OPI Germany Part 2!!

Sorry for the delay in posting the second part of the fabulous OPI Germany collection. It was one of those weeks where I had limited swatching time, and every time I had a few minutes to swatch it was raining! If you see a raindrop or two in this post, I literally swatched some of these in between storms! Let's start with the polish I was most looking forward to in this half, OPI German-icure by OPI. OPI Germany has lots of great vampys, and I am loving it! German-icure by OPI is a blackened burgundy shimmer. You know when the edges of a polish are super dark and the middle glows? German-icure is like that.

Vampy polishes never fail to make me drool a little. This looks like burnt rubies. Or something... LOL! The application was really great and German-icure only required two coats to be fully opaque and ready to rock.

OPI Schnapps Out of It! is an interesting color. I wasn't sure what to call it, so I looked back at the promotional material. OPI calls it "mauve". I don't really think I'd call it mauve, but then again, I don't know what to call it! Sometimes it almost looks a little ginger-y, but it's also quite pink/peach. Ginger pink? Anyway, it has a little bit of silver shimmer in it!

No problems with the formula here either. This applied nicely in two coats and was actually pretty pigmented in one coat. I love the name of this too, Schnapps Out of It! Very cute.

OPI My Very First Knockwurst is a "rosy-nude", according to OPI. It is a pink nude creme with maybe a hint of gray. Don't Pretzel My Buttons is a much more flattering nude on me, but I know my mom will love My Very First Knockwurst.

This only needed two coats for full opacity and I know there are people out there who will really appreciate OPI making opaque nude cremes! Good formula too!

I wasn't prepared to love OPI Suzi & The 7 Dusseldorfs as much as I do!! This is a beautiful bright purple shimmer. I have a few polishes in my stash that I always wished looked like this, and I bought them thinking they did look like this. But they either turned out to be too dark or didn't have enough shimmer!! So, I am super happy to have this in my collection now. This is precisely my favorite shade of purple.

The pictures of Suzi & The 7 Dusseldorfs in the sun make it look very brushstroke-y, but it actually did not look like that to my eyes! It just looked like pretty purple shimmer! This was three coats. It was OK at two, but I thought it needed the third.

OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine! is a super dark gray green creme. It is a fascinating color, because I thought at first that it looked like other grays I have, but no... it was too green. Then I thought it might look like other dark greens, but no... it's too gray!! I may have to do a comparison for you so you can see what I mean!

This is two coats and had a lovely formula again! I was impressed by all of the cremes in this collection.

OPI Unfor-Greta-bly Blue is a very shimmery medium blue. I have some polishes of a similar color, but the shimmer in this is very smooth and fine, so you may want to check it out for that reason. I think it's more reflective shimmer than some of the other shimmery blues, including OPI Swimsuit, Nailed It! from the OPI Miss Universe collection. If you look at my swatches of Swimsuit, you'll see what I mean. The shimmer particles are highly visible, whereas, in Unfor-Greta-bly Blue, they are super smooth.

Blogger decided that it really wanted to flip my last two pictures on their sides for some reason. I re-uploaded them three times, and all three times they got flipped again, so I do apologize! This was three coats, but it was pretty opaque in two. If you want to compare it to Swimsuit, Nailed It! some more, the formula of Unfor-Greta-bly was much better.

Once again, I have fallen in love with OPI's fall offerings. I love the amount of vampys they included, and I also REALLY love Don't Pretzel My Buttons (possibly my favorite nude ever) and Deutsche You Want Me Baby (the perfect fall leaf orange). I definitely recommend picking up German-icure by OPI and Every Month Is Oktoberfest soon, they seem to be crowd favorites.

Germany Collection nail lacquer shades contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and each includes OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application.
Germany by OPI are available now at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $8.50 ($9.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer.
