Happy Halloween!!! Graveyard Nails!

*Polish sent for review, vinyls purchased by me*

Happy Halloween!!! My favorite day of the year has arrived! I decorated the inside and outside of my house, got lots of candy and did my Halloween nails. Now I'm sitting here and there have been only a couple of trick-or-treaters :(. I am about to watch Hocus Pocus, though, so that will cheer me up. My Halloween mani is the new just released Lynnderella Falling for Stars Hollow with What's Up Nails graveyard vinyls. Falling for Stars Hollow is an excellent orange-y red with teeny golden holo glitter. It's like a glowing burning ember. Lynnderella describes it as "russet red shimmerella with gold holographic nanoglitter accents and red shimmer". As most of you know, red is not one of my personal favorite polish colors, but I am really feeling this one! It goes perfectly with my Halloween vinyls and I think it will also be amazing with Thanksgiving and Christmas manis.

This was two easy coats of Falling for Stars Hollow. I used Sally Hansen Black to Black for the vinyl design. The What's Up Nails vinyls are my favorite ones to use. They are so easy to work with and always create a clean looking design. I have trouble removing some of the other vinyls I have tried, but these are easily gripped with my Tweezers and peel off perfectly every time. I plan to get a bunch of Christmas vinyls from What's Up Nails!

So I'll be hanging out eating my favorite Halloween candy (Mounds) and watching Hocus Pocus!!

*Mounds purchased and eaten by me*

Lynnderella Falling for Stars Hollow will be available shortly on http://stores.ebay.com/lynnderella-lynnderella. The graveyard nail vinyls are available on https://store.whatsupnails.com. Sally Hansen Black to Black, my new go to nail art black, is at a drugstore near you!

Rimmel London The Only 1 Lipsticks for Halloween!

*Sent for review*

Still looking for the perfect lipstick to go along with your Halloween costume? No worries- Rimmel has you covered! I have swatches for you of four Rimmel London The Only 1 Lipsticks perfect for Halloween. From left to right we have One of a Kind, Under My Spell, Oh-So Wicked, and Call Me Crazy. One of a Kind is a deep berry red with purple tones. It's vampy, but also really a flattering color. Under My Spell is a purple with some red and pink in it. This one looks a bit darker on my lips and more purple-y, less pink. The real Vamp of this show is Oh-So Wicked. This is a deep, dark burgundy wine. The perfect true vampy lip color. Lastly (and my personal favorite) is Call Me Crazy. Call Me Crazy is a hot orange-y red with some pink. It's almost coral, but it feels like a fall coral, not a summer-y one. It's almost like a bright pumpkin orange. Love it!!!

These lipsticks are nice and creamy. They glide on the lips and have great coverage in just a swipe or two. They are scented with a kind of fruity iced tea scent. It almost reminds me of the YSL lip product scent. I did find the scent to fade away and I did not detect any taste. Sadly, I don't have lip swatches for you today. We had about three cold days here last week and my face and lips turned into the driest lizard skin on the planet :/. Hopefully I can do lip swatches when they recover a bit.

These pretties are perfect for Halloween and available at a drugstore near you!!

Vapid Lacquer Batnado!

*Purchased by me*

Happy Saturday! I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend. I have to work a bit today, but then I am going to a Halloween party! Today's Halloween nails are brought to you by Vapid Lacquer. This polish was part of a set that included two polishes plus magnets from The Holo Pineapple made with Vapid polishes. Vapid Lacquer Batnado has holo silver bats, black bats, plus smaller blue and silver holo glitters of various shapes and sizes in a clear base. I love bats, I think they are amazing creatures and actually very cute, plus the name Batnado is fantastic!!

This is one dabbed coat of Batnado over one coat of Sally Hansen Black to Black. I did not use any of the black bats in Batnado (since they wouldn't show up over my base), so I did have to fish out the silver bats and apply them. Overall, this was pretty easy to use and the bats are very plentiful.

