's a good layering glitter that's a bit sparkly, but not crazy. You could put it over anything.

For a small 4-piece release, I really like these polishes! The Coral of the Story and Lay It On the Lime are my favorites, with Lay It On the Lime being the most unique. But Shaved Ice and LeaPink for Joy are great choices if you need a new layering glitter or bright pink creme.

Nicole by OPI's 4 new nail lacquers are available now for $7.99 each at retailers including select Fred Meyer, CVS, Duane Reade, H-E-B, Ulta, Harmon, Kmart locations. In Canada, these shades will be available for $10.99 each at select Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart and Target Canada.
