Last Minute Gift Ideas!

If you're looking for some last minute stocking stuffers for the nail polish lover in your life, why not pick up a mini polish set?
A great choice is Color Club's set of four mini holiday-themed polishes.

Color Club Wonderland Holiday minis

This set includes Under the Mistletoe, Yule Love It, Wonderland, and a clear top coat and is $7.95 for four .25fl oz. polishes. Pictures taken without flash, unless otherwise noted.

Under the Mistletoe

Under the Mistletoe is my favorite of this collection. It is a light, bright, springy green jelly base with small, dense glitter packed into the polish. I love this for Christmas, it's kind of a fresh alternative to the same old Christmas colors, but I think I'll also be sporting this come springtime.
This is three coats. The polish was even on two coats, I only went with three for a little more opacity. I loved this so much, I didn't want to take it off to review the other colors!

Wonderland

Wonderland is probably my least favorite in this set, but it is still pretty nice for the holidays. Wonderland is small, dense silver glitter packed into a clear base. I think for me personally, this would be best as a topcoat over another color. That's just me, I hate sheer polish. It is nice and sparkly and like Under the Mistletoe, it goes on very evenly. This is three coats.

Yule Love It

Yule Love It- Color Club is right, I LOVE it!! This one is pretty much tied with Under the Mistletoe for first place in this collection. Sadly, my pictures don't really capture how gorgeous it is! The real color of this polish is much brighter, almost glowing. Yule Love It is the same small, dense glitter of the other two in a red/pink jelly base. This definitely leans pinkish (kind of magenta actually), so it has the same "alternative Christmas" feeling as Under the Mistletoe. I will definitely wear it all year long. My mom picked this as her Christmas day polish! This is just two coats.

The top coat included in this set is pretty good! Decent drying time, nice shine, and held up very well over a few days. It's not super fast dry like Seche Vite, but that makes it last longer. In all of these pictures, I have one coat of the included Color Club topcoat over the polish. This set is available at a Beauty Plus Salon in a mall near you.

If no stores near you sell Color Club, I also received a Sally Hansen Salon mini polish set that is available in drugstores. It includes four Sally Hansen Salon Mini Nail Lacquers, plus a top coat. My set was the "dark" set and contained a navy blue, deep red, medium red, and an almost black purple. All of the polishes are shimmery and great for the holidays. I have yet to try this set, but Sally Hansen Salon Nail Lacquers are always long-lasting and opaque in two coats. These sets are $9.99 for five .17fl oz. polishes and are available at a CVS near you.
