Zoya Jem

I finally got around to ordering my picks from the Zoya Fall 2011 Smoke and Mirrors collection! Zoya had a great BOGO sale on for a few days and I picked up four polishes for the price of two! One of the beauties I grabbed is Zoya Jem. Jem is a great blackened plum with really dense shimmer.

I LOVE this kind of color in the fall and winter. Honestly, I probably have several polishes that look a lot like this, but this is one of those colors that I just can never resist! Plus, Jem has some pretty gold-ish shimmer you can see in direct sunlight (above) and in the bottle.

I did experience some cuticle drag when applying this polish. I was surprised because I usually rave about Zoya's formula. This one wasn't quite up to Zoya's usual standard. It wasn't awful, but just not what I've come to expect from Zoya. This is two coats, but I had to cover up the cuticle drag in some places, so it's more like 2.5 coats.

Zoya Jem is available on Zoya's website, along with the rest of the Smoke and Mirrors Fall 2011 collection.

It is beautiful! I tried this one too, but the formula was great, only the color wasn't so pretty on me.

OPI Addict- Yea, it was honestly really surprising, as Zoya polish doesn't usually have any problems! Gorgeous color though!

Melanie- maybe I got a bad bottle then, if your formula was fine. Boo!! I know I'll still wear it though.

Peace, Love and Polish- Wow, that's a long time! Mine came very quickly. I hope it arrives soon!