Sadly, Batnado is no longer available. The set it came in was only stocked once. If you join the Vapid Lacquer fan group on Facebook (Vapicorns), someone may have it for sale there. The good news though? Vapid is having a restock today for some of their other amazing polishes and a new one called Smoke Screen! Check it out today at 1pm Central time at vapidlacquer.com.

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 59!

 *purchased by me*

Happy Friday before Halloween!! I have some decorations up, got my pumpkins this week, and have been watching Halloween movies all week. I also have this mani on right now and I'm loving it! This orange shimmer is a Halloween mystery Lynnderella and it is so excellent!! For the last few weeks, there have been Halloween mysteries with adorable hand-drawn labels available in the Glitter Fairies (Lynnderella Facebook group). I was dying for an orange one, and I managed to snag this one with the cute spider in his web. The polish is an orange shimmer with some spooky green shimmers. It's gorgeous!

I am also wearing Lynnderella A Witch and Her Wardrobe on my index and pinky nails. This is a new core polish for Halloween and it features bats, witchy slipper pumps, cone hats, flowers and stars in a clear base with blue shimmer and teeny holographic glitters.  I dabbed a little bit of it on top of my pumpkin on my middle nail too. The pumpkin and pumpkin face on the ring nail were made using  Sally Hansen Black to Black with Vibrant Vinyls.

Sorry about the weird lighting in these pictures, I had to take them indoors because it was SNOWING when I took these!!!

A Witch and Her Wardrobe is available now at lynnderella.com now. This orange mystery is not available, but there are a few Halloween mysteries with the cute hand-drawn labels on http://stores.ebay.com/lynnderella-lynnderella.

Sally Hansen Gets Spooky for Halloween!

*Sent for review*

OK I'm finally getting down to some Halloween manis, just in time with only a week until the haunted eve! Sally Hansen has some great spooky nail offerings this year, perfect to help you with any Halloween nail art you might do. Sally Hansen Black to Black is the perfect one coat coverage black creme. It's smooth and highly pigmented. It's a nice rich black, not greyed out at all. Perfect shade for some bats :).

This is just one coat of Black to Black! The perfect coverage and relatively quick dry time make this my ideal black for nail art purposes.

Looking for a pumpkin orange to wear on Halloween this year? Check out Sally Hansen Orange Zest. I haven't been pumpkin picking yet this year, but when I go, I'll be looking for a pumpkin this exact shade.

This was two easy coats. Orange Zest was nearly a one-coater and may be one for you depending on application. I love the Insta Dri line, I find them to be great formulas and easy to apply. It's nice to see these offerings are the same!

Two Sally Hansen Miracle Gel shades are also available for Halloween- Tribal Sun (above) and Blacky-O. I reviewed Tribal Sun about a year ago when it first came out and immediately thought it would be great for Halloween!

These Sally Hansen shades are available now at a drugstore near you. Grab them today when you go grab another bag of Snickers or Kit Kats!

A Halloween Lynnderella Friday!

*Purchased by me*

I have a special treat for this Lynnderella Friday!! I've been dying to have Lynnderella make me a custom polish for Halloween for awhile now and this was the year! I didn't have any real idea of what I wanted this polish to look like, but I sent her some spooky pictures and she came up with six options for me to choose from. Honestly, if I had the money, I would have had her make all six, they sounded spectacular! But in the end, I chose "Gold holographic nanoglitter with tiny accents in orange, black, purple, green and gold. Clear base." and Lynnderella All Hallows Gold was born! The name is perfect and the weird green-y gold is so amazing. I wanted the accent glitters to be what I consider "classic" Halloween colors- orange, black, purple, and green. Lynn chose the perfect shades of those colors to go with the gold nanoglitter.

This is two very easy coats of All Hallows Gold. The nanoglitter is really great for full coverage polishes and is smooth and shiny with one layer of a good top coat.

Lynnderella is always so generous and she included an extra polish for me, as well as a huge bag of amazing Halloween loose glitters (not pictured). The extra polish was one of my other options (my second choice) and it was described as "Translucent multishimmered white "ghost" base with scattered orange, black, purple, green and gold glitters". I haven't swatched it yet, but you can bet I will have it swatched before next Lynnderella Friday! I think I'm going to call it "Just a Bunch of Hocus Pocus" ;).

*Sent for review*

Next up I have a new Shimmerella for Halloween, Lynnderella Pretty Ghouly. Pretty Ghouly is a perfect shade of girly pink, with a really cool ghoulish green shimmer. You all know I'm not a rabid pink fan, but I really love this. I think the spooky green shimmer adds some interest for me. The pink is a little short of bubblegum, not too sugary sweet, and should be pretty on lots of skin tones.

This is two flawless coats of Pretty Ghouly. It was a breeze to apply! I love Shimmerellas!

Lynnderella Pretty Ghouly is available now at http://stores.ebay.com/lynnderella-lynnderella. All Hallows Gold hasn't been released yet, as I just got my bottle, but it will also be available soon. More Halloween pretties are in stock at lynnderella.com.

Vapid Digit Dust for a Spa-like Mani!

*Purchased by me*

Hi everybody!!! Sorry about the long, unexpected blogging break! I broke a nail on my swatching hand really badly, then I was sick, and then crazy busy. But now I should be getting back in the saddle here. I plan to do lots of Halloween stuff over the next week and I have the delicious Zoya holiday collection coming up too. For today, I'm just dropping in with a little recommendation for Vapid Digit Dust. If you like to do a nail soak as part of your mani routine, you should definitely give this stuff a try! Digit Dust is kind of like a mani bomb crumbled up, which is nice because you can control how much of it you want to use. It is really moisturizing too, and the moisture stays with you for awhile too, it doesn't disappear the next time you wash your hands.

I currently have two scents of Digit Dust- Cherry Snow Cone (smells just like a cherry snow cone!) and Vapi-Birthday!, which smells like cake and vanilla and all sorts of yummy stuff. I am planning on ordering another scent, Drunken Punk'n. I have the nail sauce in that scent and it is SO GOOD!!! So I clearly need the matching Digit Dust.

Vapid Digit Dust is available now on vapidlacquer.com.

Lynnderella Friday, Vol. 57!

*Sent for review*

Hi all, hope you are having a good Friday. I have some great new Lynnderellas for you today, so let's get started with Lynnderella Luna Is a Star!. Luna is the latest in the Goddess Series of polishes and it is a lovely blue-violet holographic microglitter with teeny holo silver stars and some micro flakes. I love the depth of this blue, it looks like the night sky right after the sun sets, when it is a little purple-y. The micro flakes add a nice flash here and there.

I did find the nano star glitters got buried under the blue microglitter. There are a lot of them in the bottle, so it was hard to avoid having them go on my nails on the first coat, so it led to a lumpy look in places. The formula was also thicker feeling than Lynnderellas have been as of late. It did feel nice and smooth to the touch with one layer of top coat.

Lynnderella Pink No. 227 is a "cool medium pink shimmerella with multishimmer and subtle tonal holographic microglitter accent". It looks so glittery and blingy, but feels and applies more like a smooth shimmer, love! This pink seems to have a touch of lavender in it too, always a good thing in my opinion!

This is two flawless coats, great formula!! It was super easy to apply and needed no clean-up!

This shade is SO stunning!! Lynnderella Yes, I'm Finally Over Blue! is a richly saturated ultramarine blue shimmer with tons of blue and purple shimmers. This looks more purple or more blue depending on the light, but it really glows in any light!

This is also two easy coats! It was very pigmented and could almost be a one-coater if you do thicker coats. Perfect formula!

I saved my favorite of this bunch for last! Lynnderella Vamplify is a "vampy shimmerella that features red and blue shimmers with multicoloured holographic microglitter accents". I like that this is vampy, but it really has a lot of sparkle and dimension too. It's a nice mix of a bit of burgundy, a touch of brown and a dash of purple. The holo microglitter really pops too (see blurry picture below).

If I didn't already love this, the awesome formula would have changed my mind. Two coats, super easy to apply and perfectly smooth with one layer of top coat. A++!

These beauties are all available now at http://stores.ebay.com/lynnderella-lynnderella. For other pretty Lynns, check out lynnderella.com.
